What do you have planned for Christmas and the New Year?

Decisions decisions, life is full of decisions that need to be made.

A good example is with the game of chance in this current event, I mean if you win once do you play again and risk losing everything?

Think about it....or not. That's also a choice.

Tonight was Part 1 of our "Four Days of Christmas Dinner".

> We had just my parents and siblings. Sort of our "test dinner" to get ready to be polite and adorable and get along.
> Tomorrow is Grandma Mary Ellen's dinner, who has been a little crazy and ill the past few years.
> Christmas Day is with my Grandma and Grandpa out on the farm. Always fun there.
> Then the last is Pizza and Beer with our family friends.

Nikki, that sounds like an interesting way to spend Christmas! 4 days of different meals...

All this talk of food makes me feel peckish, and I just ate!

That's the fun thing about life!

I'm just snuggling in with my partner for Christmas.

For New Year's though, we're going out to the Sandance dance party at the beach at the man made island here in Dubai. Got VIP tickets for it. Kind of bummed out that Gorillaz is playing nearby at another venue but we only find out afterwards. Ah wells, Also booked a $600 meal per person at a nearby steakhouse for that occasion.
Never spent money like that in my life before but my partner's trying to introduce me to 'his' world sorta. I'm crying about the prices still though.

Wow? You are going to Dubai?
That is rich!
What is your partner's world? Dubai? or Millionaire!

I recently moved to Dubai. xD
Yeah, both since Dubai incorporates both parts a lot. Though being a millionaire doesn't mean much in this country. o.o Arabs have a completely different concept of the word 'rich'.

I think most probably the cost contribute to the environment not the food...

Hello Ling!

Merry Christmas Eve!

I can't wait for Christmas, to open my gifts. Plus, my family is ordering healthy Chinese food for lunch/dinner that day as no one wants to bother with cooking, and they deliver if you spend at least $15, and of course we will as two single meals already equal that amount.

Excited for tomorrow too, going downtown to look at the Christmas lights, Christmas display, Christmas tree and wreath displays, and all that. It's a lot of fun!

Yeah. I'm hoping too.
A lot of it has to do with just the environment though since it's this whole special dinner thing for NYE.

Yeah, it's this place called California Wok. They have a number of healthy dishes. I can eat healthy Kung Pow Chicken for less than 350 calories, or Garlic Chicken that is good for you. Other good things are some beef dishes, some shrimp dishes, and also chicken dishes with mushrooms and pea pods and the like. It's so good!

Plus, this is the only Chinese place that serves brown rice.

Chinese food can be healthy when made with quality ingredients and use of good oils instead of well...lard.

Yeah, if the sauce is light and they don't bread the chicken or shrimp and nothing is candied like the nuts, it can be pretty good.

You just have to choose right.

Not all are high in sodium if you don't get like Kung Pao items, or something with a salty sauce.

The restaurant and take away places tend to be, I must admit, because Chinese cooks/chefs like to use monosodium glutamate, aka MSG, or flavour enhancer 621.

Most of the Chinese food I eat is home made,so I know it can be healthy.
