"Because ... I'm probably not. But I didn't want to worry you. You already have enough worries." There was the whole camp to think of. All the trainees, to be taken care of and formed into new messengers .. .Not to mention the additional danger that Dylan's mere presence brought along with it. He was certain already that monsters were sniffling about the area, trying to find the sweet, delectable, scent of live flesh.
He snorted and paused to stare at the messy pile of clothes covering his bed. "I probably shouldn't have come." Glancing up at the messenger, Dylan smiled wryly. "Trouble follows me everywhere." Trouble could very well be called Edward. Things had gone haywire ever since the moment they'd met. But, Dylan could be trouble as well .. for a messenger.
