"Get yer heads in this" Destro said, "we're not here to babysit remember? If she couldn't handle herself, she wouldn't be here. So get yer heads out of her buisiness, and in the game." He was putting it nicely, but was true. Trigger was practically bouncing in his seat within his unit laughing. "Whoo! Another who knows how to have fun" he laughed, locking onto targets himself. With that, he released a few missles within the direction of one of the units. They landed around it, making no direct contact at all. However, that had been his intention, for each explosion kicked up a cloud of dirt and dust causing it unable to see. It also pulled attention for a moment off of whatever the system was focusing on, leaving them vulnerable. Destro took the opportunity, moving through the cloud to render the unit useless. This left others wide open to Ambrosia and the others now, as he pulled back a bit.

Diego looked over the units computers, his headset allowing him to talk to the others, he could hear all that was going on. Makoto as well, Yamato did not need a set at all. He said nothing, and gave nothing away as he watched the scene below. He remained serious and monotoned as he had been before. Makoto raised an eyebrow, tapping her headset "Destro is right, focus or you'll be running this again." Diego was watching the stress put on Ambrosia's unit, it was heating up a bit but so far the vents were able to handle it. He smiled a bit, thinking to himself. He did like watching these matches, watching the units in action, the way the others interracted with eachother. Owens seemed amused by all of this, his eyes moving to the doctor a bit for a moment. The AI units were built to take in information and adapt, and it was beginning to show as they spread out along the field. The others were in for a few surprises of their own, since Diego had been asked by Yamato and Makoto to up them a bit. A few of the AI units vanished from sight, as others began to move in towards Claire and Trigger.

Since the two of them were more long range fighters, along Jerry, up close and personal would prove a bit more difficult. "Oooo, bogies on the move!" Trigger laughed, a more sinister smile forming upon his lips as the units got closer. He was partially hoping they got close, so he could watch them blow up in the end. Yamato reached a hand up to lightly brush a bit of hair behind his ear, though it would not stay there for long. Many would wonder how someone so handsome and young could be cold and stern as him. His white hair like snow, his eyes were a light lavander eyes. Many had thought growing up that the male was an albino, but his eyes were very uncharacteristic. His appearance was an inigma, much as the rest of him was in personality and manner. He seemed to be lost a bit in thought, but still paying attention at the same time.

Ambrosia paid no mind to what she was hearing over the radio chatter, since all their units were linked for the exercise. Destro's words seemed correct to her, but Triggers excited behavior and yelling about having fun made no sense at all to her, she briefly observed the combat around her, dashing wildly about, to anyone else it almost might have seemed like she was confused, but her every motion was ot duck past friendly fire and avoid enemy attacks momentarily whilst she gauged her position.

Claire kept her focus across the field itself, taking careful aim and waiting for the perfect opportunity, one of the units was closing on Destro, however she dispatched of it with two clean shots, same as before, retreating behind cover as machine-gun fire was aimed her way, this was her cue to move because the opposing artillery would start dropping shells on her head.

Jerry meanwhile was keeping an eye on the approaching troops. he had smaller scale missile launchers mounted over the shoulders of his unit, nowhere near the same destructive power of Trigger, but in mech-to-mech combat they were effective. He moved slightly further way from Trigger, towards them, he had ranged rifles fitted to his hands to firing individual rounds on the approaching mechs allowed him to pick off the closest with ease, the missile pods on his shoulders popping open and unleashing a barrage of minimissiles on the second. It was hammered head on in spit of its attempt to dodge, a chain of explosions sending it tumbling across the field.

His attention was caught however when he saw targeting resolutions for missiles form an enemy unit across the field. He was fitting specially to locate and deal with such opponents, however it was out of his lock range just yet and its target was.. the new girl? She had actually stopped still for a moment int he open, several of the machines had once again paid attention to her, a supposed easy target until she moved again, dodging and weaving between shots, bullets scraping by and peppering at the surface shielding of the unit. However the one thing she couldn't dodge was a lock from enemy missiles.

The pods of the enemy mech fired and Ambrosia turned, fleeing with the missiles chasing her. This was usually a death sentence,
"Hey blondie! Get to cover!" He called, but no response came, the young woman continued traveling in a straight path, practically inviting the missiles to get closer, "Use cover already damnit!" He called,
"Be quiet." Ambrosia's voice could finally be heard, it stunned him that she spoke at all, let alone told him to be quiet.

Her unit turned suddenly on its feet, aiming the shotgun at the missiles. With a single round the scatter gun hit the micro-missiles and, much like his own, they exploded in a chain of heat and fire as she suddenly burst forward into the fireball before her. A wave of heat and debris usually wasn't a threat to a Mark 3 as she surged forward, dashing towards the missiles as it fired another salvo, again she fired into the spread of missiles, this time at a much closer range, the missiles exploded almost point-blank in front of the opposing unit and once more she dove into the fireball, emerging on the other side with smoke and fire streaming behind her.

At absolute point-blank range, like with her first kill, she pressed the shotgun up close and fired a direct round, the machine stumbled back, a great hole sheared through its core,
"I was unable to concentrate with you shouting in my ear." She added calmly, although he wanted to make an argument that she seemed to be doing rather well for some-one who couldn't concentrate. She quickly got out of the firing line and into some cover finally, the surface of her armor was heated to the point that light was bending from the heat, like a mirage, "Restoring shields." She stated simply, in a case like this it was up tot he others int he squad to temporarily keep the enemy preoccupied while the shields of the unit returned.

The doctor continued to smile, he could only imagine how much of a yelling the young woman might get for her attitude, it wasn't like he could explain every facet of why she acted like she did, most of what he did know he couldn't even explain in public,
"You can blame me for that one," He chuckled in regard to Ambrosia telling Jerry off, it was at least true that the Doctor wasn't one to back down in front of other people or be intimidated by the loud voices of fellow coworkers, generals and even shareholders. If they wanted him working at his best, they needed to back away and shut up. Though he realized how it also might have sounded like he practically raised her, it wasn't far from the truth..

Destro sighed from his unit "aye..." He glanced over at the others, before taking a breath, while they were arguing, other units slipped into position. Five left, two had managed to slip off up to where Claire had been stationed, closing in upon her position. One pulled back, lowering a large barrel from its back to face the bickering two. As they spoke, it began charging power. A white light began to form inside of the barrel, before the system inside locked on to Jerry. "Uh oh..." Diego looked out at the field, "should we shut it down? They might not be ready for such an introduction at the moment.." It was a new kind of weapon, but perhaps using it at such a time when the team was getting to know eachother was still a danger.

"Leave it" Yamato said simply, if they could not focus to see the oncoming danger, they would see the results. In a real fight, they would not have such warnings or chances for the enemy to take pitty and not use a weapon simply cause they argue. With the barrel fully charged, it let loose a blinding fire of white light. It was not like other weapons they had practiced with at all, cutting through the ground and leaving a crater like gouge out of the surface. The systems were set not to litterally be trying to kill them at this point on this unit specifically for its new weapon. The beam headed straight past Jerry's unit, but in close enough proximity to hit the left leg.

If it hit, the metal would be seen incinerating, leaving a hole with glowing red hot edges. looking like someone had taken a giant bite out of it, leaving the unit with only one stable leg to stand on which would be useless if not cripling at this point. The end of the beam hit a rock formation near them, it exploaded into dust, sending chunks of rock and debrie flighing around them. The smoking barrel lifted, before the unit in posession of the weapon slipped off behind shielding. The two units by Claire taking this chance. One moved up behind her, as the second slipped down closer to where Trigger stood. He was in awe of the new weapon, his mind thinking about how it could blow a lot of things up, when his unit's computer beeped. It detected the unit behind him.

"Oopse" he turned, angling his unit a bit, so the blade the AI unit brought down, hit the heavy missle launcher unit on his right shoulder. They were hard enough to be used as shields or sort of shock absorbers, specially made so hitting one with such attacks would not cause it to blow up on the carrier. The final two units had moved in on Destro, having enough experience and his mind more on this than the new girl, he took out one of them quickly with his own firing weapon. That just left the other. The AI with the new weapon had found a position between two rocks, lowering the barrel now to aim at Ambrosia. They were in a pickle indeed. Jerry's unit damaged, both Trigger and Claire had a unit on them as well as Destro, and the final was targeting Ambrosia with the new weapon.

She could decide to go for it, but it had the potential of fully charging before she did. If she could not dodge in time, things could get messy or dangerous. That would leave Claire open since she was not fitted with close range weaponary. Destro would have a stronger time of taking out his unit, and Trigger if pulled off right could handle his. Unless done correctly, the exercise would cost them another unit or two for immense repairs. Yamato's eyes closed for a moment, "shut it down." Makoto looked to him and nodded, Diego setting in the command to the AI units. The green light on the field turned red, the new weaponed AI unit lowering the barrel and cutting off charge. The other three units became still as well, Destro sighed within his unit, "great..." Yamato turned away from the scene saying nothing. He walked out of the room.

"Damn!" Jerry yelled as the leg of his unit was half shattered by the laser weapon. He'd heard that some countries were testing such weapons, but he'd never seen one used, not even in a practice run, though by nature this one seemed high power, he could imagine the draw on it was costly for the unit involved, if it wasn't at least carrying a battery pack on the unit he would have been surprised.

Claire wasn't fazed by an approaching unit, once she was confident about it's rang she pulled up the sniper, it was a snapshot but it wasn't beyond her capability as she fired on it, this time cleanly striking through the core of the unit before backing off sharply again. She had almost wanted to laugh when Jerry was told off by Ambrosia but then came the light of the laser weapon. She didn't have a clear shot on it, she'd backed out of sight and by the time she'd gotten a bead on the machine the test had been forcibly halted.

Ambrosia had given up on fully recharging the shields of her unit, The moment she'd seen that unit firing on Jerry she'd launched herself in its direction, the knife in her hand had switched and with an almighty heavy she'd thrown it at the unit. The blade whistled through the air with surprising precision, aimed directly for the weapon. But the test came to a halt and the machine came to a stand-still, she watched calmly as the blade screeched along the surface of the weapon but then twisted and aimlessly scored a cut across the side of the test-unit's shoulder. She had already come up with a solution to this opponent but with the test completed she returned to normal mode and simply stared at the screen in silence,
"Oh dear, you stopped the test too soon." The doctor chuckled to himself, calmly glancing at Diego, "I imagine if the young leader hadn't stopped the test there, Ambrosia would have destroyed that weapon or that unit, whichever worked. Perhaps he does have his fathers hindsight. Or the boy simply lacks his patience." The latter statement brought a grim face to the Doctor. If the latter was the case, he couldn't entrust the truth of Ambrosia to him. Well, he had a contingency for that too.

She was frustrated because of two reasons only. First, the test was a sham from the get go. No enemy would wait for for a green light to start fighting, if they spotted you first, you were dead. And with the test incomplete there was no actual conclusion, it meant that whoever was judging this had decided whatever they wanted before it was even complete,
It was a pointless exercise to her. So much so that she aimed the shotgun in her left hand at the unit in question and fired several rounds at it. She knew at that range the shotgun was useless, the pellets simply dancing off the rocks and the armor of the unit,
"The hell is she doing now? The test is over.." Jerry grumbled to himself, he knew he was in for an earful, or worst, just that disappointed look of the captain,
"Jerry, be quiet." Claire replied over the comms, rounding the corner in her unit and watching as Ambrosia continued to fire until the current clip of the weapon was empty. She hated to admit it, but she saw in that action exactly what she herself was feeling. Frustration and anger,
"I have to hand it to you, though. That is an interesting weapon," Owens remarked, staring at the test unit, "Surprisingly durable, that knife would normally have scrapped an enemy unit's weapon.. With all the weight and likely energy draw, I cant imagine it can carry too much else for its own defense.. Is that really designed for a Mark 3 unit..?"

Diego sighed lightly, watching the scene before them unfold down on the corse. He listened to the doctor's words, before turning to look at him. "Actually...it's not" he said in reguards to his question about the weapon. He had little else to say at the moment, especially with untrained ears around them. He stepped out of the room himself, following Yamato. Makoto tapped her com set, "return to the hanger and await instruction." With that, she took off her own link, walking out. Yamato stood within the hall, glancing at her as she approached "well?" She stood at attention, "I believe you were right sir....shall I set things up then?" He gave her a nod, and she walked away down the hall.

Diego watched her go, a bit curious about what was going on. "The weapon worked, I should have the data sorted out by this afternoon" he said, wondering if the doctor would follow them out, or stay inside. Trigger watched the female fire off her rounds at a pointless target. The AI units were returning to their own hanger to be repaired and have their computer data sent to the lab. "Well that was...different" Destro said, turning his unit back, passing the others. He headed to the hanger, having a feeling even more now, that something was up. Trigger following, the two of them were released from their units. A mechanic unit was sent out to assist in bringing Jerry's unit back inside as well. Medics on standby, but no one had really been hurt this time. It was silent though, as all of them entered the hanger.

Owens smirked to himself, that was all he needed to hear really, at least the advancement hadn't halted since the loss of Yamato's father, but still they were treating it rather hush-hush. He supposed that made sense as he calmly began to walk out of the room, leaning on his cane briefly outside but then turning in the opposite direction. Jerry sat quietly in his cockpit and leaned on his left hand irritably as his machine was moved back to the hangar bay. It was like everything was going to hell now that Carl was gone.

He glanced briefly in the direction of Ambrosia's unit as it turned dutifully and walked after the others headed for the hanger, a sneer coming across his face, having her talk back to him had finally made him realize how much he hated the idea of a new teammate, but then he recalled Claire telling him to be quiet as well, the irritation made him become pretty tight-lipped as he sank in his chair, muttering to himself in irritation, even a good drink couldn't fix this particular bad mood.

Claire seemed to wait a while for Ambrosia to approach, until the other passed and she followed up behind, staring at the back of the machine. The mechanics would likely retrieve her missing blade. The image in her mind, however, was playing over and over again, seeing her shoot at the test unit in frustration. For a person who seemed to prize her logic she was doing a rather illogical thing at that moment in time. Everything seemed so distant to her.

She looked upon the situation in her mind, the battle. Everyone was more or less doing their own thing. Jerry was too busy over-worrying, she herself was even at fault for not caring. Trigger was Trigger, of course, without Jerry watching his ass he was an open target. Destro was determined to keep his cool at least, but Ambrosia's lone wolf style of combat made it difficult to support her if she didn't care for their support. Or had she realized she couldn't rely on them in their current state?

She sighed to herself, the realization sunk in that, as a Squadron, they were pretty pathetic now. If the Midland forces could see them know, they would be laughing and she couldn't even fault them on that. She opened her unit and climbe dout of it, hitting the ground low but eventually standing straight and looking towards Ambrosia's unit again. Now that she was outside she could see the fresh scars of battle on it. Her heart nearly jumped out of her chest when Shirley's voice suddenly yelled;
"Oh nooooo!!!" She called, staring up at the previously brand new unit, "What did you do?! It-it-it was all shiny and new and wonderful looking and now it's all.. Scratched and the metals stained with missile fuel burns and oh-god-what-is-wrong with you people?!" She broke into inane babbling, looking over the unit inch-by-inch and picking out various bits of debris as Ambrosia opened the chest plate, though she stared silently at the animated assistant freaking out about the unit.

Unlike the others, she was more reluctant to leave the unit, but eventually she forced herself to climb out and look up at the machine herself. She wanted to climb back in and use it more. She wasn't sure what for, or why, she just wanted to use it, fight, continue existing in that anonymous shell. Outside of it she felt cold and uncomfortable, exposed to things she wanted no part in. To these people..
Jerry finally jumped out of his own mech, glaring in Ambrosia's direction but then he simply rested his hands on his hips, biting down on his tongue and forcibly turning his head away, no point in starting an argument with her.

Trigger practically jumpped out of his unit. Even now he had a smile on his face, chuckling at the mess. He moved over to Jerry, poking his face "awe, it will be ok sour puss. Now it gives ole Gizmo a reason to upgrade~." In his own way, he was trying to make him feel better. Destro climbed down, already lighting up another cigar. "That was a mess out there" he says, "more like five individuals than a team." He stepped away to smoke for a bit. Up in the base, Yamato did not need to turn to know Owen was there. "My office...now" he walked away down the hall. He still desired to talk to the man, as he had said earlier. Walking down the hall, he was heading back himself. His mind on the events, as well as on what he was planning before them. As he went, Makoto herself made a call.

She then went down to the bay to look over the other pilots. She could tell that all of them were expecting to get yelled at. However, she had something else in mind. "Pack your bags" she says, handing a plain black card to each of them, "you are to meet in the bay tomorrow morning. Pack what you need...we will not be returning for a bit." She turned away from them all at that point, leaving them with the mystery. Trigger looked around the card, it looked quite plain. "Wonder what it's about" he said. Destro slipped his own into his pocket, "we'll find out tomorrow it seems." He looked to Claire, before he walked off. It was time for food, he was getting hungry. "Lunch time!" Trigger smiled, seeming to have the same idea, he looped his arm around Jerry's, pulling him along. The mechanics had set to work, getting things ready to move on. Diego looked over at Owens once Yamato walked away, it was a bit obvious what he wished to speak about.

He wondered if the doc would keep his work as before when he said he wanted Diego to be there when he spoke with Yamato. Yamato had made it to the office, it was simple in nature really. A dark wood desk with a sleek computer. It was organized, nothing personal on the desk. A black chair behind it, and two simpler ones in front for others to sit in. The entire wall behind the desk was made up of bookcases. There were various books, a clock, a globe and other items. It was elegant and nice, a bit dark but it was comfortable not gloomy. He slipped over behind the desk, sitting within the chair. His eyes moved to a fireplace on the right. It was warm, his mind upon the events still. He would await the doctor to speak of events concerning this new recruit. Once that was out of the way, he would move on with the task of tomorrow's events.

Jerry stared over at Trigger then simply smiled in response, it was hard to stay in a mood with his friend hanging around, he waited patiently at first for the other male to turn his back before grabbing him around the neck briefly to rub his knuckles into Trigger's head, however he let go once Makoto showed up, pulling a grim face again. Yamato wasn't there, nor was there any shouting, instead a black card. Honestly this was plain creepy to him as he examined the weird object. He knew better than to get rid of it though so he slipped it into a hidden pocket in his uniform.

Claire took her card calmly, also staring it over once before pocketing it too, they had orders to meet at the bay. They wouldn't be returning for a bit? She assumed that meant a while. If it was a military venture then all they needed were their military supplies after all, although she imagined Destro would be getting more cigars at least. She found herself briefly curious as to what Ambrosia would ask for. She clearly wasn't the emotionless robot she'd been making herself out to be, but the woman didn't think about it beyond that. Claire went her own way from the group, Destro had been dead on about how they'd acted though, five individuals.

Ambrosia took the black card as well, but showed no interest in it. If it was important enough to be handed out like that, then she wasn't going to argue or question it, immediately assigning a pocket for it and noting where she'd left it. Her focus remained on the machine she'd been riding in until one of the nearby engineers spotted her,
"You gonna stand around all day or do something, she's yours now, right?"
She looked at him quietly,t hen at the mech once more and nodded briefly grabbing the necessary cloths and gear she needed to assist in cleaning it up. It hadn't actually taken damage so this would be a simple cleanup.

Owens stared briefly at Diego, so he knew that what he'd said before still stood,
"You're a lot faster than I am Diego. Do something for me." He reached calmly to his neck, pulling up a chain with a key attached. The shape of the key was unusual, almost like one of the ignition keys for a mech, he offered the key to the young man with a smile, "Under my desk in my main office there's a safe in the floor. There's a sealed metal case and a metal binder. Grab them. You hold on to the case, but the binder is what I need for Mr. Yamato." He then pointed directly at him,
"Do not let a single person near that case. Only you may use it." The doctor warned, but then smirked, he didn't honestly believe there would be many who could even understand the contents of the case. Diego and Shirley for definite, maybe even Yamato. But it wasn't for either of those two. He was entrusting it to Diego.

With that he calmly headed towards Yamato's office, still smiling away to himself until he finally entered, taking a few steps in, the odd smile still plastered on his face,
"You really do like to put on a show.. Dont you, Mr Yamato?" He asked calmly, confidently, even he was aware by now that Owens was a man of convictions, he wasn't intimidated by the way Hatsuharu behaved, not even the boys father had ever gotten to him, he viewed such personalities as a little dull, enigmatic but the overbearing silence they liked to play around with did little more than irritate him,
"So, what would you like to know, or perhaps say, about Ambrosia?"

Diego blinked a bit, taking the key from the other. He was a bit curious about what all of this was about, but he would do as the other asked. Yamato did not glance over as the door opened and the man came in. He spoke, but even as he did, not a piece of emotion crossed Yamato's face. "You already have an idea about that don't you Owens" he finally turned his eyes slightly to the man. Why waste time with idle chit chat? He sat there for a moment, before he nodded to the file before him simply saying "fill in the blanks." He looked back at the fire, waiting for the doctor to speak then. The others heading up to the cafeteria to eat, sitting together but mostly in silence as thoughts were on the training exercise and what would happen next.

Makoto was preparing everything else, taking care of the plane and the meat of what Yamato had in store for the little group. Having reached the lab, Diego made his way to the doctor's office as he had asked. He found the safe, and inside the case and file. He was a bit curious himself about what was inside, but the doctor said it would be explained. He was a bit curious why he wanted him there, but again time would tell. Once he had managed to obtain the needed binder and material, he made his way to the elevator once more. He could just imagine Shirley freaking out with the units right now, probrably wondering where the heck he was.

He would explain what he could to her once they got done. Making his way to the office, he stood out in front of it for a moment before knocking. Yamato glanced at the door, raising an eyebrow. It did not take a genious to glance at Owens and know he had been expecting it. "Enter" he said calmly. The door opened, Diego stepped in and closed it behind him. He avoided looking to Yamato for the moment, instead holding the binder out to the doctor "as requested.."

"Don't play smart, boy, I'm over twice your age and I am already used to that bad habit from your late father. Never one to open his mouth and just say something, awkward bastard," Chiron replied sternly, staring at the file then shaking his head calmly, a smile still on his face, he half turned his head when Diego appeared with the metal binder,
"Ah, Diego!" He briefly took the binder and set it on the desk, beginning to amble about the room as he dug his free hand into his pocket calmly, "-She reminds me of Aldritch Boscoe's wife, still a ravishingly pretty lady at her age. You know Aldritch, yes? One of the leading shareholders in C.R.O.N.O.S,-" He pulled out what looked like a small datapad, "About ten years ago, she came to me and told me the most interesting things about that man, why, at one point she even said that he simply had no idea how to satisfy her, can you imagine that? And, after spending a night of passion with me, she-" The doctor smirked maliciously as he pressed a few buttons,
"Oh I really do hope he heard at least some of that.." The doctor remarked, returning to the opposite side of the desk and leaning on his cane again as he pressed a few buttons on the datapad, placing it down on the table, "The sub-level radio waves generated by this should disrupt any external listening devices entirely.. Though I see you're just as meticulous as your old man in rooting out the.. Secret admirers in the room."

He grabbed the metal binder again and tossed it closer to Yamato,
"Oh by the way, I refuse, because making this public knowledge, so to speak, could cause some serious problems. Do with me what you like, fire me, shoot me, I honestly couldn't care, I'm quite comfortable with what I've accomplished. Ambrosia is the one good deed that will comfort me in hell." He stated with a grim smile, the metal binder was open, though it needed Yamato to open it if he wanted to know something more detailed,
"So, would you like the long version, or would you simply like me to write she's a cyborg with roughly 40% of her human body remaining?"

Yamato sighed a bit, the other was being foolish but stubborn as always. He made perfect care that there were never any...uninvited guests. The added worry was a waste of time and unneeded, but he let it pass. The doctor spoke up about refusing and such, going on. Once he had finished blabbering Yamato raised an eyebrow lightly. "You really shouldn't assume doctor..." he said simply, glancing at the file. "I have no intrest in making anything 'public' at this point at all" his eyes moved back to the man, without even glancing at the binder before him. He did not seemed phased at all by the comments, calm as ever. Diego watched the two men, staying silent as he remained by the door.

"What you will give me, is the truth" he said bluntly, "enough of your assumptions and wasting of time. Start from the beginning and make it fast..the less time spent squabbling, the more time we can move on to important things." He was not afraid of the elder man either. People could paint him into whatever they wanted to, and assume away. None of them knew him, not even the one before him who seemed to continually compaire him to his father. His eyes looking within the other's showed a strength, power and something more...something that was never seen within his father's eyes. Many did say that Yamato would be the one to surpass his father.

If the other wanted to protect or help this woman at all, he would do well with listening to Yamato. He was not a man of wasting time with those who kept wasting his. If people desired to have his assistance and help, they would need to be open and honest with him from the beginning. This would be the doctor's last chance, and it was clear within the air. If he did not explain it all now and honestly, Ambrosia would be completely on her own against whatever was coming....and Yamato knew something was coming. He was no fool, even if others could not see it. The next part of his plan for the team had two purposes that would be revealed in time. But what part this woman would have in it, and if it would be benificial to her as well was laying upon the doctors words right now.

That was exactly what the other should have been aware of at that point in time. No games, no lies, within that room, at that very moment...they were not a chief, a technologist/scientist and an old physician. They were about as equal as they were going to get. As things went on, Yamato would gain power, no matter how the shareholders went about it....he would be the one inheriting C.R.O.N.O.S. In time, they would be nothing, and he would be the one on top of it all. It would be better to make a friend of him now than an enemy in reguards, if it was as important as the doctor seemed to think it was. But all of this depended on if the doctor would be smart enough to see the opportunity before him...or stupid enough to let it slip by.

The room fell into silence, the only sound came from the clock ticking behind the desk, and the roar of the fire. He placed his gloved hands together, his hair once more moving over his one eye. He kept his eye upon the doctor's, never looking away even for a moment. A task few had ever been able to do. The doctor had met his match in this case, in a game of chess, Yamato would have him in a check at this point. One move could save him...and one would place him in checkmate.

The doctor sighed to himself, the boy really was arrogant, one of these days that overconfidence was going to bite back at him and his power and position would do nothing to save him, but he simply carried on smiling,
"Your father was the first to come up with the concept of the Mark 4's, I'm sure you know this already by now, but the shareholders wanted to get a step ahead of him in development, so they pulled together their own Laboratory, under the name Apotheosis, pretentious to the very end." He chuckled once more, "Naturally they capable minds to assist them and they took to my aggressive and open complaints about your father like flies on a garbage pile, they didn't stop to think for a minute that I always acted this way."

"Number 66 was among roughly seventy candidates, seventy children with no living blood relatives, see in order to make the perfect system they also believed they needed the perfect soldier to match. I oversaw the physical health and viability of each candidate as they were raised and taught specifically in order to find a perfect prototype, When they started getting old enough, the adjustments began, cybernetic enhancements, anti-rejection serums, but one by one the candidates either died under the knife or the introduction of cybernetics to their bodies sent them insane. 66 was considered a similar failure. Her body accepted the cybernetic enhancements, but her unique nature, I believe, is what tipped the balance. Among all the candidate, she was the only one I ever saw smile. Yet once they figured out that she was happy and proud, they believed her insane, likely unstable.. Maybe she had gone insane in order to withstand existing in such a place where all her fellows were killed off one-by-one by needle men."

He rolled his shoulder calmly,
"So they abandoned her, attempted to dispose of her. Until I intervened. I took her to my own facility and continued to work on her, she didn't look half as normal as she does now until I finally developed a better method for synthetic skin bonding. I talked with her, taught her new things and explained her existence to her until she understood, it took some effort.. At age sixteen, she fully understood why I did what I did, before then I'm sure at one time or another she might have wanted to kill me, I wouldn't have blamed her. Together we approached the Apotheosis program again, this time with her as my new prototype; Ambrosia Thane. With no luck on their end yet on a perfect super soldier, their concentration had shifted to working on a new breed of mechanoid, their own Mark 4 prototype unit witht he intention of finding and hiring talented mercenaries to implant contorl chips in them that would make them compatible with their Mark 4 system. They put Ambrosia through the ropes, but she outperformed any tests they gave her. She even figured out how to pretend she wasn't human until it became the everyday norm, play the perfect obedient soldier. And they sent her out into the military, into every dangerous station, into every kind of unit available, constant combat experience. She told me at one point that she liked mechs because inside them no-one can see her smile."

"And then I saw an interesting opportunity.. The shareholders forced your unit into a dangerous situation, well aware of the risk that Talos could be destroyed, they hoped to trash the name of your superior group so that they could set forward their own units, stand in your place as the glorious saviors of the company, but they didn't count on one Carl Smith.. A flesh and blood man capable enough to do what they couldn't imagine, give of himself to save others.. With a man down, the make up of your squad wasn't complete, so I suggested something; place their own sponsored super soldier among Talos, to show their support." He chuckled grimly, "And they actually bought it.. Blind fools.."

"In more specific detail of her directly.. Ambrosia's arms and legs are completely synthetic, her bonestructure is reinforced where it couldn't be replaced, the majority of her skin is an synthetic overlay that bonds with her natural flesh through neural-linked pathways and arterial webbing that keeps the flow of blood at a near-natural state to support her body as normal. Even her muscles consist of a high-tensile protean mold, her left eye is false, feeding information to wetware in her brain and her body to increase her abilities to calculate and react." He stared at Yamato calmly taking a momentary breath, "But most importantly; she is human, she has desires and flaws as much as she works to hide them, and she has loyalty. Loyalty to an old fool who wouldn't give up on her, but I don't deserve her, so I'm entrusting her loyalty to you. I leave it to her to find out if that was a mistake or not, she's old enough to make her decision herself.." He sighed, glancing over to Diego,
"The metal case has all you would need to repair her and synthesize replacement flesh in case of an emergency. All my work and research into creating Ambrosia is int here along with various solutions and equipment for restarting her if for some reason she gets shut down, though as with any human if she stays dead for too long then she wont come back at all. A normal doctor would have no comprehension of a cyborg, a genius technologist on the other hand..?" He waved his free hand lazily before smirking towards Yamato,
"And there you have it. More or less the whole story. I still watch Apotheosis, they still watch me and you, the war rages on our doorstep,"

The two listened to the story of the doctor. Diego blinked a bit, looking at the doctor from behind, then over at Yamato. The snowed haired man seemed calm and composed as ever, what could have possibly been going through his head at this point? As the doctor mentioned the case, he glanced at it. Wait...so he was now going to be taking care of..? He sighed, reaching up to slip his glasses off. "Well this will be interesting..." he said, but it was not a no at this point. Yamato looked at the doctor. He could have called him crazy, could have yelled at him or fired him on the spot as anyone else might have done. But Yamato was not everyone else. He stood, "very well." He picked up the file, tossing it more casually within the section for Makoto to be filed.

He still had not touched the binder the doctor had given him to look at. He did not need it. If the doctor was smart enough, he might have caught that it was not arrogance so much as trust in the doctors words. He did not flip out or judge it all, as he now stood before the fire. Many things were on his mind, particularly the advancements of this little shareholder group. They really were fools. The had had no power when his father was around, set in place only if Yamato were to come into the buisiness to young...which conveniently he had. Perhaps not to conveniently as people liked to believe. He closed his eyes for a moment, allowing another silence to filter over the room.

A knock came to the door, Makoto entered the room a second later. Her eyes upon the others one by one, but she did not ask questions. "All the arrangements have been made sir" she said. Yamato turned, and nodded, before looking at Owens. "If you have anything more to say to her you have tonight to do so" he stepped to the door, "by tomorrow...it begins." With that he walked out and down the hall on his own. Makoto turned to look at Diego, holding out a black card to him like the ones the others had recieved. "Pack what is needed, and meet at the bay in the morning" she picked up the file upon spotting it, before she walked out to take care of it leaving the two of them alone.

Diego glanced at the card, replacing his glasses. Seemed they were going for a little trip tomorrow, but....what did Yamato mean 'it begins?' He looked at the doctor, he must have had his own thoughts as well at this point in the matter.

"I have nothing to say to Ambrosia. We've said all we need to. Diego-" He stared at the young man with a mild smirk, "-I believed in two people when entering this room." He picked up the datapad from the table turning it off and placing it in his pocket again, "First you, then Ambrosia," He grinned a little to himself, "And now one Hatsuharu Yamato.. He really is as annoying as his old man.. That makes three people now." He hobbled out, chuckling to himself as he walked, hand rested in his pocket.

He hadn't been completely honest about Ambrosia, but he'd covered all the important basics. He'd also given Yamato more than enough of a lead on the Apotheosis, something he hadn't had the chance to when Hatsuharu's father as around, and there was one more thing; Yamato now knew he had a spider in their web, the doctor was prepared to do anything for the sake of Ambrosia and, to some extent, the company, his life was invested into this place and he wasn't about to let some insane fools with a god complex destroy the good work of his dear friend. He was a watchful eye on their activities.

Leaving his advanced research in Diego's hands also left possibilities for the future. Diego had more time with his life to utilize that knowledge, at least if he survived war. Owens had faith in his apprentice as the one to succeed him, he himself knew that at some point this would all turn inwards on him, his own work, his betrayals to the Apotheosis group, sooner or later, it would end badly and if it didn't he wasn't sure how much further he could carry himself. For now it was one step at a time, with that satisfied smile still stuck on his face. Yes, it was nice not to feel worry for the future of C.R.O.N.O.S now that he got a better sense of Yamato.

Diego watched the doctor walk out and away, gently running a hand through his hair. Now on his own, he had time to get work done. He walked down to the hanger, where the units were. His eyes moving to Shirley as she seemed to spazz out about the units. He smiled lightly, looking then to Ambrosia cleaning her own unit up a bit. He walked to the computers there, a lot on his mind as he began to go through the motions of breaking down the data from both all thes units, and the AI ones. All of it being compiled onto a disk. He slipped it into a sleeve, and into a folder along with paperwork and the likes. He had a guess that some of the others would have remoddles and such in here soon. He would be spending an all nighter on the units then to prepare them.

He walked over to Ambrosia then, looking at her as she cleaned up the unit. "So...how was it?" he gave nothing away that he knew anything, and at this point...he did not treat her any different. He was still same old him, and she was her. He would allow her the right as he would have anyone else to show who that was before he made any choice. He glanced over the notes that he had taken on what she had asked for the unit. "Still ok with what you asked about? Or do you have any changes now that you've taken it out for a spin so to speak?" covering the bases, so he did not get all the way through the work only to have her decide to change something at the almost end. Unknown to any of them, Yamato stood up on the landing, looking over at them in silence. He had had little doubt the doctor was still keeping his secrets, but he cared little about it.

He had his own secrets and the like that would play out over time. His hand lightly moved over his heart, as for a moment his body stood still. He turned away from the scene, walking out. He headed off on his own to a place rarely known of by the others in the base. Rarely visited by others as well. A beautiful garden, possibly one of the last places one would expect to find such a man either. The sun shining down, it was silent other than the natural world around him. He slipped his hands into his pockets, his eyes slipping closed for a moment as he simply remained in silence. The others off doing their own things, he had work to attend to himself, and he would get it done.

"The unit is sufficiently responsive, once the FCS is removed I would like to balance the spare energy between the vernier units and the main booster in the back. The center of gravity is a little too low, the slightly greater bulk of the legs makes it stable, but the upper body doesn't move and lean as fluidly. Can you install some weighted stabilizers into the spacing up on the shoulders and some on the rear of the core to balance against the additional frontal weight? Their overall weight should come to around four tons, bringing the unit to roughly twenty-two, it can handle that without stressing itself. Anything over that will raise the center of gravity and force it to use more energy to balance itself." She stared at the unit for a moment. Her blade had been returned and installed back into place and she looked between the blade and the shotgun, remembering what she'd done with the large knife,
"Perhaps less weight on the upper right shoulder and a little more on the right arm to balance against the weight of the shotgun. I could feel the imbalance to the left after I threw my blade. If I do that again, it might put me off balance." She finally concluded, more satisfied with her follow-up analysis as she stared up at the machine, a couple of engineers were scrubbing at the arms and throwing dirty jokes between them, but the were working diligently enough.

She seemed to be inspecting the machine as a whole before looking at the others briefly, then once more at her machine,
"Once all the changes are implemented, I will take it out into the test field again to feel the difference." She stopped briefly raising her hand over her left eye to cover it, still staring with her right though as she quietly took it in. When she covered her eye, she didn't calculate as much or think as much. She had noticed the biggest of her new Squadron was wearing an eye-patch, and the one who had been yelling over the communications at her. But To her knowledge they weren't the same as her.

An eye-patch was pointless, since she had two functioning eyes, but she wondered if she could see things in a more human perspective if she kept the left covered more often. Eventually she dropped her left arm again, head turning as Shirley let out a frustrated yell at the damage to Jerry's unit,
"Whose bright idea was that?!" Was about all Ambrosia could make out from where she stood. The other engineers around her were all just laughing and helping her remove parts from the leg, it seemed it was mostly salvageable, butt he armor was completely scrap, warped, melted and many of the interior systems were melted but it they could be replaced. But Ambrosia wondered; was it normal to laugh at some-one else getting frustrated? That other blond woman was unusual.. Her words were chosen differently however,
"That energy weapon. Do we know if the enemy has anything similar? Doctor told me that the Far East Military forces might have developed something similar but his description of it does not match what I saw. I assume that there could be differences in development of similar technology."

Diego made notes once more as the woman spoke up. Man she was seriously opinionated indeed. He glanced up at her as she seemed to mess with her eyes a bit. He said nothing, watching. He chuckled slightly, as Shirley spazzed out at the leg damage on Jerry's unit. Once Ambrosia spoke up though again he looked over at her. "The new weapon?" he finished his notes, "particle cannon...many other nations have been dabbling in the work, but particle weapons have a tendancy as Trigger would say..to go boom if handled wrong. A very big one depending on the size and other properties...dangerous work." He slid his pen cap back on. "The chief is a genious himself...many would not peg him as the tech or science type but if he wasn't in charge...he could seriously give Shirley and me a run for our jobs" he glanced over the list.

"Repairs and changes will be taken care of...though as to taking it out again, that depends on what happens tomorrow" he looked at her. For a moment he fell silent, but then looked up at the unit "their pretty awesome....sometimes better than men...at the end of the day they don't judge, they accept those around them as they are. The unit is as strong as the pilot's heart and will." With that, he gave her a light smile, before he turned to walk over to Shirley. "Hey, es hora de irse. Time to go, we got a long night ahead of us...you can complain later" he chuckled, they had a lot of work to do. The mechanics were moving on as well, which meant Ambrosia was no longer for now allowed to be with her unit. She had the choice of going to the mess hall where the others were, or wander around. She had been given the key to her room as well.

Yamato had walked along the garden, finding one of the few benches that were out there. Slipping onto the surface, he pulled out his phone. He glanced at the numbers, before pressing one to dial. Lifting the phone to his ear, he waited for the call to connect. After a moment, a voice spoke to him on the other side. He did not need to say anything at this point, it was a report. He was used to making this call, so it was useless to waste time with words that the other side of the call would already know. "Verywell" he finally said, as the report had been delivered, "continue watch." With that he hung up, looking up at the sky.

"I will keep note of their existence for future situations. The variables of how they function will depend on their developers.." Ambrosia replied in regards to the Particle Cannons, staring up at the machine as he spoke about its heart and will, she didn't really understand what he meant by that, giving him an odd glance, the doctor had taught her about many things, but he wasn't the most philosophical, at least he didn't talk to her in such strange concept. It was one more reason to consider other people so different, they had all these thoughts and ideas that she had no basis to understand or relate to, how was she meant to agree or debate such ideas?
She wanted to argue logically that machines had no such things as hearts or will, nor the capacity to judge or accept anything. But every time she tried to think logically out loud, the doctor told her that logic wasn't always viable with people. This frustrated her even further because if logic wasn't always applicable, then how was she meant to understand them?

This simply made her lower her head and frown, trying not to think about it, if she kept looping through these issues over and over it would bother her all day. It was an inefficient consumption of time to focus on one conflicting issue that she would never resolve. She didn't realize it; but she'd more or less hit upon the correct solution.
"But-but.. Oh alright fine, but I'm still mad!" Shirley responded, waving a large monkey wrench at him before returning to work on the units. Ambrosia calmly walked past the various units of the squadron, staring at the differences and the personal colors, the various emblems chosen by their pilots and each at least had the Talos Squadron symbol printed upon them in visible view.

Ambrosia glanced briefly back at the people working on the machines before turning herself forward again. She'd already had her look around of the base, her current quarters, the bay area, the test field, even a brief look in the command section, but none of it felt like she needed to revisit. She wasn't hungry, she wasn't even tired, so she wandered, no goal in mind. However she finally came upon a specific area she didn't recognize, that hadn't been part of her tours.
A garden, an artificial garden mind you but still a garden. She glanced around at it quietly before noticing some-one there. It was that man, the evident leader, she froze in place, staring across the garden at him quietly. It seemed he'd just finished some kind of call and was just staring up. Was there something up there? Her curiosity suddenly got the better of her and she stared up as well.

Nothing.. Big emptiness.. It was the sky.. What exactly was he looking for up there?

Yamato watched a lone cloud float by, through an otherwise perfectly clear afternoon sky. His eyes half open a bit, as he merely sat there and watched it float on for a moment. Alone....He lowered his gaze, standing. Foolish, that was the first thought to come to his mind. He lifted a hand, running it through his hair. His eyes closed, and for a single moment...a small smile tugged at his lips. However, with the noting of her presence, it vanished immediately. He turned his head to look at her, their eyes meeting for a moment. The same stoic and monotoned expression filtered over his handsome features again as a silence spread between them. He slipped his hands into his pockets, what was she doing there? Few came out here, even fewer had the nerve to interrupt him or stare.

He did not move, keeping the span of the distance currently between them there. He did however, speak up. If she was merely going to sit there staring at him. "Is there something you needed agent?" he asked, watching her movements and mannerism as she stood there and would respond. He felt a tug of curiosity inside, but he would very well not say it out loud to her or any of the others. The warm sun on them with the green of the plants and colors of flowers and other flora around them. A light breeze moved through the area, lightly brushing through his hair as well. He did not seem bothered by it. In fact, if he had still been alone, he might have enjoyed the breeze. With her there though, the walls and more went up once more.

Ambrosia was momentarily lost in trying to focus on the sky, so much so that she hadn't initially realized that Yamato was staring in her direction. She looked down again, thinking that if she looked at him again she could guess better which direction he was looking. Except he was looking directly at her. She caught his stare and her body jerked very slihgtly as if she'd been momentarily stunned by the surprise, of course this was followed by being physically paralyzed on the spot, or at least it seemed that way as she continued to stare at him, even after he spoke.

"I was.." wait, why was she suddenly speaking? she seemed to be confusing herself with what she was about to say, "I was trying to see what was in the sky that was of interest," She replied, "Everyone seems to say or do things I do not always understand, they act in inefficient ways or say things I would normally deem pointless. I am accustomed to an efficiently constant schedule-" She further explained, looked up at the sky again, "-not looking up at nothing and wasting time." She added, her eyes shifting to the passing clouds momentarily but she saw nothing, "At a time like this I would be examining combat data for the units in my squadron, calculating my attack patterns based on the patterns I ascertain in the historical data, however I cannot even do that without permission now. I am purposeless."

An undesirable spare was what she was thinking, but the words didn't seem to form in her mouth as she slowly straightened herself out, saluting in Yamato's direction,
"I will leave you to.. Whatever this practice is, if it serves some purpose I do not understand; then I am currently hindering your progress," She stated calmly, preparing to turn on her heel and walk away, though part of her still wanted to know why he found the sky so fascinating. It was her human curiosity to want to know more.

He watched her seem to freeze for a moment. Part of this found it amusing that even she hesitated at times within his presence. She began speaking, and he suspected that must have been the most she had spoken or said about herself the entire time she had been here so far. He remained silent as he listened, looking at her calmly as she spoke up. He took in her words for a moment, before she turned to go. He found himself responding to her back, "there is more to life than calculations....data and schedules" he said. He was probrably one of the last people on the surface that should be speaking as this, but that did not stop him. "Life is not always handed to you as such...The strong find their own purpose...carve their own path" he slipped a pair of black sunglasses from his pocket. He stepped over to her, as he slid them on.

He stood beside her for a moment, though he did not look at her. "Humans are simple...far from perfection, but they hold a potential to surpass expectations" he passed her fully now, walking along himself. He headed parallel to the base, walking along a path shaded by trees. He had not told her to follow, but he had not told her to leave him alone either. What she took of the actions was her own, if she would be scared away as most others that was fine. It was kind of amusing as well to be told he was wasting time. Having her say he was wasting time for looking at the sky a few moments. He had really been in thought, the sky merely there at the time to look at as his thoughts wandered. He slipped out a pocket watch from his pocket. It was victorian in style, beautifully hand crafted out of gold and metals.

It had been his father's, made by his great grand father years ago and passed down in the family for generation. Flipping it open, the inside was as beautiful as the outside. It was well made, and working well still after all these years. It brought back many memories, his father had always had it with him. It was one of the things that went along with the name of the Yamato family. He checked the time on it, he had the evening free. He pondered for a moment, before he stopped along the path. He stood there for a moment, a thought passing over in his mind.

There is more to life than calculations, data and schedules.

She looked aside to him quietly, if he looked at her properly, especially at the left eye, its unique nature could almost have been made clear. Although it was disguised, the focusing of her iris was still almost perfect, the twelve overlapping layers of the interior lens expanding a little the closer he got to the shade she stood in, the surface also gleamed just a little more and micro LED's inside the cornea lit up, giving the darkness of her pupil a soft glow, at least until the data faded, she was accidentally sizing him up, trying to get an idea of the way he moved and talked, the way he was acting seemed different to when she saw him momentarily relaxing.

But his words stuck to her and she turned to watch him as he started to walk away, however she couldn't let him go that easily, the things he said simply didn't work with her. The strong find their own purpose? Carve your own path? She walked after him, unaware of the look of defiance that crossed her face, he was ahead of her by only a slight way, she paused only briefly as he checked a timepiece, but the value and appearance of it were lost to her. She walked again and stood in his way, staring at him,
"All I know are calculations, data and schedules. I listen to people talk about how there is more to life like it is simple to understand." She replied her brow knitting "What is strong? What is carving my own path?"

It was a bad habit of the doctor too to talk in such ways that sounded cryptic to her, he tried speaking to her like a normal human being often but simpler concepts that most humans grew up with were lost to her,
"Am I meant to be strong?" She asked, seeming to back away just slightly, her face even easing off the defiant expression, "How do I get strong?" Her face shifted again, it was frustration, pure and simple, no different to when she was in her unit on the test field. Her fingers on her hand twitched so she forcibly closed her hands into fists, the slightest sounds could be heard of the cybernetics inside them straining slightly, though they obviously couldn't be broken that easily,
"I do not understand."

The female followed him, and he could not help but chuckle internally. His eyes moving to her from behind the black shades. As she spoke, he stayed calmly where he was. He let her get it out in the open, sliding the watch back into his pocket. Once she was finished, he let silence fall between them once more. For a moment he thought through his words, before responding. "People can spend their lives trying to explain it to you" he says, "but the only person who can truly answer that question for you...is you." That was simple as it could be said. No one could hold her hand forever. They could talk and talk, telling her everything...but she would never understand it, till she found her own way. When she did, then it would become clear.

Which essentially was the point of carving one's path. He looked at her, letting silence fall between them once more. He had a dinner meeting tonight, one where the shareholders would be at. He looked at her, "dinner...tonight, Makoto will help you prepare" with that he passed her, allowing her to process the information. He headed back inside of the base, alerting Makoto to his plan. She was a bit surprised at his choice, but at the same time she smiled as she hung up the phone. It was quite interesting for him to be so bold and allow someone closer to him like that. Makoto went to pick up some needed materials, before she went to find Ambrosia to help as instructed.

Ambrosia stared at him as he spoke again. But the answer left a certain level of despair inside her. It wasn't something she could quantify correctly though, it simply left her with that same feeling of frustration, but he hadn't tried to explain it at least. He was inadvertently admitting that it wasn't simple, it was as complex as it had always felt to her, at least when it came to her perspective, an outsider looking in. There was a certain sense of surprise in her when he spoke again, not that she showed it, other than looking at him in curiosity.

Dinner tonight? Makoto would help her prepare? Prepare for dinner? She assumed it was an invite to dinner with him, but how could one prepare for dinner itself? She was perplexed again, so much so that she almost didn't realize he was leaving but she then saluted in his direction silently, it was the only action she could familiarize with a positive response on such short notice, even though he was already walking away, but she found herself lowering her arm much more slowly and staring at her palm, her fingers shifting and twitching softly.
That had happened so quickly, she barely even knew what to think. Her attention turned back towards the garden area first, but then once more to the sky as another cloud rolled by. The shape of it seemed strangely.. Familiar to her, but nothing came to mind. She watched it slowly roll by, trying to understand why the shape seemed familiar until it was long gone form her sight and she found herself looking int he direction of incoming footsteps.

"Hey, you hear?" One of the base security force chuckled to oen of his friends in the lunch room, "That blondie, you know, the ice queen that was at the barracks? She showed up the Talos guys," He went out sharing the slightly outlandish story.
Jerry pulled a face from his seat,
"Oh man.. That is lame.. They have to be real bored at this base to spread that so damn face." The tan-skinned male grumbled a little, adjusting his eye-patch, "Can you believe that chick though? Talking like that to me?" He griped a little the smacked himself in the head, "Lame, lame, lame, I sucked..! I shoulda seen that stupid-ass mech up there long before it fired that freakin' weapon.." He ladled a little food into his mouth, staring at Trigger with a slight frown,
"Lemme guess, first thing you did was proposition her, right?"

Makoto walked up to where Ambrosia stood, looking at the female for a moment. With a slight smile, she moved on to buisiness. "I have the materials, but it will be your choice what to choose" she led her back to the rooms, before showing her a series of dresses. There were various colors and styles, as well as shoes and makeup to go with it. Many would not have thought of Makoto as the fashion type, but she was still a beautiful lady aside from her intellegence and strength. She had an eye for things. Trigger looked at the officer as he spoke. Jerry then speaking up as well seeming frustrated. He laughed a bit, "the great you....getting all worked up over a girl." He found it amusing, nudging him a bit, "perhaps it is no longer the mechs and enemies you have to watch out for."

It was just fun, and trying to lighten the mood with his friend. He did not like seeing him upset or down on himself like that. Destro, who had been there as well had become still. A shadow over his face a bit, he stood and approached the man talking. Easily towering over most of the men, he looked down at the other. Even with only one eye, the look could have easily made anyone stop in their tracks. "Now listen here bub" he said, "unless yer want to get yer ass in one of those units yerslef and back up them words, I suggest you shut that yap before it gets ya in trouble." When the tabe of men fell instantly quiet he nodded, "exactly." He turned away from them. In the end, Talos was still on top, it took a lot of skill and power to efficiently manuver and pilot the units in the way the squadron did in battle.

Most of security and the other pilots could barley handle a Mark 1 unit. The team had countlessly proven themselves many times and handled other situations that could give anyone nightmares. Destro did not appriciate people popping off their mouths about situations and such they did not understand, especially when it came to his team. He sat at the table, blowing out a bit of smoke from his cigar. He wasnt meant to smoke in the base, but few had the balls to try and tell him no. It was his thing, many had simply come to accept it as long as he got the job done. Trigger laughed, "papa bear strikes again! Fear his claws!" He smiled at Jerry, "one mistake, so what." He took a drink of his water, "next time, give em hell a hundred times over...."
