Alexander Mills
Age: 19
Height: 6’4’’
Weight: 200lbs
Build: Muscular
Eyes: Green with brown around the pupil.
Appearance: His black hair is worn long so he can hide his horrible scars on the side of his face and down his neck. Most of the time he wears a hoodie or long sleeves so no one can see the scars on his right arm and upper back.
Backstory: His parents were killed when he was six during a massive fire that scared him. After that he went to live with his Uncle Bob a truck driver.
Hobbies: Master woodcraftsman.

----------

The large semi-cab rolled down the highway , pulling a large trailer behind it. ‘Bob’s Long Road Hauling Co.’ was emblazed on the side of the black cab in a metallic orange. The windows were slightly fogged from the heater and the two warm bodies inside the cab. There was a teenage boy and an older man in his early fifties. A shaggy red beard covered his face; the rest of his hair was hidden under a large baseball cap. The boy leaned against the cool window his face and head covered by the hood of a jacket.

The boy twitched and moaned in his sleep waking himself up from a nightmare of fire. “You alright there Boyo?”

“Nothing I can’t handle, just a dream.” Alex shifted in the bucket seat to look out over the hood of the cab. The man frowned, but dropped the matter. Boy’s old enough to know how to handle himself. The teenager adjusted his hood and leaned back in his seat sighing. There was no possibility of him going back to sleep after one of those dreams. “How much further to the house?”

“We’ll be there in about 30 minutes. Most of the stuff was delivered to the house yesterday, so we’ll have a beds to sleep in. You’ll need your sleep you’ve got class tomorrow.” Alex nodded, but was fearful at the thought of starting again. School was always hard, the questions the staring…God this sucks. The older man could tell that his nephew was upset, but the trucker knew it would be best if his ward started school as soon as possible.

“I talked to the principal a few days ago. All your credit’s transferred and good news they have a really large woodshop.” Alex’s head rose a little at the words looking at his uncle.

“Sound’s good.” The hooded figure’s voice was gruff, not just from sleep. Bob gave the kid a soft smile. He hoped the boy would find it easier to cope at this school.

“The term’s only about two week’s in so you shouldn’t get behind.” Alex shifted uncomfortably. He didn’t want to think about the trials of the next day. The teen switched on the radio and turned it up blasting the lyrics of Lynard Skinard’s ‘Simple Man’. They both fell silent and watched as the road sped by.

There was nothing better than school it seemed. Aiden was pretty popular, he dated whoever he wanted which were mainly guys since he was openly gay. He had really good friends and he got what wanted when he wanted from anybody. It was senior yeah which to Aiden, it was the year to goof off and throw parties. He was always well rested for school since he had no reason to lift a finger at home considering he had a personal maid. What else could be better?

“Aiden!” his best friend, Omar called out to him just as he got to school in his green Toyota. Of course, it was new car. Aiden had to have the best. Aiden got out of his car after he parked it and smiled at Omar.
Aiden was wearing some ‘loose’ skinny dark gray jeans and a long sleeve black but the sleeves were rolled up past his forearms just to show off his muscles. His hair was done nicely like always.

Omar was short compared to Aiden; Omar barely reached six feet and had crazy, curly brown hair that curled his around his cheek bones, hazel eyes to match and a sun-kissed tan skin.

“Hey. Where are we going after school?” Aiden asked but just before Omar could answer, the annoying morning bell rang signaling kids it was time to go to first period. “Nevermind. Talk to you later...” Aiden didn’t want to risk being late for class, he already had enough tardys. Anymore, he could risk suspension so Aiden rushed off to first period.

The halls were always crazy in the morning. Everyone rushing past everyone and trying to talk to friends while trying to make it class before the bell rang. Though somehow, he managed.

He got to first period and sat down in the middle of the class in his assigned seat. He watched the usual kids enter with a bored expression. Soon enough the class filled up and there was an empty seat next to him. “Erik didn’t come today?” he asked himself as the teacher started to write the lesson of the day on the board.

Alex pulled into the parking lot in his uncle's vintage blue Buick le Sabre. The old car was originally something his father and uncle had worked on together when he was still alive. Bob had given it to the kid after he got his license. The two had spent many weekends bonding over the vehicle. Alex had always been good with his hands, so the mechanics of a car were simple.

He watched the students file into the building many of them were smiling happily, talking with friends and just enjoying life. Waiting until most of the students were inside Alex pulled his hood up and grabbed his bag locking the door. The office was empty save for an older secretary behind the front desk. The teen towered over her "Hello young man. Please take off your hood, their not allowed in the building." Slowly Alex pulled down the hood, making sure that his hair covered the majority of his scars. The secretary's eyes grew wide at the sight. "Oh, well you must be Mr. Mills. Your uncle called last week to get you enrolled in classes. Here's your classes and let me get the principal, she'll want to talk to you and take you to your first class." Her eyes never left his face, she even went so far as to try and look under his hair to see the majority of the damage.

The student did his best to ignore the woman and took the class schedule that she handed him. "Thank you." The older woman stood up and went to the principal's office and knocked. A distinguished black woman made her way over to him taking his hand in a firm handshake. "I'm Principal Mallory Richards. Please follow me, let's get you to your first class."

Alex followed the diminutive black woman, answering her questions with a simple yes or no. She was nice, but he only had a year here, he didn't want any special treatment or pity. He just wanted to live his life; get done and open his shop. "Here's Mr. William's class. It was nice to meet you Mr. Mills." Alex walked into the class, the teacher looked up from the board, "Can I help you?"

"I'm the new student."

"Ah yes, Mr. Mills. Please take the empty seat next to Mr. Conner. " Alex silently walked across the class room slipping into the empty seat and made sure his face was covered. He looked out from under the curtain of hair to look at the boy next to him. The kid was...wow...amazing looking. Alex suppressed his feelings knowing that a person like that would want nothing to do with him.

History was his first period class and it was the worst class to have espicially early in the morning. Aiden didn't like history at all, it bored him to death. Why did he have to learn about things that happened in the past? He often thought to himself.

So, just to pass the time, he often wrote notes out to whoever he thought would provide a good conversation with. His notes usually went out to guys who replied with flirty comments and Aiden replied just as flurtious. It didn't matter, he didn't have any boyfriend. He dated a lot of guys but he hadn't had a boyfriend since eighth grade year.

Aiden was getting a note from the floor just as the door opened. Since history didn't provide enough attention, everybody looked towards the door in curiousty, as so did Aiden. It was then he saw a figure wearing a hoodie even though it was fucking outside. He didn't have the hoodie up but still, it was too damn hot to wear anything that thick.
Everyone turned their heads to try and get a good look at the new kid, wanting to know who and where he was. Being the new kid, it was kind of exciting to figure them out. Aiden raised a curious eyebrow and leaned his cheek on his fist as his elbow rested on the table.

The hair seemed to cover his face way to much and no matter how much Aiden turned his head, he couldn't get a good view of his face. The new kid had a very nice body, Aiden would give him that but he wanted to see his face.
The teacher smacked the board with her large ruler to get the class attention and she did yet Aiden was a bit determined to see his face.
With a light sigh, he turned and leaned back in his chair as he wrote back to all the notes that gathered up on his desk. But as he wrote, he often kept looking through the corner of his eyes at the male hoping to catch a glance. With lips pursed to the side, he ripped a piece of paper off his homework and wrote, "Hi.." on it before he slide it over on the new kids desk.

Alex ignored the other students in the class staring at him and concentrated on his notes. History, and learning in general were something that the boy loved. It pulled his mind away from everyday troubles, and made him focus on other things. The class was behind where he had left off at his previous high school. He had completed a few AP classes his sophomore year and only had to take a few classes to graduate. He was happy to have a more liberal scheduled this year. The less time he had to spend around others the better. Hopefully the wood shop teacher would let him spend most of his free time there.

Alex was sweltering in his hoodie. He'd take it off, but he didn't want to risk the movement. There were too many people around. He focused on taking notes until a small note slid into his view. Sliding it over Alex's eyes widened. Why was anyone passing him a note? Unconsciously he tucked the hair on the un-scared side of his face behind his ear. Bright green eyes looked over at the handsome kid beside him who was looking nonchalantly at the board.

The note was just simple greeting. Alex wrote back, 'Hi' and slipped it back to the handsome kid.

Aiden replied to the notes he received but he was more concretrated on wanting to get a note from the new kid. He had yet to be caught by the teacher for passing this many notes and he was pretty happy about that. He covered his mouth with his hand to repress a yawn just as the new kid passed the note back.
Out of a bit excitement, Aiden yawn was stopped in between and he cleared his throat casually as his eyes followed the arm as it retracted back to his own desk.
His blue eyes trailed up from the new kid's chest up to his face, admiring his features.

He was actually really good looking from what he saw. Why would he cover his face with so much hair? He thought to himself as he reached over slowly and slide the note back towards his way. He chuckled a bit, no reason at all but Aiden was suspecting to have a longer message than his own greeting being repeated back to him.

He grabbed his blue mechinical pencil that was laid to the side of his desk and tapped the tip of the eraser on his lips as he tried to figure out something to say to the male. Usually, people would come up to him and start the conversation with him and he would go along and talk as well or when he approached somebody they would eagerly talk but this was new to him so he wasn't too sure what to say.

'I'm Aiden.' he decided to write down as he slid the paper back to the stranger.

Alex nearly smiled at the laugh that came out of the kid's mouth. He could tell that kid was one of the more popular boys, the way he was collecting notes from all over the room. It was pretty childish, but for some reason the large male was interested to see how this turned out. He knew though that if the kid saw his face, he'd want nothing to do with him. No one ever wanted anything to do with him after they saw his face. a

He took the paper as it was passed back to him. Aiden huh... 'I'm Alex.' Waiting until the teacher's back was turned, he slipped the note back over to the handsome kid. He was angry that he kept playing this game when he knew how this always turned out. Alex looked back down at his notes and set his pen down. The class wasn't learning anything that he didn't already know. He reached over to his bag and pulled out his battered sketchbook. Inside was the latest plans for his new project.

The larger male was making a cabinet for all of his uncle's rare books. It was one of the projects he was hoping to work on at school away from his relative's prying eyes. Not that he'd be in town for much longer. Bob had gotten another hauling job and would be gone after they got the house set up at the end of the week. The carving design was a large network of celitc knots created from dragons.

The notes stopped coming in since now the teacher was faced towards their way but he managed to get the note from the new kid. Alex.. Nice. he thought to himself with a very small smile. He was blank yet again. He wasn't too sure what to write down, he never had to work at a conversation and it was becoming tiredsome.

He tapped the end of the eraser at his bottom lip once more as he looked at the piece of paper, trying to figure something to say or ask of the male. Growing a bit frustrated, he gnawed at the end of the pencil and decided to give up, sliding the note to the side of his desk. That's when he heard shuffling coming from his neighbor.

Aiden curiously peered to the side and watched the male as he pulled out his scrapbook which looked like it belonged in the trash - atleast to Aiden it looked like it belonged in the trash since it was so battered. He sat up more in his chair and leaned back to look into the scrapbook curiously. What he saw, he was quite amazed at about how awesome the drawing looked.

Atleast now there was something to talk about. He leaned up and rested his forearms on his desk as he turned his head to try and look at Alex in the eyes as he spoke, "That's really cool.. Did you draw that?" he asked softly, raising both of his brows in curiousty.

Alex was jarred out of his creative process at the sound of his neighbor's voice. He turned slightly keeping his scars hidden in the dark. He whispered quietly, his gruff voice barely distinguishable above the teacher, "Um...Thanks. It's plans for a cabinet I'm building." Wanted to say more, but the teacher glared at him from the front of the room. She tapped the ruler in her hand.

"Mr. Mills for a new student you seem to know a lot about the subject about pre-civilization nomadic tribes, why don;t you explain it to the rest of us. Or have you let our Mr. Conner distract you from class. Go on then stand up young man. Explain the lesson." Alex paled slightly, but quickly looked over the notes on the board. Alright the Stone age.

"The Stone Age is a broad prehistoric period, lasting about 2.5 million years, during which humans and their predecessor species in the genus Homo, as well as the earlier partly contemporary genera Australopithecus and Paranthropus, widely used exclusively stone as their hard material in the manufacture of implements with a sharp edge, a point, or a percussion surface. Bone was used during this period as well, but finds of bone tools are rare compared to the millions of stone tools that have been collected from the surface or excavated. Bone is much softer than the two types of hard material used by early man: stone and metals. During the Stone Age, metalworking was entirely beyond human capability. This was the first of the three human development eras, followed by the bronze and iron age." Alex sat down without another word, the teacher was speechless and continued glaring at him. He ducked his head and went back to working on his drawing.

Wow, Alex had a really nice, soothing voice when he talked. Something that Aiden wouldn't mind listening him talk all day. Aiden looked up at the teacher as she spoke and rolled his eyes a bit hearing his own last name. He didn't like this teacher and he knew the teacher didn't like him either since he did talk a lot. Yet, he couldn't help but feel bad that he got Alex in trouble on his first day.

He looked up at Alex as he stood up and listened to him talk. But, Alex handed it well. In fact extremely well. Aiden barely understand any of what Alex said but it made the teacher shut up which was good. All the kids looked at the other one a bit surprised that he knew all of that and a strange silence filled the room.

Atleast until Aiden started laughing which the teacher's glare was transferred over to him. When Aiden started to laugh, a few others kids chuckled or giggled finding it funny that the teacher was speachless because the teacher tended to be a bitch.
"What's so funny, Mr. Conner?" the teacher asked who was clearly pissed.

Aiden covered his mouth to surpress his laugh and shake his head. He bought up a hand and shook her off.

"Well, I'm sure you'll find another sheet of homework funny, too, right?" she questioned. The kids booed at Aiden playfully, some seriously.
Aiden took a deep inhale and smiled dazingly, "I don't care. Give me two sheets." he said with a cocky grin.
The teacher raised one eyebrow and rolled her eyes as she went back to the board and continued with the lesson.

Aiden grabbed the previous note between him and Alex, writing on it. 'She's a bitch.' before he passed it to Alex. Aiden's writing looked like chicken scratches.

Alex couldn't help but chuckle at the antics of the other boy. He had the whole school eating out of the palm of his hand. Giving the other boy a small smile he ducked his head getting back to his drawings. Just getting back into the swing of things Alex was interrupted again by a small not slid next to his hand. 'She's a bitch.' He scrawled out a answer in perfect cursive, 'Yea, do you think you might need some help with that homework?'

Alex frowned for a moment as he looked over his answer. What the hell are you doing? He'd chew you up and spit you out in a moment.... Adien seemed like a nice enough guy...he decided that it was worth the risk. He watched the teacher with wide eyes and slipped the note over to Adien. He didn't notice though that the sweat shirt had ridden up his arm exposing the scared tissue on his arm.

By the time Alex noticed it, he was sure the other boy if not a few others had seen. He quickly snatched his hand back and pulled the sleeve down over his hand. Shit...shit that was stupid. Dammit.

Aiden didn't catch the small smile since he was still having a bit of a staring contest with the teacher. He looked over to the side curiously to see his head was bowed already to the drawing before he passed the note.

Aiden decided to catch up on his other notes that were passed back to him and looked to the board to take a few notes. By few, he only wrote down two facts and drew stick fgures all along the side of the paper. Aiden was a bit bent over to draw the stick figures and a fist was pressed to his own cheek. He saw something in the corner of his eyes and it was Alex's.. badly scarred hand. The way the skin twisted and twirled just.... He couldn't help that his eyebrows crinkled together at the sight almost instantly.
Never had he seen such a badly scarred hand before and it kind of sent shivers down his spine. He blinked a little and tried not to make it so obvious that he was disturbed as he grabbed the note.

He read the note and smiled at the offer to help. That was sweet of him. 'Who wouldn't want to be sweet to me?' he thought to himself since he was conceited. Though the image of the horriable scar was still in his mind. He wasn't going to do the homework either way but he didn't want to be rude by declining. 'sure, thanks, Alex : D by the way what's your next class? ' he passed the note back whilst looking at the board as well.

Alex watched Adien's eyes widen and his brows crinkle together. Well, I blew it. Surprisingly a note was passed back to him. Well maybe everything wasn't so hopeless. After reading the note he pulled out his scheduled.

He ripped out a new sheet of notebook paper and started a new note. Wow, did Adien already want to meet with him? 'I've got a free period then English. u?' Waiting for a moment Alex dropped the folded up piece of paper on the floor and moved it over to the other boy with his foot. While waiting for his answer the artist flipped over to a blank page in the sketchbook. Watching Adien out of the corner of his eye Alex started to draw the extremely handsome young man. It was something he didn't usually do, it was a pretty stalker-ish, but right now it gave the student something to do and kept his stomach from doing flip flops.

Suddenly the bell rang jarring him slightly. "Alright class, read the second half of chapter one and complete the worksheets in the back. Mr. Conner, Mr. Mills, both of you will be completing the extra essay questions at the end of the chapter and an essay on why you should pay attention in my class." Alex nodded his hair falling over the rest of his face as he quickly packed up his bag and started to leave the room.

He heard a ripping of the paper and watched Alex curiously for a moment before he stares back at board. He absentmindingly drew different shapes in his history book and looked over once again at Alex to see him placing the note on the floor.

'Smart move.' He thought with a small smile. His foot was placed over the note and he slid it over to where he could pick it up more easily. He bent over slightly and plucked it from the floor, reading it as he placed it on the desk. He didn't have a free period since he failed one class in freshman year. 'Do you know how to get there?' he wrote back but just as he was about to pass the note back, the bell rang which made him jump a little.

He didn't look at the teacher as she spoke, instead he collected his books in his bookbag and held the bookbag over one shoulder by the straps, barely aknowleding the teacher. After she was done talking, he peered over at Alex to ask him the question on the note instead but the male was already leaving. Aiden could've and would've catched up but a few of friends came up and grabbed him by the shoulders, forcing him into a conversation about hanging out that weekend at the bowling alley as a large group and he couldn't escape the conversation as much as he wanted to..

Meanwhile, a short girl with wide glasses, light-skinned and brunette hair that was braided into two spirals crashed into Alex. She gasped lightly and dropped her papers. "Oh, gosh! I'm soo s-s-sorry!!" she looked up at the taller male as she bent down and nervously collected her papers back in her arms in a mess. "I-I'm just in a rush... Are you alright?" she tried to look in his face but his hair was blocking it.

Alex didn't even see the girl until he bumped into her. Her owl like eyes behind her glasses made her all the more enduring to the behemoth of a man. He knelt carefully and helped the young girl pick up the papers scattered over the floor. "I fine. Here's your stuff, are you ok? I didn't even see you." Alex found it easier to talk to women, especially girls like this one. They usually weren't as judgmental as others. Alex made sure to keep the large group of student's from trampling them. The short girl had a lot of books in her arms more than she could probably carry without dropping them again. "Do you need some help with those books. I'm Alex."

He took most of the books and helped the girl back to her feet. "I got these, why don't you lead the way." She was about to protest, but Alex hurried her along through the crowd until they reached another classroom. He set the books on the desk and turned to leave. A timid voice spoke up..."Thank you Alex."

"Welcome." Alex left the girl in her classroom and headed down the hall finding his other classroom's before he went to search out the wood shop and art rooms. The wood shop was empty of student, but an younger woman stood at the back of the room in overalls and a tie-dye t-shirt, working on a saw. She looked up as Alex entered the room. The woman was the spitting image of the actress that played Kaylee on Firefly. Though her hair was a deep black, for some reason she made Alex want to smile. "Can I help you?" Her voice was kind yet firm.

"Um...I just wanted to check out the shop. I'm in the advanced course at fourth period. Alexander Mills." He kept his hands at his side and stayed near the door. He knew his size upset people sometimes, so it was best if he let people approach him.

"Well hi! I'm Jessie Redsen. I'm the shop and art teacher, you must be the new student that just transfered in. Your former teacher sent over some pictures of your work. I was really impressed." Alex finally took the offered hand. He talked with the friendly teacher and soon he was showing her some of his newer designs. She flipped through them and then stopped at his half finished picture of Adien. Jessie laid a multicolored nail on the picture.

"I see you've already met our Mr. Conner. You seem like a good kid, you should stay away from him. I'd hate for him to get you in trouble." Alex's half hidden eyes widened, but he kept quiet. The bell rang and Alex picked up the rest of his stuff heading out the door, with a thanks. He walked to his English class picking an empty seat near the back after he got the required materials from the teacher.

"So, this Saturday at the bowling alley around eight, right?" Aiden reassured as he talked it over with his friends about hanging out. They all agreed to the time and Aiden headed to his next period class through the busy traffic of school. Just as he was about to enter it, he saw Alex walk out but decided not to say anything to male since he seemed like he was in a hurry. He walked in quietly and sat next to his best friend, Omar, like always. The class filled up rather quickly

"Dude, did you see the new kid? He looks like the girl from the Ring with all that hair in his face." laughed Omar with a wide smile.

Aiden laughed as well, finding it too funny how Omar always found funny ways to describe people to him. "Haha, yeah, I actually had to sit to him first period. He was.. you know, alright looking.." from what Aiden saw, Alex was really handsome but he just wasn't one to give compliments easily.

Omar chuckled and rollled his eyes, "Pfft, sounds like someone is on crack!" he said out loud. The teacher looked their way but he was a pushover, who let his class do whatever they wanted.

Aiden chuckled, "I wish I was." he said, both of them started laughing their ass off. The two spent the second period talking like always and barely even completed their assigment for the day. The bell rang and the two got up to leave and accidently bumped into the girl with the glasses, "Exscuse you." Aiden said to the girl and walked past her. Omar just laughed and kept on with his friends.

Third period was P.E. which was uneventful. Aiden hated being in the sun but he did love to run. The sun just agrivated hims so much yet strangely he couldn't help but wonder how Alex did in PE with his sweater. Did he even take it off? Aiden pushed the thought in the back of his mind and kept on with walking the track around the football field.
He was glad when they went in to change back into his their clothes. He basicaly took a bath in cologne, excitied that it was lunch since he forgot to eat breakfast.
Once more, the bell rang again and Aiden rushed off to lunch to get to his usual table. His friends soon gathered there and they started to talk amongst themself but one way or another Alex got brought up.
Alex stirred a commotion since no one at the school didn't hide their face, they took pride in themself so that was why Alex seemed to bring so much attention plus he was the new kid.

The girl with the glasses whose name was Crystal was just paying her lunch and just had started going to her lunch table with the rest of her school friends.

English went off without a hitch, no one even noticing the new student. They were also reading one of his favorite books, All Quiet on the Western front. Alex had read it at least eight times, his own copy was falling apart. The scared comradeship that the main character shared with his fellow soldiers was something that he had always longed for. He had never even been given a hug by another person. Alex wrote down his homework in his planner and made his way out of the room when class ended and headed for the lunch room. He stopped at his locker taking off the jacket. He was still dressed in a long sleeve shirt that hid his arms. His hands were more visible now though so he kept them in his pockets.

Lunch was always the most awkward period of the day. Alex didn't really want to sit with anyone, but if you sat by yourself you were automatically considered an outcast. Sometimes there wasn't an empty seat and he was forced to sit with strangers who wanted nothing to do with him. He looked over the sea of students in the lunch room. The large student searched for an empty seat finding a table near the vending machines that was mostly unoccupied. He sat down and pulled out a sandwich, chips and a water bottle. Alex focused on his meal, and waited longing for the period to end.

With Alex being tall like Aiden, trying not to stand out was a difficult task so he certaintly got some looks by some very judgeamental people which was almost the whole school.

A joker who was very well known as the class clown of the school saw Alex. His name was Micheal and he loved to make the 'popular' kids laugh and he just saw Alex being the perfect target since they happened to be talking about him. Michael was shorter than the averager male height and had a almost bowl haircut and a bad overbite. He wasn't exactly the best looking guy in school. Micheal had been sitting with Aiden's table and he spotted Alex as he walked inside the cafeteria. "Speaking of the devil." Micheal laughed, nodding his head in Alex's direction and the whole table which about twelve people looked at Alex.
Aiden looked up and looked at Alex longer than he should have. He just reminded him of some gentle giant weirdly but he kept that comment to himself. "Atleast he finally took off the ugly jacket!" Michael said loudly, laughing like crack-filled hyena. His laugh just made everyone laugh. "Yo, watch this, guys." he said with a grin as he got up and wipied his hands on his pants to get the crumbs off of his fingers.

Most of the kids around the lunch watched Micheal since he always started some kind of funny riot to a person. He slid through the tables and approached Alex from behind. "Hey, big guy.." Michael started with a grin as he stood right next to him makng note of his scarred hands, "You know why don't you put your hair up?" he asked and without warning as his hands brushed most of Alex's hair from his face and reveiled the ugly scar on his face. Almost everyone was watching Michael's antques and everything grew deathly quiet.
Aiden could see horriable scars that even looked painful to look at. He couldn't help but think for the first time every since he first met Micheal, Micheal was just being a little mean.
"Well, well.." Micheal said as he released the hair from his grip and quickly slid up both of the sleeve, "Is that why you this shirt?" he laughed a bit.

Crystal did not get along with Micheal at all. He was too mean and cruel and she watched him carefully. Her heart almost cracked seeng how crude he was being to the boy who helped her earlier with her books.

Alex didn't notice the kid behind him until it was too late. His hair was moved aside showing the scars to the whole of the school. Then the kid touched his sleeves showing his arms. He grabbed the kid's arm and pulled him against the table pulling him close. "You want to stare at me, go right the FUCK ahead. If you touch me again I will kick your ass." He let go of the kid and got up from the table gathering his lunch stuff. He stood to his full height and tucked his hair behind his ears. "Well all of you get a good fucking look..." He walked out of the lunch room disgust on his face. People were ignorant, that little shit was proof of that.

Usually Alex didn't let it get under his skin, but he was exhausted and now he had no chance with the kid from his class. He walked back to his locker, grabbed his jacket and headed for the wood shop. He didn't make it half way down the hall when the large kid was stopped by the principal. "Mr. Mills, may I speak to you in my office please." He followed her to the office. Alex sat in the chair, his posture stiff. "Mr. Mills I was distressed to hear about the incident in the lunch room."

"You mean this." He brushed his hair back from his face. Letting the scars out in the open. "Or do you mean how I got harassed by a fellow student." He glared at the woman. How dare she drag him in for defending himself.

"Mr. Mills, I think you misunderstand me. I wanted to apologize for the other student's actions concerning your condition." Alex snorted at the last word.

"It's not a condition. They are proof that I survived the fire that killed both of my parents and left me homeless at six years old. I don't want any problems, I'm just trying to live my life. Ms. Richards, I need to get to my next class. Thank you for your help, but I'm fine." With that he left the office and headed for his next class before anyone else left the cafeteria.

Micheal instantly freaked out being pushed on the table and his breath hitched a bit. Now, he was scared shitless being the height he was and the male being tall as a tree. He didn't even dare to breath after Alex left him alone and departed from the lunchroom. A lunchlady told and some a dean was sent to suspend Michael from school for two days for verbal and physical harrasment.

The cafeteria was silent at first but then the noise level went down yet what just had happened was still fresh on everybodies mind.
Aiden felt bad but gentle giant for Alex was not an option that he would think of Alex as. His table didn't linger on the subject of Micheal long and they went on to discuss their plans for the weekend.
"I know this is mean and shit but it's whatever.. I think the big guy needs some lovin' and learn something" by that, he meant to go out with the boy and break his heart, "who here thinks Aiden could do it?" Omar said with a grin. Everybody laughed and almost everyone put their hand up that was at the table.

Aiden shook his head. As much as he loved attention, he thought that was enough for Alex to deal with. "nah, his hair is to long for me. I'd like for him to get a trim!" everyone laughed but the truth was Aiden thought Alex was pretty attractive atleast on one side. Aiden was mean and conceited but he wasn't exactly the cruel, cold-hearted type.

"Alright, how about this? You do it and I get you that bass system for your car, camera for your 'photography'" he raised both of his two fingers to quote photography and lowered his fingers, "and.. Hmm.. I'll paint your room!" See the thing was all this, Aiden was getting this for his birthday which was like three months away and he didn't want to wait that long and he knew that Omar had the kind of money to do it all.

Aiden sighed lightly and rolled his eyes, "Tch, fine. but you better pull through." he said quite seriously. Soon enough the bell rang and everyonen departed from the caferteria.

Alex walked swiftly to the wood shop and walked to the back of the room. He looked through the wood samples and found a large piece of African purple heart. It was the hardest type of wood on the planet and to carve it would take a lot of Alex's strength. He pulled out his own set of carving tools and set to work. The pattern was a celtic bear twisting into a moon of knots. Soon his muscles were moving under his shirt, showing his built body. His teeth were slowly clinching his jaw. A few silent tears skipped from his good eye. About half way through the work Ms. Redsen came up and put a gentle hand on his shoulder. "Mr. Mills, Alex are you alright?"

He stopped for a moment stilling his hands and dug is hands into the table top setting down his tools. His hair was covering the left side of his face. Alex turned to face his teacher letting her see the network of scars over the left half of his face. "I'm not having a very good day. That's all." Much to the credit of the art teacher she didn't even blink an eye at his appearance. "I just really wan to work on this, is that alright?"

She finally looked down at the half finished carving. Touching it reverently the teacher gasped in amazement at the quality of the carving. "Please continue. You truly have an amazing gift Alex. You're welcome here anytime you need to let off steam." Patting his shoulder she left to supervise the rest of the class.

Alex worked the tools into the wood commanding the shapes to come forth with every flick of his wrist. The bell soon rang signaling the end of the period. The piece in the boy's hands still needed work, but he put his tools and the wood into his bag so he could finish it at home. As Alex headed to his next class he gave the art teacher a soft smile.

The bet was on Aiden's mind. Sure, he done this type of bet before but he did it to a person that had it coming to them but Alex hadn't done a single thing. He soon pushed the subject to the side and willed himself to listen to the subject about how Shakespeare and his plays since there was a test on friday. He enjoyed literature, but phototgraphy class was his favorite class. A lot of his friends gushed over his photos but he didn't care for their opinions much but he did love the attention and compliments.

The bell rang and Aiden moved through the crowd like a slug. He took his time and yawned lightly as he made his way. People sort of made way for him which he liked because he hated being touched by strangers. He pulled out a thin red cellphone and started to text a few friends out of boredom since his class was a long way from where his previous class was. He kept his head bowed a bit to read as he received a few received texts. Texting and walking never mixed with Aiden and yet he still did it. He saw something at the end of his eyelashes, coming sortof right at him and before he had the sense to stop, they sort of crashed into eachother.

Aiden looked up slightly and saw it that it was Alex. His soft lips pursed lightly, the events of the cafeteria flooding his mind, mainly the scars were still on his mind. "Uh, my bad. I was caught up in a few texts.." He said gently, his blue eyes searching for eyes on the other behind the curtain of hair.

Alex's large green eyes caught the pale blue of the other student when they crashed into each other. "Sorry I wasn't watching where I was going." He had been looking at the room numbers trying to find his last class. The larger male moved past Adien and continued to look for the room. There was no hope in trying to be friends with the popular boy, especially after what happen at the lunch room. A few moments he found the room he was looking for. Much to his surprise to find the other boy and the girl that he had helped earlier that day both in the class. Sadly the only free seat in the room was between the two of them.

Alex silently took his seat and got his books. He kept his head low and silently took notes. After the class had been going for about ten minutes the large male felt something poking him in the arm. Turning her saw the girl passing him a note. Taking it and opening it up he read the message. 'Hi! Thanks for helping me this morning. I'm sorry about what happened at lunch.'

The wood carver didn't know what to say at that. Writing quickly, 'You're Welcome.' He passed it back to the girl on his left.

Aiden nodded at his apology and watched as the male maneuvered past him for a moment with a curious gaze. Aiden felt something in his guts for the other male that he never really felt before, but he either way he didn’t like it. It felt like something between guilt and sadness?
He swallowed lightly hoping that the feeling would pass and headed to his last period class. He sat down in next to a group of friends in his last period. Most of them were at from the lunch table. Aiden was sitting at the edge of the group, his back turned towards the glasses-girl since he was facing his friends as he talked about a party that a friend was throwing in Friday so he didn’t really see Alex come in class. It seemed like parties were more important than gossip. The teacher was pretty laid-back. She was a woman in her early thirties, and fresh out of college. She’d allowed the kids to talk as long as they had their notes finished before class ended and they did their worksheets.

Aiden placed his arm back on the desk thinking that no one was there when Alex was and accidently bumped his elbow into Alex’s forearm. He looked over his shoulder at first and inspected the male up and down, almost checking him out. “Sorry... I didn’t know you were there.” He apologized looking at Alex softly, usually he waited for the other person to apologize since Aiden thought nothing was his fault but there that ugly feeling in his stomach every time he looked at Alex. All those scars that decorated his skin were just ugly…
Aiden’s friends turned their heads to look at Aiden as he started to talk to the new student, remembering the bet that was made at lunch.

The doe-eyed girl took the message slowly in a gentle manner in her nimble fingers and hummed a little as she looked over at Alex in curiously as she heard Aiden’s voice. Her lips puckered in disappointment seeing Aiden. She wasn’t ugly or anything, quite adorable but her hobbies and her friends made into an outcast in school. She wrote on the paper silently, ‘Don’t talk to him. He’s trouble.’ was all she put before she slowly slide the note towards back to Alex discreetly.
