Earplugs never block the noise
damp it some, but never stop
the constant roar is dulled
in hopes the sleep will come,
and with it precious dreams.

Damn the noises
Damn the light
Damn their voices
when I can't sleep at night.

Stablity is a lie and you
can fall forever
try to reach out and
grab something, someone
to stop you save you;
but no success.
Your fall continues.

Family falls apart,
another invites you,
but sees you faults
and won't accepts them.
Maybe families don't
love unconditionally.

The cold sinks deeper
into body, heart, soul
and mind. It numbs them
freezes them distracts them.

Eyes blur, thoughts
fade, it is the witching
hour and sleep calls,
but it is fickle and
may only be playing.
Even though I will
stop, close my ears
and mind and hope
for happy dreams.
