It's a glitch. When you click on an item in the NPC shops multiple times, it only gives one item, but still takes the gold for every click. I must have gotten impatient for some reason while browsing...

I mean....if Mene still had staff working to fix the bugs or even just posting occasionally, I'd be more concerned with it. But we're clinging to the wreckage of a sinking ship right now. As much as I loved Mene in the past, that Mene is long dead, so it wouldn't break my heart to be banned.

Buuut...I hate bump threads. They're mostly pointless. Most sites reward you with better gold for longer posts, so on thriving, active sites it makes more since to just chat. Though on here, I feel like a bump thread (at least for your unique condition, not just for everyone) should be allowable.
Like, you can have and use a bump thread only until your gold is no longer in the negatives.
But that's just my opinion.

I'm not sure if there's even enough people around anymore to make a bump thread worthwhile, either.

I wish I could take up coding; mebbe start building Mene 2.0? ^^;

Bump threads aren't really dependent on the activity of other people though. They're mainly just a place where a person can just spam post to earn small amounts of site currency. So really, the activity of the person making the bump thread is the only thing that really matters.

And/or the activities of visitors....

Unfortunately, avatar forums aren't as active as they used to be. I remember when this place was poppin, fun times

I think a lot, though not all, of it has to do with the rise of Facebook and eventual rise of other chat things like Skype, Discord, etc.
It's just faster and easier to chat there than here.
But there are, I'm sure, other reasons that sites like this are dying out as well.
It's sad, but the era is coming to an end. But there are still a few sites out there with active owners and staff that will be around for a long time yet

Yeah, I think it's staff investment too. If the staff isn't particularly invested in the site, it's gonna kinda die out on its own.

I feel like I remember Chikyu. :)
