I wonder what it actually feels like to have had something cut off. I mean like you probably think it's like still there even though you know it's been cut off.

@Dancing: As I understand it some people get the sensation that it is still there. It likely just takes some getting used to.

The mind is easy to trick though. I remember reading an article years back about an experiment where your own hand was hidden from view and they placed a fake hand in sight. I don't remember the details, but after a certain people would come to thin the fake hand was their own to the point that they would become hysterical if someone threatened to stab it. o.o

@sho Oh wow that really is interesting. Then again like you said the mind is easy to trick into believing something that doesn't exist or isn't actually happening.

Yeah it's crazy how that works, but I guess that its a good thing because it means people can adjust to prosthetics pretty easily I suppose.
