Once again, it falls to me - the resident 'magic expert' - to make the Contribution Item announcement. *snort* As if I knew anything about this pair of items at all! *shakes his head*

In any case, Mr. Mayor came to me a few weeks ago and requested I retrieve this month's items from.... well, I guess it's actually a secret. So let's just say they came from "Jao Koh" - not that it really gives you an idea where I went. At Jao Koh, I was supposed to find a shrine where two relics stolen from the priests of the Fire and Water had been kept.

Mr. Mayor's directions were very specific and he warned me that it could be dangerous. Well, he was right. Pirates - maybe the same pirates that chased Tesel's ship last month - were on my ship's tail nearly the whole way back home. And then we finally got in sight of the harbor when a mysteriously thick fog rolled in... and by the time it cleared, we realized we'd drifted back out to sea once more.

I won't go into the whole ordeal though; I'm not exactly a storyteller. *rubs his head a little, feeling uncomfortable* But I did manage to bring back the relics, finally. It turns out they have a connection to Menewsha, of all places.

You can wrap yourself in the cool power of the Wave of Naias or go for the flashier power of Calesco's Blaze. Who are Naias and Calesco, you ask? Those are the proper names of the Water God and Fire God. Together, they created The Chain. But since Calesco is the Guardian of Menewsha, I guess that's why the relics were meant to be brought here.

Now, if you'll excuse me... I've got to talk with Mr. Mayor about what can be done about those pirates... *looks grumpy as he stalks off*

Definitely it's part of the storyline... I'm not sure how soon any of this will show up in the manga. :) We have a major plot arc that's going to drive most of the next several manga installments.
