Renji Abarai had few things that he disliked in this world and snotty noble types were one of them. That didn't stop him from doing what was best for his small, but growing, tribal nation. The nation of Ronkú comprised itself from five separate tribes, the central tribe serving as the head. It was this tribe that Renji led. It was also this tribe that needed to make alliances on the behalf of all.

Sighing, the redheaded man strode across the furs that adorned the meeting hall. Ronkú may have been a small nation, but it was a well established one, having been united generations ago. Sure it wasn't posh like some of the kingdoms that neighbored it, but if it came down to a fight? Renji rolled his shoulders, feeling that warrior spirit rolling under his skin. Even if he was born a fighter not a leader, he still knew that his advisors spoke the best words for their nation and he could hold in his pride in serious matters. So, despite how he felt about it, he was willing to enter into an alliance with the neighboring kingdom.

In exchange for their warrior's future support, the kingdom was to arrange a marriage between their leaders. The only problem? Neither had available princesses. Renji had been stupid enough to agree and now he feared he would end up bonded to a boring prince he'd never even met before. Oh well, he brought this on himself didn't he?

"Is the envoy here yet?" Renji complained out loud, though he appeared to be in the room alone. A voice still answered him from somewhere beyond the wooden doors.

"They've just passed the market outskirts, so stop your pacing. It won't be long."

Renji sighed again, but flung himself into one of the high-backed upholstered chairs with snake engravings, settling back against the furs thrown on top. He would play patient for now, but his mind never stopped buzzing. Just who would step through these doors to greet him? He couldn't even begin to guess.

Byakuya Kuchiki rides within the carriage, escorting him was a few of his warriors, on their journey to Ronku Nation. Byakuya is the prince of the Koshibito. He was a mystery, this was the first time he had left his palace or traveled to a new place. His palace did have an Garden with its walls so he always tend to them. Now he was worried that they wasn’t getting treated right now he was coming here.

Byakuya pulls back the curtain a little watching as they pass the market. “It looks like we are almost their, your highness. So it won’t be long before you met your bethroned.” His advisor rode on a horse house of the carriage. Byakuya sighs and closes the curtain as he picks up a book he had been reading on during his trip. He hasn’t spoke a word since his sister Rukia had been killed. He was still in mourning. Maybe coming here he would get him to open up? Time will tell.

The minutes passed with the slow agony of Renji's impatience. He imagined that the Koshibito envoy would rush into the tribe center with a stupid amount of pomp. That was the way of noble nations right? Of course Ronkú had its own very dramatic level of pomp, but Renji expected that was an entirely different sort. After all the waiting, he couldn't stand sitting anymore, so as soon as the guard watching the street announced that the horse drawn carriage had reached the village's center, he rushed out of the waiting room. Because screw waiting. It wasn't in his nature. It was at the center of the tribe's village that the home of the leader sat. At least twice the size of the other homes, Renji's was adorned in most prized hides and weaving techniques. Massive pikes served as pillars in front, skeletal snake heads and feathers at the top and a small entourage of warriors in ceremonial dress. Without a doubt, this was a nation of warriors, and without a doubt, Renji was his own variety of noble as he hung out of the open flaps to see the carriage where it stopped just out front.

"So this is the carriage of my betrothed..." He sighed and forced a smile onto his ace. Might as well play nice for the sake of politics and all. His nation needed this, even if he felt fairly certain that he did not. Raising his voice into a boom, he called out to the newcomers. "Welcome!"
