It was on that day, she felt the sea,

Of all the things she could not be.

the smooth shift of waves against her skin,

The way it reminded her of him.



In her heart she felt the lie,

She knew that she, would slowly die.

Without him and his loving heart,

It was the sea that tore her apart..



And on that day her world stopped,

For she cannot turn back the clock.

The sea he loved took him away,

She stopped living that same day.



In her heart she felt sure,

All this pain she can’t endure.

And her lost love, of purest hearts,

Was gone forever in the dark.


She flung her life into the sea,

And all the things she couldn't be.

For in the end that’s all she’ll be,

Just like him within the sea.

Try could not instead of cannot(past-tens vs pre-tens) I loved it tho! It flowed great, and it was a beautiful poem, it told a story of love in an intricate way
