I've never really played around with any except the standard farm. No real reason for it, just personal preference :)

It's a storefront called Good Old Games that I THINK is owned by the same people who developed the Witcher games, and mostly focuses on older games, but has a lot of newer stuff. I like it since their launcher is optional and their games don't have DRM measures like Steam does. :P

And yeah, I can't wait! I just have a bunch of fishing and seasonal or rare stuff to get for it... :sad:

Basically, the programs that companies put in their games in order to prevent piracy... but really just end up making it harder for legit game owners to play. The new Simcity requiring an internet connection, even when playing in single player, is one example. Though, I know of some games that will give you a limited number of installs... >>

Oh I hate the ones that give you a limited amount of installs! Like the Sims. One of the reasons why I'll never buy from EA Games ever again.

I agree with that I think if you own the game you should be able to install it wherever you want. PER IOD

The current buzzword is "games as service", where instead of treating a video game like a finished product (like, say, a book), publishers would rather it be a temporary service. Like a movie ticket, I suppose.

It's stupid and has kind of made me rethink buying new games, honestly. (Among other things, like being broke. :P) I'd rather go back and play older games than shell out 50 dollars or more for the sort of things popular companies try to get away with.

I just want to buy a game where I can enjoy it whenever I want, no strings attached. Why is that so hard for those greedy companies?

It really is a shame making money is more port important and relevant then making good product and sing your consumers i.e. Customers happy with your product. I think that would sell a lot more games than scam and you into buying more games if you wanna put it on more than 2two computers or gaming devices.

Sadly most companies are more about making money than the benefits of others.

That's super early HIM I'd probably just sleep until it was something like 1 in the afternoon before getting up. (other obligations aside)
