Term time, what? I'm not sure what you mean. I'll finish this semester at school but won't return next semester.

American schooling is weird...

This semester will end in the beginning of May, and then there will be a summer semester. And at the end of August, fall semester starts. I won't be returning in Autumn.

We go in schooling for a year block at a time.

Yeah, we have two semesters that make up a year. August to December semester #1, January to May semester #2. And then you can choose to go to school during the summer.

I have to go to school in the summer this year because I'm doing a double minor, and my degree is laid out to where it takes 4 years to complete it WITHOUT minors :(
Sooo - I'm taking summer courses to try and not take 7 years to graduate xD;

I would but I can't because of my military scholarship :gonk:

It's the same at my place as well.. though there's no choosing if we go to school during summer, we just don't ^^'

There are four terms in a Scottish year, and it's compulsory you go to all of them. We also don't go to school in the summer.

Will you be able to continue back where you were when you decide to go back? Or will you have to go through it all again?

I don't know. I need to talk with one of my teachers about it. I'm going to ask to discuss the issue and see what they think of the situation. I'm sure they'll understand.

No. Not the colleges that I know of anyways.
I never asked, to be honest, but you don't hear anyone that says 'oh i'm going to school this summer'.

I can't imagine they're not going to understand :3
You can always talk to your adviser and the dean and see if you can't go on a medical leave or a year or something - just to get back on track :3

Eh? Really?
All of the colleges I know of have option for Winter and Summer term o.O;
I'm going into my 3rd year of college and I myself am taking courses this summer so I can graduate in a timely manner :3
-is double minoring and my degree is meant to utilize the entire 4 years without a minor so I have to go an extra year or two to get my 2 minors if I don't try to make it up during Summer-

And again, the people i know don't go to summer school and this is really the first time i hear about this, but maybe there are some colleges that do this... very very hidden.. maybe in the woods, so no one can know of them...

They're pretty common in NY - can't vouch for outside of NY, though lol
I do know of some outside of NY that have summer and winter term, but that's only through friends so I can't guarantee for the rest of the states, just those colleges my friends go to lol

Still, I think those options are wonderful, especially for those who are like me and don't have time during the 4 years to do a minor or a second degree :3
It gives us a chance to take courses not offered in both spring and fall so we don't have to go an extra semester of college for only a few courses :3
It's a shame all colleges don't have this option :(

In my college in PA there is no winter term but there are two summer terms that you can take classes in, sadly none of those will make me graduate faster.
