Niko nodded, glancing down at himself briefly.

"So what do we want to do now?" He glanced at Khalid, since she was the resident expert.

"We need to find somewhere to stay until the time slip puts us back where we belong," Khalid said. "I'm thinking the best way to do that is to find somewhere near the market; it would be close enough to the palace to keep tabs on things, but not so close that we could get into any sort of real trouble." She paused for a moment. "Especially if we landed in during the reign of the Ptolemy dynasty. Things got out of hand, when it came to them."

Niko nodded. "I guess we should start looking, then," he said quietly, snagging Jeane's shirt before she could go more than a few steps. "And that means not wandering off."

Jeane just grinned.

Khalid rolled her eyes at Jeane, even as she altered her own clothes.

"Come on," she said to them. "Being out and about once or twice won't be too bad, so I'm going with you."

Jeane grinned but obediently stuck close to the other two as they moved around, taking a look around. Jeane had to be tugged along once or twice when she got distracted.

As they walked through the market, they were getting a few odd looks, but there were enough foreign soldiers around that they didn't get more than a few second glances. By the time Khalid managed to get them some supplies and a lead on an abandoned dwelling, she was certain of when they had been dropped and she was also more than ready to get off her feet. She gestured for Niko and Jeane to follow her.
