Name

Kathy Waters

Nickname

Kat

Age

25

Occupation

Blogger/Foodie

Appearance

Kat is a natural beauty. Her two-tone brown/blonde hair is naturally wavy, giving her the perfect tousled look without any extra effort on her part. Her makeup depends on her mood ranging from to natural to sultry but it always plays up her grey/blue eyes. Unlike Vivi however she isn’t afraid to go out without her face being perfectly done up or her outfit perfectly coordinated for that matter. Kat likes to wear whatever she feels comfortable in, whether it be a pair of cotton shorts and a baggy tee or a skimpy mini dress and three inch heels. Kat stands 5’6” tall and her silhouette is straight and thin.

Personality

Kat is outspoken and unafraid to say what's on her mind. She isn't afraid of what others think of her and does whatever makes her happy. She always puts her friends first and foremost however and loves to do little things to show them how special they are to her. Kat holds a soft spot for children and often goes out of her way to speak with them. She also loves to party when the urge strikes her but on the flip side also enjoys evenings at home with the telly. Kat doesn't hold her emotions back, she likes to express them as she feels them rather than let things build up inside.

Biography

During their middle school years, Kat and Vivi were inseparable. Kat was an only child and Vivi took the place of the sister that she had always wanted. After entering high school, Kat became rebellious, frustrated with her parents and their controlling ways. No matter how much trouble she got herself into however, Kat knew that Vivi would always be on her side. Her grades suffered miserably during her last few years of school and any dreams that Kat had for medical school slipped away. If it wasn't for Vivi, Kat would have quit school but her friend managed to convince her to stick it out.

Shortly after graduation, Kat found out that she was pregnant and married her high school sweetheart Trevor at the insistence of her proper Christian parents. About halfway through her pregnancy however she was rushed to the hospital where she prematurely gave birth to a stillborn child. Completely torn from her dreams of motherhood, Kat spiraled into a dark period of depression. With her husband unable to deal with her, Vivi was Kat's only source of comfort and they spoke on the phone on a near daily basis.

Eventually Kat took some cooking classes at her mother's suggestion and found an anchor in the daily activities of shopping and preparing for meals. As some semblance of normality returned to her life, Kat started a cooking blog which gathered quite a following. Eventually she began making money off of it and it looked like things were starting to look up in her life, except with her husband. After the miscarriage, a huge rift developed between Kat and Trevor. They hardly talk anymore except to argue and their arguments have become more frequent during the past few months.

Name: Lavella Sanders
Nicknames: Vivi (only by her best friend Kat though, no one else is allowed to call her that)
Age: 25 years old
Gender: Female
Occupation: Hairdresser

Likes: • Fashion • Styling someone's hair, especially Kat's • Frilly, cute and showy things • Jazz music • Guitars • Drums • Piano, keyboard • Make-up • Cheesy Movies/TV Shows, especially when watching it together with Kat • Telling stories • Singing • Travelling • Watching sport matches • Repeating commercial phrases to tease Kat and to make fun of them •

Dislikes: • Coffee, too bitter • Smell of cigarettes, it stinks • Horror • Ghost stories • Scary stuff in general • Metall music direction • Being ordered to do something without giving a logic reason as of why • Loud children • Rainy days • Betrayal • British humour • Violence • Cheating in sport matches, unfair play • Drunk irresponsible idiots • Dolls •

Weaknesses/ Fears: Horror, anything scary and can't hold her liquor at all. She dislikes dolls because she had seen a move with a doll going crazy killing people before. Those pictures just can't seem to be erased from her mind. Plus, unlike Kat, she can't really deal with children. She lacks the fun for such jobs, honestly. Being the way she is, she won't ever leave the house without make-up on, she just can't. Without make-up, she feels naked and lacks confidence. Her worst weakness is probably when some one is begging her for something, sometimes she's just unable to say no. Those begging, puppy eyes, you know?

Appearance details: Actually, she's far from ugly despite her huge detest. She stands 5'8 and weights average with an almost hourglass shaped body. Her almost white hair with still a hint of blonde is although thin, very soft and silky. In fact, they aren't hard to manage at all, they never seem to be disheveled, always beautifully straight, falling down her shoulder almost like it is hovering magically. Despite how less the colour of her hair might be, a very light blonde simply, it's her natural hair colour, she was born with it. Not really something Vivi was proud of actually. The most striking about Vivi are probably the freckles on her fair skinned face which most are gathered on both of her cheeks. And toned by her oval face are her big green coloured orbs with her thick eyebrows, but also her thick lips that without make-up look rather pale. Yet her natural beauty will always be concealed behind make-up with the mentioned reason. Usually, you'll see her wearing rather unusual clothes, that are if not a size too big it's a bit too showy. Not 'showy' in sense much revealing skin but similar to something you wear in a costume ball/ party perhaps. She just likes to wear different kinds of clothes than everyone else and has a unique taste which just gathers attention.

Development through the years: Vivi was in her childhood always the good, patient and obedient little girl. She was, after all, the only girl in a family of three and she was the oldest. It came like a duty that she had to be responsible for her little brothers but also do the household chores when her father has gone to work. So such routine continued every day, every year, which didn't leave her any time for herself. That is, until middle school. With her brothers already aware of their own duties and task, she could finally enjoy school life like everybody else. However, it turned out to be way too late. All the other middle school freshman already seem to have formed their own group, own gang. It was difficult for her to socialize as at that point of time, she wasn't confident enough. Then the bullying started.

It happened just like that. One stupid boy, the 25-years old Vivi now strongly accused him for liking her that time, said that her hair and freckles are unnatural and weird, then everything came like a chain reaction. Not having one single friend was tough for her, no one stood up for her, no one stopped the bullying; until Kat came. Kat was the one turning her life to be lot better, boosting her confidence to the max. She was Vivi's angel, Vivi's first and forever best friend. At first one might think that Vivi was still hiding behind Kat's strong and outspoken persona, however soon Vivi formed her own self. She became more confident also perhaps because of the make-up Kat had taught her, and slowly she learnt how to speak up. Building such confidence, she got rid of her past timid self and presented herself as passionate, likeable and surprisingly witty character. Vivi started seeing Kat as the sister she desired, and he noted that Kat did too. They were unseperable, doing everything together and shared all their secrets with each other. It was always notable that Vivi was very protective of Kat as if she was her family. Yes, Vivi and Kat had a sweet time at middle school which was unforgettable.

At highschool, they were also together, hand in hand they went through all the stress and expectations heavily placed upon them by their parents. However, it was also in high school where both of them searched and strived for both their dreams. While Kat wanted to go to a medical school, Vivi wanted to dive into the music world that formed her passion. In fact, she was already in a band. Where before she was rather uneasy talking to people without Kat's presence, the boost of confidence Kat and make-up gave her was enough, to open up a little to others, despite not completely. She was still considered to be rather secretive and distant to anyone other than Kat, but at least now one can talk to her normally without being glared at. However, back at high school, her naive view of the world was still there, and reality made her realise how hard the world actually was. They failed, despite trying countless of times, to get a contract from any agency. Being eaten by all frustrations and disappointments, the members dispersed so eventually it came to the end of the band. It was a hard time for Vivi who even after that still tried to persue everyone again, perhaps another try and... her obstinacy ended with the lead guitarist sharp outburst which hurted Vivi so that she gave up. It was the first guy she ever had feelings for but never dared to tell. It was natural that she was hurt by his words. However, she soon recovered herself, staying day and night in contact with Kat after she was caught in depression, not being able to go to medical school as she desired. Vivi forgot all of her sadness because of Kat because unlike her, Vivi still had other dreams to persue. With her optimism and ideas to cheer her up she managed to keep Kat at school, persuade her to stay for graduation. Her meeting with Trevor (that Vivi arranged behind her back) made her stay final.

Even after highschool, Vivi and Kat never lost contact. Vivi was there as she married and was so very happy seeing her happiness. No traces of jealousy was there, only sincere happiness seeing Kat smile. She even cried back then, despite her being known as tough and rather tomoyish attitude. But she stood strong and loyal as Kat was thrown into depression because of her baby, knowing how strongly her desire for a child was seeing her love for them. Soon, the confession she did in the graduation day to the lead guitarist finally turned out to be positive. Despite the wait for three whole month, she didn't mind at all. Her love for him was sincere and therefore the wedding was also around the corner. It was as if it was meant to be; so she thought. Now she knew, she was blind of love.

Her husband, the lead guitarist, never treated her well. The verbal fights were growing in numbers, almost countless times the anger was so great Vivi escaped to Kat's house, searching for comfort. Only one week after the wedding, believe it, one week. Her marriage not going like she wanted to, Vivi threw herself into work, finally finished her training as hairdresser. Now finally she could gain her own money. Somehow through her work, the fights grew less, but it was only because they rarely see each other. As she finally knew the reason after being married to him for four years, she was utterly defeated, at the end of her strength. Remembering back the time she caught him cheating in their house was painful, Vivi now had to admit it was pathetic from the very start.

She was thrown out of the house, just like that. Her outburst was huge. Actually she was someone who is able to control her temper, but in such situation, who wouldn't be angry and sad at the same time? She was so angry she remembered breaking the windows and throwing away the ring on her finger. She was so furious beyond words that after she controlled herself she ran away, far far away from where the jerk was and called the only one she could trust in the world; Kat.

It was suppose to be their chance to reconcile. Yes, it was their wedding anniversary, it just had to work! She knew through her husband's work partner when he will return home therefore she excused herself early from work and went to the bakery where the cake she ordered beforehand on the phone was ready to take. Actually, it was Kat's suggestion. At first, Vivi wondered whether her marriage can somehow be rescued as she deemed it as impossible already, but it was Kat that came up with this idea. She smiled upon remembering the words of her best friend trying to give her the courage and confidence she needed. Vivi could only ever depend on Kat, never she shared any of her problems to her family. It was pleasant knowing that someone is there to back you up; meeting Kat was the best thing that ever happened to her.

Feeling rather calm through her thoughts of Kat, she took her time to breath in and out a couple of times. Now she stood in front of the door, trying to find back her courage. She took out her little mirror from her pocket and checked her face. Check. Then she slipped the mirror back and grabbed for the present. It's there, the neckties and CDs she bought for him. She sighed in relief. Everything was perfect. With carrying the cake on the right and the present with her bag on the other, she stepped to the door to her home. She placed down the cake and took out the key with trembling hands. Trembling through all the excitement, but also because she was frightened. Frightened of rejection, scared of him eventually forgetting what day today was. She hardly shook her head, trying to think optimistic. Come on Vivi, you can do it! Kat's voice suddenly spoke to her and she nodded determined. "Here we go!" She said and finally opened the door.

The lights were off and Vivi could hear nothing. Vivi frowned. Did she got the time wrong? Impossible... she sure did double check, she couldn't have been wrong! Nevertheless she picked up the cake and slowly closed the door, tip-toed to the kitchen. There she placed the cake and present on the table and went for their bedroom. She pressed her ears against the wooden door and heard the faint sound of the shower. Soon, the sound of the water pattering down was gone and steps were heard. He must have just finished his shower, Vivi thought and smiled. At that same second she opened the door and attempted to hug her husband as she wasn't confronting her husband. No... it was a woman. A beautiful brown haired and big breasted woman who was wet all over and wore her bathing suit. Her eyes widened in surprise, shocked. For a long second she couldn't react.

"Vella... why are you--?" Then she heard his husband sitting on the bed, looking surprised and confused. But no, there was no hint of regret displayed on his face, only plain confusion and irritation. Her heart skipped fast beats, almost felt like it was going to kill her. "Tell me.. tell me it's not the truth..." It began with light stammering, but from word to word, her voice began to raise into the tone of anger. "Tell me it's not... damn!" She could feel her tears falling down her cheeks. She must have ruined her make-up but at that time, she couldn't care less. "Damn! How can you do this to me? HOW?!" She screamed almost, her tears kept streaming down her cheeks uncontrollably. "How? Tell me you pathetic bastard..." Her voice began to change, there was an undertone, a very deep dangerous undertone crawling to show itself.

She neared him, but what she saw was not what she hoped there was. It was an indifference of his that at first made him attractive to her. Now, she just detested him for it. "It is the right time to end this. It's hopeless already." There was nothing in his voice that showed her regret. So indifferent he blurted out such cruel words. With such indifference... she almost blanked out. So cold. So cold. "You know what? Just go to your "best friend" and get the hell out." She blinked dangerously as he pushed her away. "Get out? GET OUT? HAH? How could--" Vivi upon not being able to find her words threw a gaze of disappointment to him. She couldn't slap him, even for that, he wasn't worth it. That was the message of her gaze, but she knew he won't understand her. He never tried to understand her.

Then she chuckled, as if she just went insane. Chuckled to shake off everything while she wiped away her tears. "If you have any heart, send all my belongings to my family.... And another thing; happy fourth wedding anniversary." With that she stepped to the door, not deemed him worthy of any second of her time and saw the brown haired breast monster still standing there, not knowing what to do. Vivi only regarded her with a sharp gaze and went for the kitchen. There she destroyed the cake and took his present, went outside and threw it in trash. Afterward she threw the door shut with a loud bang. Furiously, not knowing what to do with her anger, she destroyed a window with a stone from the garden. Then for the last she pulled off her wedding ring and threw it far away.

"DAMN DAMN DAMN!" She swore. Her outburst didn't stay unnoticed. Soon neighbours lurking around, wondering what happened. At that second she ran. Ran and ran and just ran... to that supermarket in the lonely street. Luckily there weren't many in that hour. She leaned on the wall in front of the supermarket and took out her phone. She pressed Kat's number, the only one she could trust in the whole world. "Kat... Kat... please come..." Vivi sobbed as Kat took her call. "I can't... the surprise party... he... she..." She stuttered. "I-- am at the... supermarket near my house... please, I don't know what to do anymore..." With that, her batteries died and she slumped down on the cold ground. Exhausted and tired.

Still crying.

Kat smiled as she hung up the phone. Speaking with Vivi always brought a smile to her face and she regretted as she always did that they didn’t live closer. They had been making plans for Vivi’s anniversary. Vivi’s marital problems had been theme during their conversations the past few months and Kat was hoping that if Vivi made plans to make their evening super special, that maybe her and her husband could reconnect. She had suggested a cake (chocolate with lots of icing just in case) and presents (who could go wrong with some designer ties and a CDs of his favorite bands?). Once the plans were ironed out, Kat gave her friend a pep talk and ensured that Vivi knew just how freaking awesome she was, even if her husband was too thick to realize it. Satisfied that Vivi was ready for action, Kat ended the call.

She spent the next few hours doing chores and running errand. She got home just in time to start dinner and preparations were well underway when Trevor walked through the door. Without so much as a hello he closed the door behind him and tossed his briefcase on the couch. Hooking a finger in his tie he pulled it off and let it drop on top of his bag before toeing off his shoes and wandering into the kitchen to find his wife slaving away. ”What’s for dinner?” he asked as he headed for the fridge. ”Chianti-style beef rigatoni,” Kat replied cooly as her husband emerged from the fridge with a beer in hand. Trevor said nothing, downing a swig of alcohol before returning to the living room to watch TV.

Kat sighed. The Trevor she had fallen in love with would have been happy to come home, shower her with hugs and kisses, and insist on a quickie before dinner (or so it went in her teenage daydreams). Nowadays she was lucky if she even got a greeting. Instead of letting it get to her though, Kat put her energy into making their evening meal. If nothing else, she could show him how she still cared for him by making him delicious meals. ”Dinner’s ready!” Kat called from the kitchen and waited for the noise of the TV to turn off before serving up two helpings of her concoction. ”This is good,” Trevor said, digging into his plate. Kat asked him questions about his day and they made small talk until Kat’s phone unceremoniously rang.

Not expecting the loud noise, Kat jumped and pulled the device out of her pocket. Recognizing Vivi’s name on the caller ID, Kat threw down her napkin and practically dashed to the kitchen to answer it. ”Oh my God, Vivi…” she managed to choke out, ”I’m coming, I’ll be right there, just stay on the phone with me okay?…Vivi?” The line went dead and Kat threw the phone into her purse, grabbing it and her keys off of the counter and nearly ran into Trevor as he blocked the doorway. ”Where are you going?” he asked, the disapproval clear in his voice. ”I’m sorry Trevor, I’ve got to go, it’s Vivi…” she said as she slid past him to shove her feet into a pair of beat up converse, ”I’ll clean everything up when I get home.”

Kat drove down the interstate, music blaring to try to drown out the worries in her head. She had tried to call Vivi back but her calls went straight to voicemail. She was certain that Vivi wouldn’t do anything stupid but that didn’t stop her from worrying just the same. Kat pushed the speed limit as much as she dared until she finally reached Vivi’s exit. Turning the music off, she drove the last few miles in silence. Two and a half hours after Vivi’s initial phone call, Kat pulled into the supermarket parking log, scanning the blacktop for Vivi’s car. When she realized it wasn’t there, she began to panic until she caught sight of a small figure sitting with her back against the bricks of the side of the building.

Killing the engine, Kat ran towards her friend and dropped down on the gravel, ignoring the scratches to her knees as she engulfed Vivi in a hug. ”Vivi I’m so sorry,” she said, hugging her as tight as she could.

Vivi cried there quietly, not wanting anyone to notice. It was already embarassing enough for a grown-up woman like that to be sitting there, hugging her knees like a little child and burying her face so that no one is able to see her ruined make-up. Sure, she didn't check whether it's really ruined or not, but it didn't require much to know in which state her face was after all the tears. It was ridiculous. She didn't want to cry, it felt as if she was the only one miserable there, the only one who was sad and hurt. It angered her that the tears kept falling down, but she couldn't hold them in either. It was too painful; she couldn't help it.

She lifted her cell phone up and stared at the black display. One more time she sought her best friend's side, and one more time she'd trouble her. She felt bad to call her again while her marriage wasn't going well either. However she shook of those thoughts, knowing well that Kat would still help her in any situation and wouldn't like her even think about that she troubled her. Such thing, made her stop crying and faintly smile. However, she didn't find the strength to get back on her feet yet.

How much time had passed by now, Vivi wondered? From Kat's house to hers can reach until three hours time by car; Vivi therefore patiently waited still sitting on the same spot. Actually the time flew by fairly quickly with all her thoughts, her concerns, her questions everything, floating around in her head. She used the time to think about what happens next. Yes, what will happen to her? Divorce is not to be avoided; no, it's necessary! Then then... yeah, she'd get herself a good lawyer and take as much money as possible from him! Then just wait and see, he'll cry at the end of it, reflecting upon his actions! Then she had to think back to the woman he brought home-- Her eyebrows slightly twitched, irritated. She knew how he liked big breasted blonde woman, but she was sure that that woman didn't have much brain! What did he want from that kind? Such dumb big breasted monster! She was practically useless!

Getting angry upon nothing made her tired; her eyes felt heavy and everything gave her a headache. This absolutely tired all of her; stressed her to a critical point. Indeed, it was time to end everything. Reaching that, he heard a car entering the parking log. There wasn't many cars in such a late time, and the speed in which the car moved made it gather attention. Vivi looked up, seeing her best friend dashing towards her and embraced her, almost squeezed her too tightly. It didn't matter though; Vivi was glad she was there by her, only feeling her warmth made her feel better. "You don't have to be sorry for anything, Kat. It was hopeless since the very beginning. I am just glad that I finally decided to end it." Vivi said, thoroughly enjoying her hug and tried to be strong. Soon though, feeling her closeness, tears again started to fall. She really hated how weak she was, but she couldn't help it. "Although... although I didn't think he would... he would..." She started to stutter and sobbed at the same time. "... betray me... with that breastmonster..." She eventually finished with a slight irritating tone attempted to laugh but failed miserably.

Upon sharing that with Kat, suddenly her burden seemed to be lighter. She felt better telling everything to Kat and gently released the hug to see Kat's face. Then she squeezed Kat's face with both of her hands and gently neared her forehead with hers, gazing into Kat's eyes with a playful sparkle in her emerald green eyes. Her breath felt pleasant. Vivi smiled, tried to assure Kat she was feeling better. "Didn't I say you shouldn't drive too fast?" She said, slighly chuckling then gazed gratefully to her. "Thank you for coming."

Kat ignored the wetness on her shirt as Vivi’s tears soaked into her shoulder. Vivi had done the same so often for her over the years that it was simply natural. ”Shhh…” she said soothingly, rubbing Vivi’s back with her free hand. Despite her friend’s sorrow she couldn’t help but laugh at the term “breastmonster”. During the car ride she had tried to make sense of what exactly had happened. Vivi hadn’t been very specific but it was clear now that her husband had cheated on her.

Anger rose up inside of her. Vivi’s husband had always been the kind of guy who didn’t shy away from looking at other woman. He always said he was “just looking of course” and that he didn’t want to “deprive himself of life’s beauty” but it was clear now that it was all just a lie. He had never stared at Vivi the way he did those other women and as terrible as it was for Vivi to find out that he was cheating on her, it was for the best. She deserved someone who would see her beauty and cherish her like Kat did.

”Stupid men only think with their cocks,” she said at last with a sigh. She doubted the words really helped but Vivi seemed to quiet down and a moment pulled away from her. Kat smiled when she saw the sparkle come back to her friend’s eyes. ”Oh don’t you worry about me chickie,” she said playfully tugging at Vivi’s silky strands, "I missed you." Vivi's makeup was so smudged she'd likely have a heart attack when she saw herself in the mirror.

With a light sigh Kat sat back. "BRB," she announced, standing up and jogging back to her car. Opening the door, she pulled out her gigantic purse and brought it back over to where Vivi was seated. She rummaged around inside for a few moments before pulling out some makeup wipes. Gently she washed away the tears and runny mascara, foundation, blush, and the whole works. As much as Vivi hated to be seen without makeup, she wouldn't let her friend walk around looking like a wreck.

With Vivi's face clean, Kat set to prettying her up once again. She patted some concealer on a stress pimple that was forming and patted her face all over with a light powder. A bit of blush brought a rosy hue back to her face and red lipstick made her pouty lips look amazing. The mascara was a final touch and then Kat handed over the mirror, knowing that Vivi would want to check. "That's better," she said with a smile, "Though you know you're beautiful without it," she said as she had so many times before. Vivi had such a beautiful face and while makeup accentuated it, she had an inner beauty that always shown within her with or without her usual mask.

Her back felt pleasant, at least from where the warm touch of Kat's hands had rested. By her comment, Vivi couldn't help but laugh. She was so right; like always. Enjoying her best friend's playfulness, she started to giggle "I missed you, too." Rubbing away the last traces of tears, she uttered: "I must look really terrible right now, huh?" Vivi said and laughed it off. It was the first time she was glad to be surrounded by darkness. No one would see her like that; and if Kat saw, it's never a big deal. She accepted her like she was, and for that she was grateful beyond everything else.

She waited for Kat return, knew well why she went. As soon as Vivi was feeling a bit uncomfortable alone, Kat already arrived again and went to work on her face. Pleased with it, she stood still the whole time, letting Kat do the job which Vivi knew she'll do amazingly. Refreshed she gazed into the mirror for mere seconds, then glomped her best friend with relief in her heart. "Thank you, thank you, thank you! But you know how unconfident I can get without them..." Vivi said with a painful smile, knowing well that Kat was trying to give he more confident. "Anyways!" Vivi wanted to stand up, but failed miserably. It seems like her legs gone dead. "Whoops." Slumped back to the ground, she had to laugh. "Oh damn, everything seem to be not going well today..." Deeply inhaling the night's air, she tried again, but failed one more time. "Arrrgh... Seems like I need walking lessons..." After laughing awkwardly for awhile, she stopped and looked up to Kat. "I know I am gonna trouble you again... and I am sorry for being such a pain in the ass but, can I sleep over for the night?"

Of course she felt bad asking this. Kat also had a life on her own; it was not Vivi's right to take more of her hours, she already troubled her a lot in the past. Yet she sought for comfort, for an assuring warmth... for Kat's presence. Without her, Vivi didn't think to be able to go through the night without crying all the night. Plus his family's place was quite the distance from where she was. She felt bad for how spoiled she was, but she urged to be conforted; and that can only be done by Kat and Kat only.

Kat’s eyes widened in surprise as Vivi glomped her but then laughed lightly, glad that her friend’s enthusiasm was back. It seemed the makeup had helped bring back a bit of her usual spirit. The brunette moved out of the way as Vivi began to stand. Unfortunately the blonde didn’t make it very far before collapsing back against the wall. Kat laughed at her comment about the walking lessons then winced as Vivi failed once again to stand. She hated that painful tingly sensation after a limb had fallen asleep.

Vivi struggled yet again to stand and in the end Kat offered her a hand to help her up. ”Of course chikie,” she said, tucking a strand of hair back behind her ear. ”Are you hungry?” she asked, ”We can get something inside or stop at a drive through if you want…” She doubted that Vivi had eaten given everything that happened. If her friend decided to eat she would get something as well to be polite. Usually Kat did her best to eat healthy meals but she decided that she wouldn’t say no to a milkshake if Vivi decided on fast food.

Eventually, she took Kat's hand with a grin. "Thanks." She thanked her and stood up with her help. For one thing, she was relieved that she took her in, but there was still an uncertainty lingering, not wanting to trouble her friend. Geez, she's really being a pain in the ass these days. After standing properly and stomping with her feet to get the feeling back, she finally noticed upon Kat's question that she was indeed hungry. In the silence of the night, her stomache growled for attention. Vivi merely tapped on it to somehow tame it, but she let the cat out of the bag already, completely seen through. She giggled. The answer of her question was given.

"No, give me a minute. I'll get some bread." Having said that she went to the supermarket which luckily was still open in the late hour. She grabbed one chocolate bread and a bottle of water then attempted to go straight to the counter with it, but her eyes rested on a piece of cake right beside the bread. It was similar to that she bought today. Eventually she took it with her and paid at the counter. Not two minutes have passed and Vivi slightly ran from the supermarket and approached Kat. "I am good now." She said and showed her what she bought. Again, without taking a plastic bag with her. She hated plastic bags and always brought a fabric bag with her everytime she went shopping.

She slipped the little piece of cake and the bottle of water into her shoulder bag, opened the bread wrap and bit in. It didn't even last a minute and the bread was gone. "Haaah, I feel like newly born!" She commented relieved, took out the bottle and drunk like she was setting a speed record. With half of the bottle emptied, she put it back and surprised her friend with slapping her playfully on the back. It seemed like her tomboyish attitude has returned. With a naughty smile she said: "Don't sleep on me or we'll end up in a weird place." Vivi was, well, not really the brightest when it comes to memorizing streets and paths, even if it's to Kat's house where she went quite often, she still needed a navigator to tell her the way.

Kat was ready to follow Vivi into the grocery store but as her friend sped away she decided to let her go. They would be together in the car for the next three hours and perhaps Vivi would want a moment alone before they set off. Lugging her heavy purse back over to the car, she pulled out her phone and texted Trevor. ”Vivi’s husband kicked her out, I’m bringing her home with me.” It was getting late and he had work in the morning so she wasn’t even sure her husband would respond but she figured it’d be better to give him a bit of advance warning rather than just show up on their doorstep with an unexpected guest, even if it was Vivi. As far as Kat was concerned the guest room had always been for Kat. Sure her parents and some of Trevor’s friends had stayed in there from time to time but Kat had specifically decorated it with things that she knew Vivi would like so that her friend would feel at home whenever she came over to stay.

Kat was leaning against the outside of the car when Vivi came out a few minutes later to show her her plunder. Junk food and water… She would give Vivi a few days to adjust but eventually she would intervene if Vivi decided to drown her woes in chocolate. She wouldn’t let her best friend ruin her great body over some douchebag cheating Mc Cheater Face. Vivi wasted no time inhaling her chocolate bread and downing half of her water bottle before announcing that she felt better. Kat mimed being knocked over by the force of her friend’s slap on the back and giggled. ”I take it you're driving then?” Kat asked, holding out the keys to let her friend decide. She really didn’t mind either way. Some people were very possessive about their cars but Vivi was practically family so she would let her friend decide. Kat always found long drives always helped clear her head and clam her emotions.
