Haha... well...Shade's name kind of came about because my sister was all "ooh Shade, real original name for a grey cat" and I responded with "well, what should I have called him? Reginald? Tybalt?" And then in a re-telling of that, one of my friends threw in Demetrius and it stuck.
And Batty got his name because...well, he is bratty. And when I got him, he had been called Batman, but it didn't really suit him, so it became Batty. Which was extended to Batty Koda (the full name of the bat from Fern Gully) and the Serius was added because he's a black cat....so Serius black cat...

When you take them to the vet do you give them the full name or just what you call them xD

I just go with the short names. Less confusion.

thank you. she has a brownish sheen to her when she sits in the sunlight you can really see it. I was thinking of naming her 'Hershey kisses or dolce bacci' but yuki seemed to suit her

Lol. The names make for a great little story, but unless the kitties are in serious trouble, I rarely use their full ones.

Awww pretty! My black cat had a sort of almost dark auburn color in the sunlight. Until I had a black cat, I never realized their fur could have that brown tinge to it.

Hershey kisses sounds like it would be a ute name.
