--Untitled--
In my mind there is a buzzing,
A buzzing which isn't numbing.
Creation and beginning lies within my reach
If only I had learned to teach

Designing colors,
Arranging theory,
Finger painting for the sake of a grade,
This is most certainly beginning to seem unmade.

This isn't for critique,
Only feelin's in a jumble,
Cause I ain't so big time city girl,
Nor am I a little country gal,
Stuck inbetween- how obscene.

My world may be a stressful,
But there's certainly things within it which are restful,
I hate doing rhyming poetry,
Because I always pick hard words to say.

Great, carpe diem- seize the day?
Can't.
This Joy's been beaten to a pulp this time.
You wanna know how many times I've tried?

The count is at 48.
Resumes, cover letters, portfolio reviews.
So many jobs...slipped away,
Because I lack the years under my belt.

Why doesn't anyone keep their end of the bargain?
What's with all this technical jargon?
DPI, LPI, PPI,
First printing press created by who?
Why didn't they give us more information we could use?

Right so okay.
I might be done for today.
This was less of a poem, and more of a stress relief,
Maybe I should take a break from hours upon hours of job searching...

Nah...might miss out on the job of my dreams.
After all- I'll have to move anyways
And finally get away from this world
And start working on my own!

Screaming as I fall,
No one listens to the call,
Eyes long distracted,
I wish now to end your laughin'.

Laughing as my wings shatter and break,
Your head I've impaled upon bloody stake,
Now can you hear me cry,
"It is your turn to die!"

Mortal now my heart breaks,
My master now fails to wake,
Tears streaming from my eyes,
Present now is my loss of time.

Chain bound wrists and broken hand,
In your name I took the stand,
Crying your name 'til it filled the sky,
Yet you never appear- not even to lie.

Hear my cry O Mortals few!
My broken soul goes out to you!
Sing, not cry of my defeat-
Lest I cast you down with one swift beat!

Cherish now all you have,
One day we will not share our land,
Your debt to us remains unpaid,
For we collect another day.

--Bubblegum Butterflies--
Listening, Whispering,
Solace be my name
Whispering, Snickering,
Protect me from their bane.

Poison seeps past stoney halls
Tears well from long dried eyes
Danger wails within the walls
Lips pass only voiceless lies

Dancing, Sleeping,
Wishing only to carry on,
Sleeping, Weeping,
Yet still you are still long gone

Eyes of ruby tainted anger watch on
Muted laughter echo like a song
Movement carries tired legs off
Gasping sorrow after so long

--Blade
In Honor of a True Swordsman--

Here is the sword I wield,
This is the shield I bear,
There lies my loyal companion,
Then I am crushed by a sudden torrent.

Crushed by rubble,
Broken by stone,
Thieving hands take what I once owned,
Hushed lips laugh at what was foolishly chose.

At first loyalty stayed,
At hungers peak he ran away,
My heart broken- I gave a scream,
That, I believe, is how you found me.

With mud slicked hair,
And torn wrist bands,
Belled arms surround me,
I become again a human man.

Now you are my loyal friend,
My healer and my soul,
I long to dance,
For it is you I will hold.

--Bigger Half
In Honor of a Suicide Fiction Queen--

I feel like I'm dying,
Lying here crying
Misery consumes ever crimson thread,
Midnight blue stains the razors edge.

Being compressed inside this shell,
Blood soaked sage the only smell,
Laughter flickers behind blackened eyes,
You are dead and here you lie.

So long ago you spoke of instant righteous justice,
Not a soul told you 'You musn't',
Now a child and man dig your grave,
You lie the the steel coffin we've made.

Simplistic sorrow, delicious misery,
Consume someone, consume me,
Here's my heart- enjoy the scream,
Take my tapestry from wooden beam.

Spirit withered,
Crows eating my gizzard,
My rule long finished,
If only your smile came with it.

Hold my hand for now I die,
No easy way to say goodbye,
Just as the sunsets- the day is done,
So is my memory- now gripping the gun.

--Final Fantasy Addiction
In Honor of a Final Fantasy Addict--

Auron nibbles at the nachos grande as I slay another dragon,
Rinoa and Raijin are fooling around in the guest bathroom,
Zidane and Fujin are fighting over the popcorn bowl,
Zell, Highwind, and Squall swear at one another as they play 'Sorry',
Amarant pulls out 'Scrabble' and Eiko descides to play.

Tidus gooses Yuna and she drops her her soda on Steiner's Sleeping head,
Beatrix kick Yuffie off the blue chair- only to hear her whine,
Sephiroth smiles and steals a smooch from Rikku- Much to Barret's dismay,
Freya shakes a soda and hides it in the den,
Kimahri sighs and I gain another level on my game.

Vivi orders a pizza and Wakka offers to pay,
Lulu criticizes the disarray,
Seymour smiles softly as he and Seifer leave to go clubbing,
"Wait up!" Cait Syth says grabbing a tie,
For some odd reason Tifa begins to cry.

Vincent hums a tune as he reads my diary on the couch,
Aeris giggles and asks Quina not to shout,
Quistis left four hours ago,
Sin's in th potty and Red XIII's gotta' go.

Boy- what a night!
HEY!
WHO ATE ALL THE NACHOS GRANDE?!
I cry into a paper towel- and then I blow my nose.

Parts one two and three of the In Honor of Trilogy are random poems made for friends who've moved on in life.

I appreciate constructive criticism... thanks!

I watch as the autumn leaves dance by,
my mind wanders as tears spill from the sky,
I think of the ember haired boy,
who was lost to the sky.
Flurries of seasons dance by,
as if his life was nothing more than a lie,
As if he had never died,
that ember haired boy who laughed when he cried.
As winter rolls in and the snowflakes twirl,
I wonder if someone else remember,
The time he stole the truck and went for a whirl,
I smile as I remember that ice cold December.
He loved spring and the river,
even though he would spin there, stop, and shiver,
"The water's fine! Come join in!"
something he always yelled,
To his other friends and I.
Now as I stand here drenched,
I heart begins twist and stretch,
like a dancer,
Who's practiced so long,
that her heart began to throb.

There's so much to remember and so little time,
to truely remember that ember haired boy,
Who laughed when he cried.
