Figured she would have called me if there was really major issues that went down on the way across the country. Not all that angry that she hasn't called me back either. Probably caught up in getting stuff settled. She'll call when things settle down.

We did make it to Washington safely. We did run into some car issues and had to spend estra time in South Dakota, but thankfully we were able to get it fixed.

We've been here for 3 days now...I think. Pushed through and arrived late Friday night, and right now we are living out of a hotel in Tacoma. But ours days have certainly been productive. We found a house, and were approved for the loan. Only catch is that the house isn't built yet. Instead we got to chose the lot, the model, and all the color and material choices. Whats really awesome though is that the house will be maybe a 10 minute drive to base, but we're surrounded by trees and totally don't feel like we are close to the city at all. This is the floorplan that we chose: here (the price is outdated so ignore that)
Basically the Bonus room on the 3rd floor is going to be Joe's man cave. He gets to do whatever he wants there, and I get the rest of the house. But until the house is built we will be staying in an apartment. Which we just got today. Its a nice apartment too, way better than what we had in NC. But I can't wait for our house. X3

It should be completed late August. They said once the foundation is poured it takes about 60 days to complete. But hopefully they are pulling permits right now, and will start working on it ASAP.

Perfect, I will shoot for coming up there in the middle of the winter, that way I can definitely for sure shovel out your drive way. Make snow angels and basically just enjoy the snow.
Not to mention, I can take you and Joseph out for dinner, since you guys took me out to dinner, a few times while I was in NC.

xD shoveling driveways is scary. I can't imagine that much snow! It's bad enough with just the few flurries we get here, enough to need shoveling would be...too cold for too long...

Awesome. Tara is stuck at Jury duty! :lol: Told her she would probably get selected on a jury and have to be sequestered from society for awhile, no contact with one. She just about flipped out. Messing with her just fun! :twisted:

Funny enough, she is/was part of the second group of people for jury selection and she has to go back today because they aren't done selecting people. Apparently it's some hard case for them to pick people. When it's over and she is selected I will tell you (when she tells me) what the case was about.
So want to be called in for jury duty! Each time I have gotten out of it because of school or no longer living in the county. *twitches* Everyone wants to get out of it, but personally, all for being a part of the justice system. Dispensing justice one guilty verdict at a time. :lol:

Joe hit a raccoon today...we were on back roads all mornng and didn't see a thing. Then we turn onto a major highway and BAM! $120 worth of damage. </3

Holy hell dude, that's just messed up! Weird crazy stuff always seems to happen to Joe when he is in his car. Like that stuff that fell off the truck on the 101 when you guys were leaving here before moving out to NC

House update: Permits have been pulled and the huge pile of dirt that was on our lot has been leveled and they have started to dig out the hole for the foundation. Also, we met our soon to be neighbors who we share a wall with, and also found out the house on our other side was sold to a Coastie who also just PCSed out here AND is going to be in the same unit as Joe. How crazy is that?!
