Well, I don't think you're the annoying type of fangirl who abuses the language to the point of insanity. I know a few people who can be like that. One of them has gotten a bit better since she's taking Japanese right now and we can hold relativelly comprehensible conversations in the language.

  Yes Anna, I don't think you have to worry. We only punch fangirls that use desu, baka, hai, kawaii and neko for their every other word. And claim to know how to speak Japanese when that's half of their whole vocabulary. : )

I used 'Nani' for my 'What' and I've been known to squeal 'Kawaii'. And my friends call me Neko-Sama, and my 'Yes' has transformed into a 'Hai'.

As long as you don't use them on Mene, you should be perfectly fine. Otherwise I shall fall upon thee from my cloud in the sky and punch you just like in that gif file. :o

I really don't get what's so wrong with using words from different languages in the middle of your English. Do you get mad at people for saying 'Hola' when they're not Spanish, too?

I think it's just the fact that the people who do it do it so often and with the whole cutesy voice which makes me want to punch babies. I think a large part of it is the fact that some think they know a decent amount of the language when they know next to nothing of the basics.

When people are mixing in other languages with in English, a lot of them actually tend to know the languages. It's just those that don't and continue to do so that annoy me to no end.

  Anna, no, not really. I do it sometimes too. It's just when people do it really.. obnoxiously. Doing it aaaall the time, and acting really showy about it. I have no problem with people who use the random word from different languages (as long as everyone around them understand it or can at least guess the meaning) as long as they just act natural about it and don't do it every time they have to use the word.
  And as I said, when they claim to actually know the language, when they know just a few words.

I also know a bit of Japanese. I actually started learning it BEFORE I was introduced to anime and manga. So, I'm like a statistical anomaly or something.

I don't see much point in sticking bits of romaji Japanese into my sentences though. Well, not often anyway....ne? >.>'

I decided to take Japanese before I started watching/reading also. Then over the summer before, I started with Blood + and it just spiraled from there. Now that I think of it, I shoudl go back and re-watch that series...
