thank you!! i never tried these before bc i didn't like the preview image and thought it only had one pose and 400 some-odd goldies is a lot to spend for one umbrella! i was kinda goin for a Klaus from The Umbrella Academy vibe, but more something i think he would wear than something he actually has worn in canon.

it started out as a comic by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, and is now a Netflix Original. it's about a bunch of kids who were all born on the same day to mothers who were not pregnant until that very instant. a wealthy man named Dr. Hargreeves was able to track down 7 of them, and raised them in an academy setting, where he taught each of them how to harness their superpowers they were each born with, except for 00.07 - Vanya Hargreeves, who doesn't appear to have any powers, besides being skilled at the violin, although her low self-confidence even gets in the way of that. she stays home while the other 6 children go out and fight monsters and supervillains, and the media is obsessed with them. but the comic and show mostly focus on them as adults, after a harrowing incident happened that brought them together again after years apart.

i haven't finished the comics, but i did finish The Apocalypse Suite which i think is mainly what this season was based on? they're VERY different. like very, very different lol. but the main plot points i think stay the same? i'm not done with the show either. also, be prepared for some gore if you do read the comics; Blackhorse lets you be a lot more graphic than Netflix (at least from what i've seen so far). did you know Gerard Way wrote them? and he has a couple songs in the show too, i think just covers, not MCR songs, but still! it's p cool.

DEFINITELY DO IT!!!! it's such a good show. it's really refreshing, it's not like any show i've ever seen and the characters are so diverse and dynamic, i love them all. actually... it is a little bit like one show, it kinda reminds me of Sense8.

oh i didn't know the name of the comic that the show was based off, so that's helpful should i want to read it, and i do recall darkhorse as being a bit more adult. and i didn't know about the music, that's pretty neat!

I've been wanting to watch that show.

you should, i recommend it! be prepared tho, it does get pretty heavy. there's a lot of childhood emotional trauma/neglect stuff involved. and a lot of fight scenes. i haven't rlly seen any gore in the show, but in the comic there's a fair amount. enough that one page made me nauseous hahah.

i love the gold/silver hair stuff! i've been meaning to use it ever since i got it, but it can be hard to make work. you really nailed it, Antsy!
