@Pixore: Thanks honey. <3 I have the decorative stockings and will soon have the gold hairpin thinger so same goes for you too. ;] You can totally borrow. <3 I'm borrowing the v-day boa from Hina atm. It's my favorite v-day item. o:
But hey; questing for commons is more fun anyhow, right? ;]
@sweetly: Well, eating often is great for the body but totally depends on how much. Some days I eat often and a LOT and...yeeeah not so good for the body. >_>;;
@Dystopia: You should post them right here. :3
edit: And eating IS fun.

I totally eat when I'm bored too. xD;;
It's like... Me: "Mom~ I'm bored~"
Mom: "What do you want to eat?"
@Lejic: Okay, thank you~ :D
And yes, getting commons is so much more fun. You can actually progress in your quest. It's not like spending days working really hard to stockpile gold and then having the rares quadruple in value. ;___;

@Pixore: I know! x_X And commons you can get little by little, it's not like 200K FOR A SINGLE PIECE! IN YOUR FACE QUESTER! >_>;; I like seeing literally that I've made some progress, you know? X3
I'm questing for all the basic singlets now. O: It's fun! I will one day have all the basics. O_O

@ Lej - Isn't it named after the Odyssey?

Well that's true but Ulysses means Odyssey, it's really the same word. I'm looking for a motivation. Windy said it was a parallel of sorts, but I need it to be a tiny bit more specific; how is it a parallel of Homer's work? In which ways?

So, I'm going to take a guess here and say that James Joyce's novel Ulysses is named after Homer's Odyssey since the 18 chapters in Ulysses correspond to episodes in the Odyssey...
Lol, I saw people struggling with this answer so I got curious and tried looking it up. I have no idea if my answer is even remotely correct though. xD;;

@sweetly: What I used to do before my "oh em gee I need to be healthy" stage was I would just not eat anything all day (just drink coke) and then a little after midnight I would have a huge BigMac thing. (McDonald's delivers until 2am here xD) That...wasn't healthy, to say the least. One meal is bad enough, but to have it so late? Damn. I can't believe I lived like that!
@Pixore: It's one of the two answers I was thinking about accepting because I probably couldn't get a full answer. XDD I'm gonna go ahead and call it and let both you and Windy win. >.o 50g to Windy and 100g to you. I'll type up the actual answer I was wishing for in a sec.

Joyce's Ulysses is a Jew of Hungarian origin, Leopold Bloom, who lives in Dublin, Ireland. His adventure consists of getting breakfast, feeding his cat, going to a funeral, doing legwork for his job, visiting pubs or restaurants, and thinking about his unfaithful wife. His activities parallel in some way the adventures of Homer's Ulysses. An example is Bloom's attendance at a funeral in a chapter entitled "Hades." This chapter parallels an episode in The Odyssey in which Ulysses visits Hades, the land of the dead (or Underworld) in Greek mythology. Bloom's unfaithful wife, Molly, represents the faithful wife of Ulysses, Penelope. A young aspiring writer, Stephen Dedalus, represents the son of Ulysses, Telemachus, who searches for his father. Although Dedalus is not Bloom's son, Dedalus nonetheless is depicted as searching for a father figure to replace his own drunken father.
Taken from this other site.
xD
Last ditch attempt.

@Windy: If you'd given this answer I would've taken it, but a tiny bit late, sorry. ;-;
@Pixore: Typing it as we speak!
The Answer:
Leopold Bloom is an anti-hero. His 'adventure' corresponds to Ulysses's adventure in an ironic way; everything Ulysses is, Bloom is not, basically. But Bloom IS the modern 'hero'. The book Ulysses shows us a modern-hero by painting the image of a homeric anti-hero.
Or something along those lines. I would've taken:
Bloom is a silly man and the opposite of Ulysses.
The chapters correspond in an ironic way.
The son-corresponding thing.
And omg Channah donated 5k to fund my thread! ;__; Yaaaay!

This is off-topic, but I'm so glad there are some nice shoes in the event shop this time around.
I usually really don't like the footwear that we have on this site for some reason. >__<
EDIT: I'm going to get dinner now.
I'll definitely keep stopping by your thread during this event though. x3
