You would definitely get a good response to that, Callie predicted. Steve, Thor, and Clint are all food-inclined. Tony is half and half, Nat is more alcohol fueled, and Bruce is very careful with a lot of things. Including his tea. Don't touch the good doc's tea stash unless given permission.

Good to know, and I have my own, which is a good thing. Valerie considered the information. Maybe I'll cook one of these days and ingratiate myself to them all. I doubt anyone can turn down comfort food.

Pretty much no one can, Callie agreed. That'll work, food is a good way to go with them. Although going with Coulson helps a lot too. Any tips for me, with this lot? I already know Eggsy and Roxy likes me well enough. Just leaves Harry and Merlin.

Merlin already likes you, I think, Valerie replied. And there's not a whole lot I can give you to help you with Harry. He'll warm up to you at some point.

Great. Thanks. Callie huffed a bit, shaking her head. Don't let Tony get to you too much, he's always abrasive to new people. It's his way of weeding out the overly sensitive.

Then it's a good thing I'm not prone to crying. Valerie grinned a bit. I might have promised Clint special seasonal flavor marshmallows for good behavior.

Marshmallows are a good way to go with him, he likes the special flavors and the shapes, Callie agreed. Just don't be surprised when he starts shooting them at you. It's a sign of affection, kind of like a weird cat.

Valerie laughed at that.

"Callie says you're a weird cat," she called to the empty-looking room. She figured there was an even chance Clint was hanging around the vents or something.

Does he make mini marshmallow animals and leave them on people's desks too? she asked her sister.

Not that I've seen yet. Mostly he shoots them at people. Or eats them as noisily as possible, when he wants to be obnoxious.

"I knew I was her favorite!" came a muffled crow of delight from somewhere in the vents.

Valerie laughed at the response from Clint, even as she tapped out one to Callie.

He's basking in the fact that he's apparently your favorite.

Callie snorted. Yeah, yeah. Tell him to stop gloating and go finish the paperwork and turn it in to Coulson. I need tea, so I'm going in search of some.

Common room, mahogany side cabinet, left side. Because of course Valerie knew exactly where the tea was that everyone was allowed to have.

"Callie says finish your paperwork and turn it in to Agent Coulson," she added aloud to Clint.

Bless you. Update me later on the Avengers sitch, just in case. Callie grinned and went to go find some tea, and possibly some company after going through all that reading.

There was only a muffled curse in response to that, and then silence from the vent.

As long as you update me on the Round Table in return. Valerie stretched, finished her coffee, and then went back to finish reading the Avengers file.

Will do. Callie tucked her phone away again and went to go make some tea. She even took some down to Merlin, partially because she was bored, and partially because his lair was even better than Tony's workshop because it was less likely to kill her.

Once Valerie finally finished going through the file, she went back to Coulson's office to check in with him.

Merlin glanced at Callie when she came into his lair, but didn't comment when she set herself up in an out-of-the-way spot.

Coulson glanced at her when she came in and smiled faintly. "Finished with that already?"

Callie did set a mug of tea down for Merlin where it wouldn't be in his way, and then settled herself off out of the way, just watching with more than a little fascination.

"For the most part," Valerie replied. "Any more and my brain is probably going to explode."

Merlin didn't take his eyes off the screens, just reached over and took the mug. He took a sip and blinked, a bit surprised, and then glanced at Callie.

Coulson snorted quietly. "They do tend to have that effect on people," he agreed wryly.

Callie caught his glance and grinned a bit before going back to investigating things.

"So what am I going to be doing now, sir?" Valerie asked, absently straightening one of the cuffs of her jacket. She was wearing a brown suit that had a subtle teal and copper plaid that shimmered in the right light.

After a few moments of quiet back-and-forth with some of the agents on assignment, Merlin switched a couple of the screens back over to the usual monitoring stations.

"So, lass, have ye had a chance to look over the information I gave ye?" he asked.

"Tomorrow we'll go introduce you to the team," Coulson told her. "We'll see from there what exactly you'll be doing and what you're best suited to." He smiled a bit. "I'm afraid there's not going to be much if a routine."

"I have," Callie agreed, focusing on him again.

"Well, that should be interesting, if nothing else," Valerie said. "The Round Table sometimes isn't big on routine either, although they do try."

"Excellent," Merlin said. "Well, I'll not be tossing ye straight to the lions yet. First, ye have an appointment up in the storefront. Time ye got your first suit."

Coulson nodded. "On quiet days there is a kind of routine, but when things come up..." He shrugged.

Callie grinned. "Oh this'll be good," she murmured. "When am I expected?"

"Sounds about right," Valerie said, nodding.

"After tea," Merlin replied. "No need to rush off right now."

Coulson nodded. "We'll have to see how things go," he murmured. "And go over some protocols, of course."

Callie nodded and relaxed back in her seat again. "Val always told me that tea time was a real thing here. Half the time I thought she was teasing."
