Yep! A V for slowing down and an upside down V for speeding up...sometimes I get the two mixed up and have to flail for a bit to get it right.

That...sounds painful. DDD:

The guy teaching us told us how we should learn how to fall down correctly, or if you careen down a hill you'd likely break some bones...and right as he was telling us this, someone did fall down a hill and had to be carted away by emergency. >___>;;;

That does seem to be a good thing to learn about before you start skiing

Yeah, we spent a while just toppling over and learning how to fall down. Sadly I've forgotten how to do it by now.

So long as you don't break anything it really doesn't matter

Yeah...I'd hate to break something while I'm in a different country. That would suck.

Trust me it does suck. I broke my ankle down some marble steps in Italy. And I had to be flown to Spain to have it fixed. It was truly awful. But not as badge is the guy in the Room next to me, he got gored by a bull!

What I'm sorry to hear that, that sucks! And condolences to the guy next to you too for being gored by a bull I've been lucky so far that I haven't broken anything serious so far in my life.

Ni how is a good way to spell it, I hate the ping ying that the Chinese and Taiwanese use because some of them make no sense at all and doesn't sound like the way it's actually pronounced.

I think it was xie xie, which makes no sense if you pronounce it the English way. It's more like 'she' and 'eh' combined.

I just wish it were easier to learn languages. It's just so hard trying to pick up a language just from listening.
