^_^ How was your trip?

It was extremely up and down to be honest. Some parts were good, others were completely terrible. I ended up having to leave early on the last day because I started feeling really sick which was a bummer. Overall it was fun but pretty bad compared to previous years. V_V

Well, I'm glad you had some fun at least. ^_^ Are you feeling better now?

Feeling a bit better though I'd feel a whole lot better if I had been able to sleep in these past few days... I live right next to a school so in the morning the whistle of the crossing guard wakes me up early. V_V Tomorrow I go back to work. Vacations are never long enough it seems. I should be able to get back to the roleplay later today, I've been trying to catch up on a few things.

It's all good. ^_^ *huggles* Yeah, I'm feeling a bit sleep deprived myself but otherwise things are good. My weekend was great, just way busy. ^_^

What did you do?

Went to a Christian rock concert on Saturday evening, came home from that and cooked for the pastor appreciation potluck on Sunday, had church Sunday (with yummy food after), and then church again Sunday night.

It was a really good weekend, better than I've had for a while. ^_^

*nods* Yep. Me too. The concert was our anniversary date. It's a few weeks early but it was too good to pass up. ^_^

That's not a bad way to do it. ^_^ My dad is coming to visit next month and my birthday present will be to go to a play I've been dying to see.

That sounds like fun. ^_^ We really couldn't justify the expense of the tickets otherwise so it works out that it was so close to our anniversary. ^_^

Yeah, I couldn't justify the expense either... Fortunately my dad bought the tickets for us. ^^;

I pretty much spent the weekend playing pokemon. ^^;

lol, sounds entertaining. ^_^ We just relaxed on Saturday and then went to church Sunday. My parents came through on the way home from vacation and we went out to eat with them before evening service, which was really cool since I hadn't seen them in at least 8 months or so. ^_^ It was a really nice weekend.

That sounds really nice. I've been trying to figure out if I can go home to visit my mom for Thanksgiving but I don't think I'll be able to do it. On the other hand I'm really looking forward to my dad's visit. I haven't seen him in two years. T_T

That's cool. We're planning to go to my grandmother's in Virginia for Thanksgiving. We do it every year. ^_^

Ooh, that sounds nice. Last year we did our own Thanksgiving just between the two of us which was interesting. I had such a hard time finding a turkey that was small enough for just two people though. ^^; I would have done ham instead but he doesn't like it. V_V

I don't like ham much either. ^_^' You could have done a chicken. ^_^ It's almost turkey-ish.

We eat too much chicken as it is. To be honest I'm sick to death of chicken.

*nods* That could be bad. We eat a lot of chicken too but I very rarely cook a whole one.

I've never actually cooked a whole one myself. Dealing with all those bones is just a pain. I usually prefer to get the little tenders which are easier to divvy up. Otherwise I get the thin sliced breasts or the whole breasts if there isn't anything else available. I never get the dark meat though. I'm a white meat person so no drumsticks for me! ^^;

I'm going to try to get to the roleplay this weekend but I can't promise anything for sure. Things have been pretty up and down here lately. My fiance will start his new job on Monday so I'm sure there will be an adjustment period with that. Before he worked from home but now he'll be going into the city and working in an office like me.

I prefer white meat as well but if I cook a whole chicken I will eat the dark meat too, or use it for soup. *shrugs* The bones are annoying but no worse than a turkey. ^_^

That's fine. I may not be able to check it until Monday anyway. ^_^ I'm glad to hear your feller got a new job. ^_^

I bought a boneless turkey breast for us which was nice. I'm waiting for it to be a bit closer to Thanksgiving and then I'll pick some up a few weeks before hand to try to avoid the last minute rush.

I hope it goes well but I'm not feeling entirely confident. I need to have more trust in him but I'm just a bit nervous because he doesn't always come off the right way and gets easily angered. V_V
