Monday came around and Julius yawned and stretched in bed as he pulled the covers off him and got into the shower. He got dressed and walked over to the kitchen where he ate some toast and a glass of orange juice. When he was done, he grabbed his bag and made his way out of the house and into the driveway where his driver, Gerald greeted him and opened the door for him. Julius got inside and flung his bag on the seat beside him. They drove to school silently, as always.

He walked through the school gates, closing it behind him and spotted a familiar boy with spiky brown hair. He glanced at him and his suitcase, raising an eyebrow. What's he doing here with a suitcase?

Jakob had shown up early to school so he could get his stuff into his dormroom before classes. When his parents had informed the school that he'd need a dorm, they'd only had one space left for him. Of course he'd be sharing with Julius. He looked around, giving the redhead an awkward smile when he spotted him. Grabbing his bags, he headed over to him. "Hey there, rommie." He said jokingly, feeling a bit awkward after three weeks of no communication with the boy in front of him.

'Roomie?' he repeated, startled. 'What are you talking about?' he asked, frowning. This couldn't possibly be happening. Him? His roommate? He peered down at his bags again and then at him, shaking his head. 'I think you're mistaken' he disagreed, walking away from him towards the entrance doors.

Jakob shook his head. "Not unless there's another Julius Duncan in dormroom 143?" He asked, reaching out to stop him from walking away. My parents both had to leave on a business trip. And instead of making me move, again, they gave me the choice of moving into the dorms... And room 143 happened to be the only one with an extra bed available."

Julius couldn't believe what Jakob was saying. How could this be true? How was he not told about this? He turned around, scowling. He didn't want to have to share his room with anyone, especially not Jakob. They hadn't even spoken for three weeks! He groaned in frustration before storming off to the school office to verify if this was really true.

The secretary in the office confirmed what Jakob had told Julius moments before. That his was the only room with a bed available, since the school had a strict policy about keeping the boys and girls rooms separate.

Jakob was waiting in the hallway just outside of the office, looking slightly nervous when Julius came back out. "Julius, look. I'm not exactly thrilled about having to share with you, either... But could we both try to act mature about this, and try to get along?" He said, almost pleading with him at the end.

'Is that so?' he asked, feeling a slight pang of sadness. Of course he wasn't thrilled about having to share a room with him. Julius hadn't exactly been very kind to him these past few weeks since he started at this school. All he ever did was humiliate him and beat him up. But he could swear that he had smiled at him before, could this mean that he was a little happy? He pushed the thought aside. He probably imagined it. Julius rolled his eyes and nodded ushering Jakob to follow him up the stairs to their dorm. 'Come on then' he muttered.

Hakob smiled a little and picked up his bags, following Julius to their room. When they reached the top of the stairs, Jakob was panting slightly. "Why are there so many stairs?" He asked, taking a moment to lean against the wall as he caught his breath.

'You'll get used to it' he smirked, unlocking the room and pushing the door open. He placed his own bags on his bed and stood aside for Jakob to enter.

Jakob entered the room, looking around momentarily. Eyes falling upon the empty, unmade bed on the far wall, he went over and set his bags down next to it.

Julius pulled out his phone and glanced at the time. He should get going to class. 'You got keys?' he asked as Jakob looked around the room.

Jakob glanced up, and nodded, pulling the room key out of his pocket to show Julius. "Yeah... Guess I'll see you after classes..?"

'Sure' he replied grinning and turned away, closing the door behind him. He couldn't help but secretly feel amused. Him and Jakob sharing a dorm. This was going to be interesting. He sprinted down the stairs to his first class, a smile plastered on his face.

Jakob skipped his first class in favor of unpacking his bags. He threw his clothes into the empty dresser on his side of the room, put the books he didn't need that day on his desk, and made his bed. Everything was nice and neat... For now. He figured it'd only be a few days before his stuff was everywhere... He laughed a bit, and grabbed the books for his second class, heading down to it.

Science class went well. They carried out a practical experiment which involved carrying out flame tests for various metal solutions. Julius partnered up with Ross and together they dipped their test loops into every single solution and placed it in the fire causing a mixture of red, yellow, green, blue, orange, and lilac colours to appear. They laughed and high-fived causing their Science teacher to walk over to them and issue them a warning. They were meant to only dip the test loop into one solution at a time. It didn't bother them as they simply continued sniggering after he was gone.

Julius sat beside his friends in the cafeteria, browsing the internet through his phone and munching on a bag of chips. It was very busy in the cafeteria and the noise level was particularly high as all the students ordered their food and spoke with one another as they sat down to eat.

Jakob just got a bottle of water, an apple, and a bag of chips, and headed for one of the side exits, planning on sitting outside during his lunch break. He spotted Julius sitting with his friends, briefly considering going and asking to sit with them- after all, since he was now Julius' roommate, he would need to learn to get along with them...

He shook his head, forgetting that idea. They'd probably take it as some invitation to kick his ass again. He really didn't want more bruises to deal with, when the last set were finally almost gone.

Julius didn't see Jakob as he headed towards one of the side exits. He was too busy catching up on his social media accounts. But Ross had seen him and he nudged Julius and nodded towards Jakob. Julius lifted up his head and glanced in the direction he was referring to and sure enough, there was Jakob, holding some snacks and about to leave the cafeteria. Julius shook his head 'whatever man' but Ross was not keen to let it slide. 'What's wrong with you? you were ready to kick his ass a few weeks ago' he spluttered, shaking his head in disbelief. Julius simply grunted and continued tapping his phone.

Jakob, as he headed out the door, happened to catch the older boy look at him, then away. His friend clearly wasn't pleased with this, so Jakob hurried out, getting away before they could come after him.

Julius finished eating his snacks and stuffed his phone back in his pocket. His friends were getting up to leave and he got up, brushing any crumbs off his uniform. He left the cafeteria and headed to his next class. The day was going much quicker than he expected and he knew that tonight would be different because he'd be sharing his room with Jakob. He felt a strange, thrilling sensation. He smiled and Ross raised an eyebrow, Julius shook his head, pushing ahead of him.

Jakob had eaten his lunch, thankful to have been left alone. When the bell rang, he headed back inside and headed for his math class, then his science class, and art, before finally being set free for the day. He was about to head out to his vehicle when he remembered he was in the dorms now. Groaning at the prospect of all those stairs, he turned and headed up the three flights to the room he now shared with Julius, hoping against hope that he'd be the first one there.

When his final class ended, Julius stayed behind to finish off his Art classwork. They were using paint and he had somehow got some green paint on his left cheek and forearm. His tongue poked out slightly as he tried to concentrate on painting inside the lines. He had made a rough sketch and was just colouring it in. When he was finally done, he left his book near the windowsill to dry and put away his equipment before packing his bag and flinging it over his shoulder. He exited the classroom and slowly made his way up the stairs to his dorm.

Reaching the room, he pulled out his keys, unlocking the door and entering. He went over to his bed, sitting down on it, frowing slightly. It was nowhere near as comfortable as his at home... That would take some getting used to.

Kicking off his shoes, he curled up on the bed, back against the wall with his laptop on the bed next to him, and a book in his lap, as he started on his homework. Better to get it out of the way now, otherwise he'd never get it done.

Julius reached his dorm and unlocked the door, pushing the door open and spotted Jakob on the other side of the room on his bed, laptop beside him. He became a little startled, he must admit. He still had to get used to having someone else sharing his dorm. He muttered a quiet hello and discarded his bags on the floor beside his bed before beginning to take off his blazer and loosening his tie. He settled on his bed, kicking off his shoes and retrieving his video game console from his bedside table, flipping it open and powering it up. He glanced towards Jakob who seemed to be doing his homework. What a nerd, he grinned to himself.

Jakob looked up when Julius came into the room, giving a small smile and a 'hey' in response to his hello. He watched as the boy turned on his game system, and shook his head, returning his attention back to his homework. If he got it done now, he wouldn't be rushing to finish it in he middle of the night, depriving himself of sleep.

Julius played his video game for an hour before throwing it beside him on his bed, yawning and stretching. It was starting to get dark outside and he knew it'd be dinner time soon. He checked his phone, he had an hour left before dinner and he was getting bored. He walked over to Jakob and sat beside him, staring at his books 'what're you working on?' he asked, straining for a better view.
