At thanksgiving time, we had to go two days without it, in the midst of snowy weather. We could see our breath in the house, and ice formed in our drinks. On the plus side, none of our food spoiled :/

We used to lose our heat a lot in the winter. We had floor heaters set up everywhere and had to bundle up a lot. I know how you must have felt if it was that cold in your house!
Once we lost our A/C in the middle of summer. That was bad, too. It was so bad I got sick.

Our winters are really cold, but once it warms up it really warms up. *sigh* I don't like warm weather because it brings out the bugs. I feel heat much worse than I feel cold.

Yes, I'm the same way on heat vs. cold. Comes with the pale skin found on dad's side of the family.

We don't have a special dinner on Christmas. It's just a day of presents.

I'm not into eating holidays because of the usual foods. I used to eat pizza on Thanksgiving.
