My perception of him would be in his 40's or early 50's as he's beginning to bald and is spectacled, according to Hina's perception. Men used to marry women much younger than them so I would picture his love as being a younger woman, maybe in her 20's, though women did marry as young as 16, and were considered old maids by their late 20's.
