Herbs and seasonings I can understand. Hubby doesn't like buying them there as he says you get what you pay for with spices, but I could understand picking that up. It's the frozen/refridgerated goods and a lot of the other boxed stuff like cookies, etc...No thanks.

It's probably true but if you can't afford the good stuff you gotta make do (or is it due?).

I think it would be do...? It just looks right to me.
Yeah and sometimes you gotta cut corners, so it's cool. I still don't second eating processed foods. I'm not rolling in money and I've found that buying fresh fruit and vegetables isn't that costly, and they're much better for you. I wish I could go totally organic, but with that you really can spend a fortune on.
I think my skin is slowly starting to clear up too now that I cut a lot of carbs and sugar out of my diet, too. I don't think it's going to make the rosacea go away though. :( I think I'm stuck with that..

I would love to go organic everything and shop at Whole Foods but that's way out of my budget. V_V I still dream of being able to do that one day though...

Yeah I'm trying to cut corners where I can, and when I can get organic products for a fair price I do pick them up. I'm super excited that Meijer's has started to do their own organic line and we've tried a fair amount through that. In fact the soy milk we get is part of their organic line. :)

I haven't heard of Meijer's... From time to time I stop in at Whole Foods and get a few things but no more than once every few months. I had a superbowl party a few weeks back and got a bunch of healthy snack food from there. I made some kale chips too which were super easy to make and so yummy. ^_^

Most of the stores around here have a pretty good organic selections but that's because places like Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are kind of far away.

Ah yeah. We don't have a lot of organic selection in the supermarkets here because there are a lot of specialty organic stores around.

Yeah, we have some local farms and stuff but not a super local organic food market. There are independent stores here and there but they are either a bit too far or limited selection.
Speaking of better for you, has anyone tried 5 free nail polish formulas?

Yeah, not too many farms around here in the big city. ^^;
I've never heard of that brand...

I live in the suburbs and while we are quite developed, we still have a lot of farmers markets and such.
It's not a particular brand, per say. If you look at some of your polish bottles, it may say something like 3-Free. Means it doesn't have certain types of chemicals in them.

Oh, I haven't looked at my bottles that closely I guess. I have a bottle of Zoya which I think it supposed to be free of formaldehydes and that but other than that I don't know.

I just tried that Zoya polish yesterday and I really like their forumla! It goes on nice and smooth. Now if it can get through the week without too much chipping I might just be sold on their brand.

Zoya is usually pretty good. I have 2-3 of their polishes and they are nice. But I also abuse the crap out of my nails. So I haven't found a method of keeping the polish on for long without chips. xD

OMG, that's awesome Poet! I'm not sure I would have the patience to do it on myself but it would be fun to paint on someone else's nails!

Basically my way of saying I don't really know if it would be considered that category. xD But I already took off the polish.

So what have you folks heard about Revlon's "Parfumerie" scented nail polish? I saw it at the store today and had to do a double take.
Apparently, once the polish dries, it gives off a light scent. Each color contains a different sort of perfume, so you can paint your nails according to what looks and smells best to you.
But somehow, the idea of smelling my polish all day long just doesn't appeal to me. I can't really imagine that any of this would smell good. I'd probably get annoyed after a while.

I'm intrigued about it having a scent once it was dry. I did have some pale pink polish that was meant to smell like strawberry ice cream or milkshake or something, and it did smell vaguely pink, as well as smelling of varnish! But it didn't smell of anything once it was dry.
The only polish I've got that smells once it's dry is this stuff.
Which smells like curry
And while it does give awesome shine, it chips fast, so wasn't a good investment. :(

The reviews are really mixed - Half seem to get sick off the smell and find it nauseating/artificial, while half seem to think that it's the best kind of perfume ever made.
I'm sure that it all depends on which scent you choose, though. Something like cotton candy would be weird on your hands, while fresh linen or rose can at least potentially be pleasant. If my hands always smell like soap, that wouldn't be too bad.
