Hah, no way. Holding a weird post for more then 2 mins kind of hurts, have you tryed it? Usually people have to post for ten Min. Ten minutes with your hand in the air is really painfull. o__o

It may depend on what the pose is and who the audience is, but I think I would be fine with it. Probably nervous at first, but I would get used to it.

I'm not comfortable with how I look. I have too many scars that I don't want others to see so nope, though the people that are willing to pose for artists have guts.

No, I have never done this but I would definitely not be comfortable doing it either. D:
Minimal clothing would be one thing but definitely not showing any private areas. :/

From the way models tell me of their experiences, it seems like a rather interesting thing to do. However, I have a couple problems. I'm insanely modest and I wouldn't be able to stand/sit still for too long. If not for those issues, though, I'd model for a figure drawing no sweat. :D

I think the biggest problem ( cause I was considering posing nude) would be keeping still for such a long time.... I would go crazy... But the human body is beautiful, in all it's shapes and sizes. Most of the models I have come across in my art classes, etc have not been perfectly shaped (ie thin) and that is so much the better for the artist! The curves are great when painting!!!

So throw caution to the wind everyone, and strike a pose.

I've drawn others posing, but I've never posed for anyone else. I guess I'd have to work over a little bit of stage fright before I did it myself!

... I feel like the odd one out here. Yes I have... it was for a friends photography class in college. She needed live models and she wanted to do something that most others wouldn't try which was capturing the human form doing it's most mindless of tasks. IE: Bathing, cooking, watching t.v., petting a dog.. etc etc etc. I was scared out of my mind xD The whole time i was like "... People are going to see this! They are going to be like "Why'd she pick that guy?!" .. o.o luckly she kept to her word and retained my annonimity.

I have thought about posing nude for a college art class. I think it would be an experience and not to mention, an honor to have people draw you is quite extraordinary!

I haven't done it for an artist, but I do A LOT of nude modeling for alt-porn sites. I even run my own. I have a bunch more shoots scheduled this month too =3 I love to do it

As long as it's done in good taste then I would like to try it. Even better if I end up with that special someone who is artistic. :)

That's pretty cool. :) I am way too shy for that kind of thing, but more power to someone who can.

If the opportunity came up I probably would. I've drawn enough nude figure work that I think I would be ok with sitting in front of a class, but I don't think I could ever sit for an artist in their studio. Too much scrutiny.

I would do it for one of my art friends that I felt close with. Other than that, I'm a bit too shy for that sort of thing.

For me it would really depand on who is the artist... I wouldn't jump at some sicko's request to sit naked in front of him/her for hours - or even a minute, where in the fine artist's presence I would feel ashamed of my body. So for me it has to be no.

i have posed clothed many times, but just recently i was asked to pose nude. still have not done it, but i am waiting for a date as to when i can do it. i am actually looking forward to this very much :] it seems fun and freeing. i am a bit of a self conscious type myself, but i think i have a nice enough body so it's about time for me to feel comfortable in it :D

lol I wouldn't be able to do it. Like a lot of people here already put, I only want my lover/special someone to see me nude.

I've drawn a couple nudes before in class but don't see doing that myself. It's not really about my body image but the full exposure. I don't think I could keep one pose long enough either. I've got the patience, its my body that gets stiff and achy.

Yep.
I pose for art students at the local college and for art/nude photographers.

Its a hobby/part-time work gig.

;) I rather enjoy posing to students to see the work they come up with, its really neat to see someones vision of you.

I post my modeling portfolio on DA, I draw too but not for the internet to see XD

If you guys ever want a female forms to draw from I have plenty of stock to choose from :O

I think everyone shoot try it once, esp in front of a camera. It really helps with confidence and self-esteem.
