@Minuxe: I can't say very much, but I'm almost at the equivalent of halfway through Spanish 1, lol. I haven't had a lot of time to put into it lately. I can say where I'm from, that I can understand and speak Japanese a little, and that I have to downplay my skills when complimented. There's a little more that I know, but it's mostly scattered knowledge.

That's really cool! I hope you can learn it enough and that you enjoy your stay, if you end up going there.

Viz's mistake that bothered me the most with manga was Inuyasha, when I still read that. I preferred reading it in scans online. When they flipped, it screwed up Sesshoumaru because he was asymmetrical.

They've said that they flip it because they think it makes for an easier reading experience.

Psssh. They said. They should just flip the rest of the books around, idiots.

@Lios: O I see, that is good! It's always smart to downplay your skills when you are still learning. I hope once you do learn enough you keep the skills for a long time. It is so easy to lose a language by not speaking it regularly.
I should be able to learn a considerable amount of Mandarin if I stay there for a few months and block myself off from English completely.
O I see, that really sucks! Plus it isn't hard at all to adapt to reading things right to left.

@Minuxe: Apparently, in Japan you don't accept compliments, lol. You're supposed to downplay whatever you've been complimented on. I want to visit Japan and learn the language better. I'm pretty sure I'm learning the formal version of the language.

I took two years of Spanish, but because I don't speak it regularly I've forgotten a lot of it.
