Racing weekend is officially over.

We took my sister and her hubby to the airport in Dallas, and we are now in the RV, heading back to Austin.

My hubby is ready for the local tracks to open already. i'm thinking give it break already!

It would be nice for a little down time, but on Thursday, hubby's daughter and her family are coming.
They'll be with us for a week.

But we're so excited to see them.
Gotta spoil those grandkids!

I never had kids.
Hubby had 2.

His daughter had moved in with us when she was 13 (going on 35).
lol...now she really IS 35, and has 2 kids.

His son lives in Minnesota, and he also has 2 kids.

So that makes 4 grandkids.

Cool! how old are the grand babies?? :lol:

Wow. That's interesting that both his kids had kids.

lol, yeah....he had 2 kids, and each kid had 2 kids.
Not only that, he had a boy and a girl, and each kid has a boy and a girl.

The ones that are coming are from Alaska, and they're 9 and 6.
The ones in MN are 4 and 2.

Both those places are quite cold!

I know!
And we stay in Austin, even though we have no family here.
Hubby hates the cold!

Ha, that's kind of funny. I don't mind cold, but I hate when it's really warm. So why am I in Florida?

I actually handle the cold better than the heat too!
But...he likes it here, and the house is paid off, so here is where we stay.

Oh, that's nice that you're house is paid off. That can be quite hard.

We worked hard to do it...
Fewer vacations, less eating out...

It's definitely worth it if you plan on staying in an area for many years.

Actually, after we retired, we realized we could go live anywhere we wanted to.
But it's just so easy to stay here and not move.

Well, as long as you're happy where you are, that's all that counts.

Actually, I'd rather be up closer to family, but that's OK.
As long as we're together....

But if anything happened to him, I'd be gone in a flash.
