thanks! im not sure if i am going to quilt it, tuft it or just use really big buttons to finish it off. what do you think? for that one anyways.

the other one im going to quilt... and its going to be a pain... i might get my boyfriends mom to do it. shes better at it. i just finished all the piece work on it. i still have an applique i want to add. and the boarders on both. plus the batting and the backing... *sigh* it seems like you get so far, but 5 hours just isnt enough work to get a quilt done.

me too. i was thinking maybe like really really big white ones... but i would have to make sure they are really securely sewn down. dont want a baby choking on one.

p.s. welcome hummy! are you going to join in our motivational posting to work out and get fit?

Yeah if it's for a baby for sure big ones. Then even if they came off they would be hard to choke on.

yeah, exactly. but the bigger the button, the more they cost. i wish i could make my own buttons. i totally would... but resin is complicated. i might try it though. maybe that will be my next crafty challenge. but then again, resin is also expensive...

wow! i could easily spray paint them white too. i dont know. these might be really worth it. i am always wanting big buttons for stuff.
thank you so much for the link!

also... i will admit, although i did work out for a solid half hour ... because i focused on my abs, i dont think im going to meet my goal today. i might see if i can do a half hour run to make up the rest... but i have like 200 calories left to burn... so not likely. but it snowed and that kept us home bound.

That's awesome. I wish I could quilt. There are several ladies in my church who quilt. One even does t-shirt quilts. And I find her price for a t-shirt quilt very reasonable. She told me it would be twelve dollars a shirt.

wow thats awesome! you should take her up on that. seriously. i am making these baby quilts basically by donation. so far.. its just been at cost for materials. labour has not been paid for at all... and no profit will be made in the slightest. but im having fun and i think that counts.

oh you should stay tuned to my blog to find out the backing fabric i found for the purple and blue quilt. its adorable!!! but im saving it for my blog.

also, I worked out hard core today. I walked to the gym, worked out there, walked home AND we walked around the mall looking for shoes for my man. over 500 calories worked right there!

I haven't been to the gym all week. I've worked everyday. I am going to save my pennies for it. I have a lot of anime shirts for my first quilt. Oh I'll need the link again to your site.

how much money are you going to need to do it? and how long does it take you to save? do you have a saving plan/goal? you should always keep that in mind you know? i make next to nothing, and i still have a savings plan... but i do not have enough for a retirement plan. im working on it... i just need more money for that. lol.

well i worked out today. ran for 20 minutes and then did ab crunches and some stand ups on the wii fit. got a little sweatier then i wanted to get though. oh well. what are you going to do? sacrifices and all that.
