Aw, cute Christmas kitty!!! We finally got our tree up. Thankfully Yuna is very good with the tree and doesn't try to climb it or eat the ornaments.

Find friends as old as me that share my hobbies? Can be a tall order. I've tried to use the convention scene for it, to only a tiny step of success, or the illusion of said step.

You isn't alone. I too am a dinosaur. An autistic dinosaur who likes historical fashion, cosplay, anime, video games, crochet, roleplaying, and theater. It is hard to find hoomans to connect with but they are out there. I finds them mostly on the internets and by joining local theater and historical society stuff. You just gotta seek out your interests and see who else is there.

Thanks. Hopefully, I'll find someone sooner or later, be it the con scene or some gaming hub.

How old are you? If you don't mind me asking.

I'm having trouble with a friend I was trying to make in person. We had agreed to go to an event together and then she only let me know 15 minutes beforehand that she would not be coming. But I had to leave 30 minutes beforehand to get there in time so I didn't find out until I was there. I was pretty peeved because I was super tired and didn't really want to go but I went because we had planned to you know? And then to find out I had driven all the way there and she wasn't going to show up...not happy. I gave it a couple of days to cool down and then sent her a nice message saying I hope she got to rest and was doing well and asked if she could let me know 30 minutes in advance next time and I haven't heard anything since. Friending is hard.

I've had a fairly busy social life this week and have plans for the weekend too. :D Gonna meet a new friend's kitties today and maybe have dinner together and then I have dinner with a couple of friends on Sunday. o uo

Going to furry meetups has certainly helped me make new friends. XD

Yeah I mean if I was going to the event specifically for the event I guess I wouldn't have minded as much but I was going to it because I wanted to see her. I had a really rough start at the event. Someone took my coffee order. I went to take it but this other person seemed like it was theirs and then when the next order came up realized that it was not. I'm not really sure how they messed it up because they were two completely different things. So I had to wait ages for my new drink but afterwards we did some crafts and I made some wood ornaments. I drew Mochi and Yuna on them with Sharpie! They're pretty cute, I'll have to remember to post a picture of them. I also followed up with that girl to ask if everything was ok but she didn't answer me sooo I guess maybe I've been ghosted? Who knows...

The spiders thing is definitely overblown, though to be fair I'm living in an urban center so... I don't really need to deal with a lot of wildlife. I see spiders so rarely.
