What's been wrong with your connection

The modem has been iffy and today it died. Apparently its really old. We got a new one but da wants to switch which room it is in and mess with all the cables . . . *sigh* knowing my luck he will take all day doing it and in the end neither of us will be able to get online. He doesn't really know what he is doing but he sure is stubborn.
