In truth, Ellie wasn't even her real name. It was the name of the first girl who she used to host her body. That was a long time ago however and she had since released that woman from her hold. She kept the name however to each new body she went to. It was nice pretending you were consistently somebody when you really weren't. Her true self, she didn't know. She had no name, no past or future.. because she was dead.

She didn't rememer anything. All she knew was suddenly being there in the world, but not being able to speak or touch or do anything about it. She wandered for a lot of years aimlessly. There were others like her, but none of them were able to help. The thought that perhaps this was what hell was really like had begun to cross her mind when she discovered she had a gift in her ghost form; she could possess people.

The men and women that she 'borrowed' were almost always reported missing. She had attempted to act part of their families at first as to not cause any worry, but she apparently wasn't a good actor when she was alive. Everyone always seemed to think something was up. So she had taken on the habit of sending a letter, saying they were running away for problems and would return.. then after a few months, she would release them from her hold.

Ellie stared at the back of the woman's head before stepping closer. There was an eerie silence and she watched the human girl begin to fidget and glance around her as though she knew something was up. The corners of the mirror began to ice over slightly and the teenager took a step back with a frightened expression. "..It's okay." The spirit's voice whispered, causing the human to scream. Apparently this one wasn't very brave with the supernatural. Within a matter of seconds, Ellie threw herself into the human body and the scream stopped.

The body flopped onto the ground as though she had passed out and was still for a moment. Finally she shifted and sat up, blowing a chunk of straight hair from her face and standing. "Well, that was a little dramatic.." Ellie muttered from her new voice as she dusted herself off.

It had been a while since she was a blond. Ellie gently admired herself in the mirror as she adjusted to the feeling of being tangible. "It's okay honey, You'll get to go home. I just need a little bit of time." She reassured the woman's body just in case the person inside could hear her. None of them ever answered and she didn't know if they were aware of what happened during their time of being suppressed, as she often simply left the moment she released them.

Every time Ellie would find a new body, she would go to the same spot; her first memory. It was an old abandoned house that was still fully furnished. Of course she adopted the place as her home in both a body and in her spirit form. It seemed nobody would ever go there, so she was never bothered. The only issue that could pop up was getting there. She grabbed her new purse and began to rummage through it before pulling out a wallet. It had some cash, but not nearly enough for the traveling she would have to do this time.

"..Ugh." Now she had to decide if she should try getting some cash from odd jobs, or hitch hiking. "Maybe I should just walk." Tossing her blond locks over her shoulder, she turned and walked out of the public bathroom where she had been lurking and started down the street towards the cemetery. That was always a good place to think.

Tobias lay on the rooftop of a sleepy suburban house watching the sun slowly rise into the sky. Tristan was his name before he died, but he never liked it. When he had the chance to change his name he did so without a second thought. He felt the rays of the sun tickle his chiseled body. It was strange, before he died, he was a little on the chubby side but when he came back to Earth he had the body of a Greek god. Not that he didn't like it of course. Although his skin did have a similar colour to that of marble so he did resemble a statue. The only part about him that wasn't pale were his wings and his hair. His wings were a tawny colour with little specks in them that looked like embers when the sun caught them at the right angle. His hair meanwhile was raven black, and only came just past his ears. His wings lay outstretched taking in as much heat as they were able. The only downside was that people could see him still, even after death he still hadn't really left. So to help him blend in with society he always had to wear spandex on his torso to compress his wings into his back. Tobias hated it. It was uncomfortable but he knew it was necessary. In the silence accompanied by birds and the odd lawn sprinkler he heard doors start to open and knew that people would be walking about soon. He put on the base layer struggling to fit it over his wings still after doing it hundreds of times followed by a purple polo shirt. He then climbed down off the roof by jumping into a nearby tree then down onto the front lawn of the house before making his way into town to see what the day would bring.
