My new record - 10km in 60 mins. (: These days i'm usually running around 9-10 km.
lol i'm looking at the comments in here and i've really made progress in the last half year. ^^

I still didn't lose weight though... but at least i'm fit and I feel lean underneath my extra fat. My body doesn't feel "loosen" anymore. I just need to shed those extra 8 kilos I have on me to show my curves a little bit more.

I'm so proud of you Mogwai~

I decided to say "Fuck it," buy running shoes and just go running.
IT WAS SO MUCH BETTER
I could run a lot farther before my legs decided they would die, and it felt GREAT.
Honestly!
Also, my arch is doing better~

That's awesome! Congratulations - That really is a great time.

I only just got my 5k time under 30 minutes, so I'm looking to get that even faster before I put my efforts towards longer distances.

Pistachio_Moustache, what kind of shoe did you buy? I'm always curious about this stuff. Running gear varies so much from person to person, but it's fun to hear about what works for someone else.

Some shoes I got from Walmart.
Not sure of the brand.

Thank you all (: about shoes - When I had Nike, I got blisters from running. I bought saucony running shoes and I don't get blisters anymore. They're very light and that's the type of shoes I need for long distance running on the treadmill..

5k less than 30 mins is good progress (: you're right, take your time with longer distances, that's what I have done before running 10k... I began from 4k, then 5-6 to 7-8 and now i'm doing usually 9-10.

I wear Saucony too, I guess that we're shoe buddies now.

I mostly bought this pair because the price was right, but they've been one of my better running shoes. Minimal blisters, no soreness afterward, and they don't wear me down. Can't really argue with the results, either!

Just ran my first 10k this morning! Had the time and it was such amazing weather out, so I figured this was a good opportunity to try out a longer distance. I got it done in 55 minutes, so I'm stoked!

Now I just need to find the motivation to run that kind of distance more often.

Congratulations, Knerd! I love running, and I wish I did it more and for longer distances. I want to be like Forrest Gump when he ran back and forth across the United States. Except maybe with less heartbreak and news coverage.

I run/walk 3.4 miles which is over 5k in about 45 minutes to an hour.
Only because it's super hot here, and I push my son in his stroller.
I am pushing about fourty pounds.

I'm planning to go on a run on Sunday. I work tomorrow morning, and I will be too tired in the afternoon.

So I know that lots of you folks are making New Year's Resolutions to get more active - Is anyone taking up running?

I kept careful track of my running stats throughout 2014 and found out that I'd run 478.7 total miles, with a PR mile time of 7:50. Not half bad! Maybe I'll break that 500 mile mark in 2015.

I still haven't given up on finding other runners on Mene!

Are any of you folks doing a Turkey Trot today for Thanksgiving? I'm not in any official races, but hopefully I'll have time to run around the block a bit before dinner.

I've always hated running. But I've been working out for over a year now and forcing myself to run as a warmup. I can run a mile without stopping to walk now. That's as far as I can go but I'm proud of it lol.
