References? The basic gist of the set is having some sort of ghoulish shadows; originally I wanted to go for simple ghost-like shapes with negatives for the expressions. The NPC shadows are more for kicks, but it'd also be an interesting concept to have them. As for references, the NPC characters are not my own and I'm sure there are shadow-like items on other avatar-based forums.
