Doreen stretched a bit as she shifted so she could curl up more comfortably in her armchair, a big book of Norse mythology still on her lap. She knew they'd updated the blog a few days before, but it was best to give people the information in smaller chunks, give them a days to digest, and then give them more. Kind of like feeding a reptile.

Glancing at her watch, she finished readjusting and settled in for another half hour of reading-research. Then she'd get up and start dinner and let her roommate start on the blog update.

Laurel was already drafting the blog post, starting with the images she needed to upload. She had found a few articles speculating on Thor and Loki, and their anonymous source had sent her a few more cell-phone captured pictures from the recent event. So she was sorting through everything to see what she could use, and was putting it all together.

"Anything good in the book?" she asked her roommate.

"So far nothing new," Doreen replied, looking over at her briefly. "I mean some funny stories of drunken revelry and stuff, but other than that, not really. So far we're still better off with the gold our source is giving us."

"I just got an email full of choice pictures," Laurel said, turning to look at Doreen and grinning. "Really good stuff. Full armor, casual things, hell, Earth things. The works. And one or two of that scientist woman in a blue gown and half-plate, it's awesome. Some pics of the Svartalfir, too, good clear images."

"Oh excellent." Doreen grinned as she got up to look. "Those are gold. I love whoever that person is." Still grinning, she browsed through the pictures. "I like that one, him at the table in normal clothes. That one is good."

"That one is golden," Laurel agreed. "And this one, I kind of like the juxtaposition of this one, the casual clothes in the glass cell." She pointed at a picture of Loki, in casual, comfortable-looking Asgardian clothes, leaning against the wall of a cell. "Like he just doesn't give a shit that he's being held."

"He definitely looks like he doesn't give a shit," Doreen agreed. "They are all still unfairly sexy, seriously."

"I might link back to that stuff we found a while ago about Loki," Laurel said. "Remember, the whole analysis of why he was important to the mythology?"

"Yeah. Well, I'm thinking of possibly doing a bit of a study on him. From the comments and things that people leave, some people really hate him, and some people just think that he's misguided based on our info." Doreen shrugged. "Could be fun to do a bit of a debate on the subject."

"That could be very interesting," Laurel said, nodding. "Let people draw their own conclusions based on the information."

"Exactly." Doreen blinked and looked over at the apartment door when someone knocked.

"Are you expecting anyone?"

"No...?" Laurel replied, minimizing the blog window and getting up. She looked through the peephole on the door. "Some guy in a suit. Were we expecting any suits?"

"Not that I know of." Doreen frowned. "That's odd. Think we should answer or should we ignore him?"

"Answer, I think," Laurel said. "If he's a salesman or something, we can get him to leave."

Cautiously, Laurel unlocked the door and opened it. "Hello?"

Coulson looked at the two with a faint smile. "Miss Abernathy. Miss Ackerley. My name is Agent Coulson, and I'd like to speak to you both for a few minutes."

Laurel raised an eyebrow.

"Agent?" she repeated. "Where did you say you were from?"

"I didn't," Coulson replied. "But I really would like to speak with you both."

Doreen glanced at Laurel before she nodded her consent, moving back into the apartment a bit and leaving the final decision up to Laurel.

Coulson looked at them both with a faint, bland smile, just waiting. Of course, he could get in uninvited, but he'd prefer to do this the nice way first.

Laurel nodded back at her roommate and stepped aside to let the agent in.

"Make yourself comfortable," she said.

Coulson moved inside but he didn't take a seat, instead looking at the two.

"You know, the blog you keep is very popular. I was surprised to see how many people read it."

"Our... blog?" Laurel asked, raising an eyebrow. "You're here about our blog? What, are you a follower or something?"

"Not exactly." Coulson looked at them for a few moments. "I'm here because somehow you two manage to have the best information on these events, and pictures no one else has. You've done better research than anyone else, especially for not being paid to do it."

"That's because the research is fun, and we've got most of the materials already," Doreen said with a shrug. "We just look up the lore."

"Although we can't take credit for some of the pictures," Laurel mused. "We have a source for some those, but they're anonymous." She looked at Coulson. "Where did you say you were from?" she asked a second time.

Coulson just smiled a bit. "There are some people who are interested in meeting you," he said, neatly evading the question. "If you have a few hours."

"That didn't answer my question," Laurel said. "I'd really like to know who exactly sent you, and why they're interested in one blog out of thousands."

"I'm from SHIELD," Coulson said. "The name should sound familiar."

It only took Doreen a moment, and then she blinked several times and looked at Laurel. Because clearly she was going insane now.
