[ooc: hello! I'm not big into the whole writing out descriptions and everything. I love to just hop in and go! This roleplay is a modern based vampire roleplay, taking place in the beautiful yet crazed city of Seattle. Anyone who would like to join is welcome! I do request no god modding, and no trying to roleplay another person's character in your post. Other than that, have at ye!!]

'Clink, clink, clink.'

The quiet sound echoed down the abandoned street, bouncing off some warehouse near the end. The noise came from the pocket of a young girl - more precisely, the coins in her pocket she would run her fingers through. Hazel gaze was turned downwards, watching as the imperfect cement ground moved passed under her slowly lumbering feet.

It was obvious she was in no sort of a hurry; in fact, one may go as far to say she looked reluctant. But the light coming from overhead street lights was poor, and the night was starless, so such details would be hard to pick up.

Her free arm - the one not linked to her right pocket - was tightly wrapped about a stuffed tiger doll. Red painted fingernails absently stroked through the soft fur of the toy.

Half and half hair was tussled from the cool wind coming in from the west, the blonde half gleaming brightly each time she passed under a streetlight. A sigh pressed through her glossed lips, and then some inaudible words - ending with a scoff, as her arm tightened around the tiger.

She wore a black, form fitting coat, zipped up to her neck to counter the breeze. Baggy jeans were belted to stay around her slim waist, then practically parachuted to the ground - wrinkled and bunched all the way down. Her shoes were out of view, because of the pants length, and black fingerless gloves kept her hands warm. A black beret finished off the ensemble.

[not much going on in this post x3 mainly to let whoever wants to turn it whatever way hop in~!]

Ah, such a beautiful night...

Red strands of hair wafted in the night wind, the colour of fresh blood. They brushed the pale, luminescent face of a woman, who was hard to put an age to. Most people would place her in her twenties. With high cheek-bones, a straight nose, and red-painted rosebud lips, she was beautiful, yet almost alien. Her eyes were dark, darker than the night sky, and glittered strangely in the harsh orange glow of the streetlights.

She stood quite still, staring up into the empty expanse of the sky beside a bus stop, absently humming strains of melody. When the night was still except for the ever present hum of cars and electricity, her waist-length hair bunched over her bare shoulders, a colour evidently dyed. Despite the chill, she wore only what could be described as a corset, and long pants. The corset was a deep blue, with bright white laces. It made a startling contrast with the paleness of her skin, though few would have noticed, being instead mesmerized by her face. The pants she wore were plain, black, and snuggly fitting. Black steel-toed shoes completed the ensemble. She was not particularly skinny; she was slim, but it was from muscle that she had a trim figure.

At the faint sound of coins clinking, she broke off her contemplation of the sky, and glanced straight ahead to a little street, peering into the darkness for the source of the noise. While she could make out no distinct features, she assumed it was a young child. A small smile twitched the corners of her red-lipstick lips, as she waited for the child to come forward. When she assumed the child was close enough to hear, her melodious voice rang out across the street, distorting slightly as it reverbated and bounced off of walls.

"It's a cold hour of the night to be outside by yourself."

"The same can be said for you," came a voice almost as cold as the night air itself. The source of the voice then emerged from a shadow just in front of both of the girls. The only distinguishable characteristics where the long, dark, hair and trench coat that seemed black, unless light shown directly on it where it almost glowed a blood red. The figure had its back turned to the two looking down the street where it opened up some. "To bad nights like this make people appear to be almost evil, but that isn't far from the truth. Is it?

He turned to show a profile of his face which was slim and his eyes seemed to me somewhat recessed so that he looked similar to a skeleton in this low light. His smile was as if it didn't belong in the mix of his features. It was as friendly and inviting as if he was your closest friend his whole life. His brown eyes even with his age seemed have a twinkle of seeing the world like a child does.

"Nights can be so beautiful if you know where to look."

She barely turned her head when the newcomer spoke. Dark and brooding, he was, and to humans, he might even have been menacing. She let him speak his part, keeping her silence. He is one of us. The thought drifted lazily through her mind, as he said, "Nights can be so beautiful if you know where to look."

The smile she gave him did not reach her eyes, as she casually, gracefully, stepped closer to him. "Nights make no man or woman seem evil, but their attire may allow this allusion."

She was only a step away from him, ignoring the young girl completely, and started circling him slowly, sizing him up as competition. She brushed a few loose strands of her hair behind her ear, as she whispered so that only he might hear, "Do you know where to look? Or do you see beauty where you should see danger?"

The girl had stopped under a streetlight, observing the too. Near up to them, her build and features would lead one to guess she were somewhere in her late teens - though her mannerisms were definitely that of a younger child. Large eyes watched the two closely, holding neither fear nor confusion.. if anything, a sort of delight to have found anyone on this lonely, cold evening.

A kind smile grew on her soft pink lips, and the same mouth opened to let a small giggle escape. The clinking had stopped in her pocket, though her hand remained hidden. Her other continued stroking the tiger lightly, arm wrapped around it in a loving hug.

At the moment, she didn't feel the need to interject - so she kept quiet, waiting on the other two, simply listening to their exchange of words.

A perfect night to be alone, a perfect chance to find a small amount of peice without having to look too hard. Or a perfect chance to go looking for a party where the message was drink, do drugs and fuck the person that you're dancing with...

She wasn't choosing the latter at the moment, she enjoyed the quiet of the night. The taste of the cool night was exquisite and she could feel the stillness on her shoulders, it was not as uncomfortable as most people claim it to be. As she walked her high heeled boots clicked a beautiful sound a sound that told her she was alone when no one shifted out of the darkness as they do some nights.

Chin length black hair framed a pale angular face with sharp cheek bones, dark eyes to match hair contrasted with the whiteness of her skin made her look eerily scary. Her lips were painted a cherry red, but there was a mar of black as a chunk of hair was in her mouth as she chewed it.

Her attire was anything but warm, her boots were a black leather with leather laces as the only way to get them on and were tied on tightly. Underneath were black and white socks that went up to mid thigh stopping short under a cherry red skirt that matched her lipstick almost perfectly. Her top shouldn't be called a top but more of a black corset with blood red lacings.

The chilly night didn't seem to phase her though. She wasn't shivering, goosebumps didn't cover her skin and she walked around as if she was on the beach in the hottest of temperatures...

Her head jerked to the right though when she heard a girl's giggle down another alley. She stood still contemplating going to investigate.. she was enjoying the quiet night but even as she thought it she turned her body to the sound and began to walk her boots ringing off the black cement..

As the man turned and his white shirt and a cross on a chain shown out from the neck of his jacket he said to th woman circling him like a hungry wolf "There are whispers of a hunter out tonight. Some caution would be a good practice until he or she is dealt with. Oh and don't worry about competing with me for a meal tonight. I have already satisfied myself."

Rose sat on the dimly lit steps at the end of University Street and looked out at the Sound. The air blowing off the water and against her face was cool and crisp and her mind was racing. It has been a while since she had been back to this city; a city she loved more than anything, but circumstances had driven her back in to hiding.

She heard footsteps coming from behind her and her eyes shifted to see if she could pin point where they were coming from without turning her head. The echoes from the footsteps indicated that the individual had turned a corner and gone on their way.

Just as well, she thought bitterly. She hated what she had become but there was no going back. No going back to the way things USED to be. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a man approaching. With a heavy sigh she rose to her feet, pulling the belt of her burgundy designer leather jacket tight and readjusting the black gloves that covered her hands. She dusted off her black leather jeans and turned to the man and smiled slyly. He had mistook her for a high price professional so she decided to play his game and escort him down to the pier near the Aquarium. She pulled him in to a dark corner and took him. He struggled at first, believing he was stronger than she but she overpowered him easily and sank her teeth in to his warm flesh; hot fresh blood running down her throat. She withdrew her teeth and watched the life fade from the man's eyes and grinned wickedly. She hated what she had become yes, but there was no feeling like this anywhere; the feeling of power and satisfaction of blood lust.

She withdrew a Kleenix from her pocket and wiped away the stray strands of blood from her lips and chin and made sure she had none elsewhere. She didn't like to be dirty. She tossed it and the man in to the black murky water and decided to wander back up to see where the other set of footsteps had gone.

A cross? He is trying to be ironic, or still believes in God. What a fool.

She straightened, and stopped her circling. She pursed her lips, contemplating his words. Finally, she smiled, a dangerous, feral smile, and laughed.

"A hunter, you say? That shall be good sport. While I do not hunger greatly, it will be amusing to make the kill of this, slow, stupid human. Mayhaps I'll leave some for you. Unless, of course, you will be too, cautious to join in the hunt."

It was an obvious taunt. This man, she had decided, was no match for her. She had no fledglings of her own, but if he had been one, she would have been rid of him after realizing her mistake of turning such a weakling. Haughty with delusions of superiority, she saw fit to turn her back on him, to regard the girl under the streetlight.

She was definitely older than she first appeared, but by how much was questionable. By the simple fact that she had not run away, made her a child of the night. What a poor choice her master made in choosing to turn her.

(Ooc~ My charrie isn't actually that powerful, she just has a giant ego. xP Anyone, feel free to teach her a lesson.)

A smile of amusement broke his lips but it showed no fangs. He leaped into the air and landed on the top of the roof then telepathically reached out to the woman he had just met. "This hunter is said to be more than just human, good luck i haven't met any so beautiful that have been turned." and waited for a quick glance to give her a devilish wink.

More than human...

The fact he had touched her mind and spoken through it sent a deep inborn sentiment of revilement through her. Her master had done the same very often, in mockery of her not being able to communicate telepathically. A funny expression came to her face, one of pent up resentment, and repressed memories.

More than human...

The words echoed in her mind as she watched the surprising man. He was more gutsy than she had first thought, but that did not help to brighten her mood, nor did his compliments.

More than human...

Much as she pretended to be otherwise, she was still young for a vampire. She did not know what it meant to be more than human, unless it was that a vampire hunted and fed on others of their kind. Chills of dread went down her spine; the very thought was sickening. She knew it was an unspoken rule to never, ever feed on a kindred. It was wrong on every level she could imagine, and she was afraid. She was afraid and uncertain, and she didn't want to admit it. But how to ask for more information without showing weakness? Then there was the child to consider; how could she lose face in front of one so pathetic? There was no other choice.

"Wait," she commanded, "You can't just jump off somewhere. Tell me more of this, more than human, hunter."

"It hunts by the light of the full moon. The only stories i have heard are the masters of the sired it has killed all of them say that they hear their children call out for help and no one has time enough to answer," He answered telepathically.

He saw movement many blocks down of a human hunter nearing a vampire in a different ally and leaped from the 8 story building he had landed on earlier. He now landed just over this so called hunter. He wished for a decent fight. He hadn't enjoyed killing a so called hunter in ages. He dove down and spun at the last moment catching his victim by his hair bending the human backwards over his knee and holding his katana just behind the neck. He whispered in the hunters ear, "You who are about to die shall hear my name. I have sired none so only those that i have tried to kill will know that i am Kornval. Right now you are the only one alive to know this name."

As this was said the stench of the humans fear filled the air, and Kornval beheaded him and drained all the blood from his body absorbing the strength from his former enimy and adding it to his own an he drank.

Rose continued to walk up University Street, head down and hugging her body. It wasn't the cold that bothered her. She was immune to such things. She sensed something; a presence...actually more than one.. like HER. She began to walk faster, paying no mind to the traffic lights and crosswalk signals. She decided to cut down 4th to get to Pike Street. As she walked, she turned to look down in to an alley to see someone killing another. Transfixed, she stopped and leaned up against the corner of the building nearby and watched.

Her brow furrowed as she watched. One like me she thought as she listened to him speaking. She had thought she heard him say Kornval, not a name she'd heard before, but then again those like her didn't often provide their names to the humans before killing them. She edged closer, not wishing to disrupt the feed, but still she found the whole ordeal rather interesting and amusing. "Well it looks like he's good and dead now. What do you propose you are going to do with what's left of him? You sure are messy."

It hunts by the light of the full moon. The only stories I have heard are the masters of the sired it has killed; all of them say that they hear their children call out for help, but no one has time enough to answer.

She stood mutely, thinking over this information. This hunter must be as fast one of us, and as dangerous. By the light of the full moon only? That's in...oh no, I don't know when the next full moon is! She frowned at the wall in front of her eyes, and tried to remember legends. Full moon had rung a bell, but she couldn't quite remember where she had heard that before.

Victims only in the light of the full moon, silver...something about silver. A beast? A werewolf! Of course!

She almost slapped herself for her forgetfulness. Of course it would be a werewolf, the sworn enemy of the vampire. Or at least, so stories said. She had never encountered one before, and was uncertain what should be done. Evidently, she couldn't take care of it by herself. There must be some sort of council, or at least a group that takes care of problems like this... she mused. Whirling back to face the child, and deciding it was more important to have information that to appear stupid and young, she demanded,

"Do you know when the next full moon is? Or more importantly, is there some sort of council of elders? Is there even an elder?"

For not the first time, she cursed how little her sire had told her. He had found it amusing to let her discover things on her own, but had never informed her of many, uncountable things. Stupid fool got what he deserved. Stepping out into the sunlight....

"You are quick. The mess the rodents and rain will clean the blood. The body i will drop in the lake nearby." He looked up and saw the moon one day away from being full. "I am spreading the word of a hunter that is more dangerous than usual it hunts only by the light of the full moon and the two nights surrounding it." He picked the body up with one hand, the head with the other. "You heard my name didn't you? I hope you will keep the tradition of my siring and not tell anyone that is not my sire or my victim. You can tag along if you're interested in hearing more about my history or what i have heard about this hunter." He then jumped to the rooftop, raised an eyebrow interested in the response. And said telepathically, "are you coming or not."

Rose stood still propped against the building, arms crossed in front of her with a look of amusement on her face and listened to Kornval. She could already see the filthy rodents coming out of their hiding places, scurrying back and forth across the alley attracted to the scent of fresh blood. Some had already begun to gnaw on the newly deceased human.

A hunter that only hunts by the light of the full moon...interesting, Rose thought as she watched him effortlessly picked up the body.

She pushed herself off of the building and walked forward. "I have no intention of telling anyone your name. It is not normally my style and considering I'm more of a loner I don't believe you have anything to worry about."

Truth was that Rose was a loner because she had not met anyone like her before. Yes, she had met the man who had made her what she was against her will, a night she would never forget, but never anyone that had offered to tell her their story. She was intrigued by this man and did want to learn more about him and this "hunter" he spoke of.

She cocked her head and shrugged her shoulders. "Oh what the hell. Not like I have something better to do." She hopped up next to Kornval and looked expectantly at him. "Lead the way."

A young female walks around boredly, her eyes showing crimson as she occasionally looks up, humming softly to herself, her hair short and in the little 'emo' style that seemed to be popular. She just wore the style because she had to have her hair cut and she refused to let them destroy her bangs. She'd always liked hiding behind her hair; a futile attempt to block out the world, but she liked it none the less.
Yuko sighs faintly and sits where she stood, her shirt black skirt showing more of her fishnet clad legs, her knee legnth boots covered in straps and chains, her T-shirt tight and black, just like everything else she wore. A small ribbon moved in a little breeze at the back of her head, a faint frown tugging at her black-colored lips, the thick eyeliner circling her eyes making the crimson of her contact lensed eyes stand out in her pale skin.

Ahh a good day in Seattle. He felt happy. The ocean spray, fine coffee, clouds and stars broken by the moon. A fine night. His ears were still ringing, he had just gotten back from a monster truck show. Stupid, basic, primal. Beautiful. Still even with all that, taking it live was loud as all hell. Curse on his ears. But he was happy as he could be.

20 years. 20 years of being away from here in life. His birthplace. He had missed it so much growing up. He had his masters and had set up his firm here with the money from his wife's father croaking. Assured saying that wasn't nice, but neither he not his wife really liked the guy. But as long as he thought they did it was enough to become overnight millionaires.

Though she was off in Japan this month so he was just enjoying himself. Why didn't they leave together? Because he couldn't speak Japanese. She could, but walking around translating was deathly. Neither of them wanted that stress, so awkward vacation with phone calls on the daily. Just like when they still had a long distance relationship.

He wore a nice little hoody reading on the front, 'I support nuclear power.' and on the back, 'Just try to tell me I'm wrong.' a good strong pair of jeans and his natural little brown sneakers. He also wore a necklace on the outside with a bit of a conflicting message. Ancient shark tooth and a saint peter bit. The chain and saint pete made of gold. The shark tooth just old.

He had long black hair and wore a pair of black rimmed glasses. Brown eyes stared from behind. And within his hoody he had a small eagle claw crowbar. Might be his hometown but he didn't trust it for shit.

He figured he should make his way home now. And wondered if tonight would be the one he would test his god complex. Or if he would just go home. Odd.

Rose followed Kornval over various buildings and out over the water near Discovery Park. She watched as he dropped the body without the slightest care that someone might have loved that human. That was the thing about being what they were. There was no remorse and no regret.

She listened intently to his story; to his birth, death, and reawakening. Whether or not any of it were true remained to be seen but she'd rather be here for the moment than out there.

As they floated through the black night back toward the city she noticed the humans moving around like ants; straight lines back and forth, hustle and bustle. She directed them to stop near the Pike Place Market sign.

"So, is all of this you've told me... what are we going to do? Surely we must warn others of our kind."

As he sipped on his coffee he felt busy in his head. Just because everyone around him was busy. He looked over at the forces that walked about him taking a stop here. Liking the music of some band that took their work to the sidewalk singing songs, little hat to hold some money. But like most they weren't doing it for money. They did it for people like him, gave them hope they had talent, and that they could bring music back to this city again.

"Here you go homie. Go buy yourself some burgers."

He tossed in a hundered and they laughed taking a break for a minute. Always good to make people laugh. Always good to be rich as well. Means you can get away with being frivilous.

He looked off to the side and saw a pair of people. He didn't know why, but often these days when he looked over at some he got this odd feeling in his gut. Only at night as well. These two were...odd to him...so he couldn't help but gravitate toward them. He feigned the look of another walking person of Seattle taking the time to take in some coffee. He was listening though.

It was psychotic for him. But he couldn't help it. Years of helping people...and he had a strange sixth sense about people these days.

The light from the neon illuminated Rose's face and cast shades of red and pink hues across it. Kornval hung back in to the shadows as he spoke.

"We should get down from here before we are spotted. Follow me."

Rose looked down behind the market to make sure there were no humans and jumped down, Kornval behind her. She walked up through the back entrance and upstairs past the magic shop and Tenzing Momo. She used to love to spend weekends here having all you can eat strawberry waffles in the restaurant downstairs and then later coming up to Tenzing Momo to waste time looking at all the herbs and apothecary items. She paused to smell some of the freshly cut morning glories in the bin outside of the flower shop and couldn't help but smile as the fish vendors were tossing the fish back and forth through the air.

As they walked out toward the golden pig she noticed someone coming toward them. Humans usually went about there business without so much as batting an eye at her. Kornval, on the other hand, she wasn't so sure. This one, however, took notice of them and was heading toward them. "There is a human coming toward us. We may need to stick together a little while longer yet. I wonder what it wants....and yes, the company has been most enjoyable."

He was noticed. Well in a way anyway. But what was he to do. If they knew he existed he may as well follow carefully of course, but still following taking his time past the marketplace and staring at the various parts. It flew back and forth around him. The feeling of what he figured was in these people it made him uneasy,

"So long I've waited for an answer or a sign..."

It was hard to not be nervous, and being nervous made him sing. He couldn't help it, a nervous tick of sorts.

He looked about them...they seemed pale...were they ravers?

He spoke telepathically to Rose "Let's see how far this curious human is willing to get." He began talking about sushi and all the interesting places to go in to along this strip. He also spoke whispers just to see if the human noticed that he was carrying on a dual conversation.

As he and rose walked among the crowds he kept an eye out for an empty alleyway to slide into and test the humans curiosity. "Well i must say darling that a good store with hunting supplies is difficult to find around here."

Rose smiled and chattered, making sure to stay aware of the humans' presence. She wondered what it wanted since the humans often avoided her, whether it is was due to some feeling of danger or that they weren't interested in bothering with her, she couldn't say.

"You will not find hunting supplies downtown at all. The best place would probably be down in Tukwila or Kent."
