Welcome, and Happy Winter's Nights

This is a gift exchange thread.

If anyone has ever participated in Secret Santa, or something of the sort, you
already understand the concept! If not, it's an exchange of gifts! You get one
from someone that you don't know, and you give to someone else anonymously.
It's a great way to both get a new, unexpected, item, as well as make some new
friends through the event!

This is a thread run jointly by Marguerite Blakeney and myself (BlackCart29), feel
free to ask us questions in this thread or in a PM!

Overview



-Sign up will be the first two days of the Winter event( December 22, 23). PM me
and post in the thread, with the completely filled out entrance form. This is
important! I need to edit you into the main post, but I might not catch it if you
don't PM me. Make sure the PM has the title Gift Exchange!

-After sign ups close, I will take a day (December 24th) to randomize the partners
and figure out just who everyone will be giving to. I will make this as fair as
possible by randomizing with my computer.

-After that, you will receive a PM from either myself, BlackCart30, or Marguerite,
stating the name of your exchange buddy. You have three days to stalk their
posts, look at their avis, and the picture they've posted of their inventory, in order
to figure out what's just right to get them. Stay within the 250g – 750g range
please!

-When you've selected your gift, trade it to BlackCart30 (my mule) with the name
of the exchangee, that way I know who to send it to! I'm filtering them
through my mule so that it remains anonymous, otherwise it wouldn't be
very secret!

-I will make the final trade from my mule to the gift receiver, hopefully before the
end of the winter event. Don't worry, you will definitely get your present, even if
we have to pull it from our own stores because your sender flaked! Honest!

You can take link to a screenshot of your inventory by pressing the PrntScrn button, opening MS
paint or a similar program, pasting, saving, and hosting on an image hosting site such as
tinypic.com. Then link that image in your form. I know this is a lot of work, but it's so that you
don't get an item you already have. If you don't want to do it, that's fine too – but understand the
risk you take!

F.A.Q.

I don't have enough gold! Can I still join?

Sure thing! If you don't have enough gold now, I bet you will by then end of the
event! As long as you post actively and play a few games! Or, you could send an
extra from your very own inventory! Have phoenix jubilee extras? Maybe a
Hallowe'en NPC item? I'm sure they'd be as happy to get that as any new
common.
