lol. It was already past midnight by the time my family started eating for New Years xD. It's odd how people take at least an hour to eat food when they're in a group O_o

It's true! It's almost as if you have to converse for an hour whilst your stomach rumbles before you can actually partake of any sustenance.

Yea..that's true. It would be awkward to eat in silence most of the time...xD

It would I concede to this statement, but also there is the being polite so you converse with everyone before you eat while everyone else at the table is busy stuffing themselves.
Edit: Oh bother....that doesn't sound as I wish it....

lol. I tend to stay quiet most of the time and only talk when someone is speaking to me. I'm not really one to talk to someone, seeing how shy I am most of the time xD.

I'm the same way, but I somehow always sit next to the very chatty ones...I don't know how, but I do.
