"Maybe...think back to that night? Whatever caused you to activate your semblance then, might help you reactivate it now," Areku suggested. It was the only thing that he could think of honestly.

"I've never really known what activated it then." Hikari said thoughtfully. "Is it different for everyone? Activating their semblance? What...how do you do it?" She asked.

Ark shrugged at that. "I never got a chance to learn how to unlock my Semblance. I was going to learn it but then well...let's just say I don't know what my semblance is. Yet," was all that he replied. He didn't want to talk about how his family was massacred.

"Oh. I didn't realize that. Sorry." Hikari said, embarrassed. "Uhm...okay, well I guess I'll start with trying to remember that night. It was probably fear that triggered it then, so if I can tap into that maybe..."

"You're fine Starlight," Areku commented. "And I'll tell you about it one day. Promise," he added before heading to the side of the room as she started muttering to herself as to how to activate her semblance.

Hikari gave him a grateful smile. "You don't ever have to tell me if you don't want to." She responded, before closing her eyes to focus. She tried to remember that night, the fear she felt. The memories were close to the surface thanks to Itachi-sensei's help, so it didn't take long. Pulling her fear to the forefront managed to stir a strange yet familiar feeling, but no fire appeared. She scowled and focused harder. If it wasn't fear, then what was it? What else had she been feeling that night?

"I will keep that in mind" Areku said with a small smile on his face as he watched her for a while. Seeing her focus and try to recall the emotions of that night, he stayed silent until he saw looks of frustration starting to come through.

What else...what else? Hikari repeated the images in her mind over and over, trying to name the feeling that had sparked her semblance that night. Finally, after concentrating for several minutes, her eyes flew open. Got it! She'd figured out what else she'd felt that night, simmering underneath the fear that had ruled her. It wasn't emotion, but instinct that had driven her. The sheer will to survive. Determination. Once she had isolated the feeling, her semblance sparked to life around her, her whole body suddenly engulfed by flames- black flames, tinged with blue at the edges. The flames started to engulf the area around her, leaving only her silhouette visible in the blackness, almost as if she had become part of the fire. With a yell, Hikari managed to pull he flames back before any more damage could be done. She fell to her knees in the center of a charred ring of floor, breathing heavily. "Well...I think I...figured out...how to activate it..." She panted. "Now I...just have to learn...to control it..." She took a few deep breaths. "Something's strange, though. The fire that I made just now, it was different from the one I made back then." It was different from the fire she'd made earlier that day, as well.

Areku was shocked when he saw Hikari disappear into the black and blue flames, but didn't hear any screams of pain so stayed still. Sure, he was alarmed, but he also knew that his girlfriend could take care of herself. Hearing her yell and the flames disappear, Areku quickly made it to her side with worry and concern shining through his eyes.

Seeing her fall to her knees, he was about to ask if she was alright before hearing what she said. 'It was different than before?' he thought to himself. 'And also different from earlier...' he noted before Hikari said it outloud. "Perhaps...it has something to do with your consciously doing it versus subconsciously? Or maybe different colors of the flame wield different results?

Hikari nodded. "Maybe." She said, sitting back on her bottom. "I'll just have to find out as I learn. Now that I know how to activate it, maybe Yang-chan can help teach me."

"She would definitely be the best to learn from," Ark replies. "But I think we should head back to our friends. I'm sure Naruto is worried to death about us."

Hikari nodded and gathered her strength to get up. "Good idea. At this point, Maya-chan has probably already gone to Itachi-sensei to find out what happened to us."

"I wouldn't be surprised. I just hope Blake doesn't want to kill her boyfriend when we get back" Ark said with a smirk.

Hikari chuckled. "It does take a lot of patience to deal with Naruto-san." She agreed.

"I'm kinda curious how she deals with him, to be honest" Ark says with a light laugh. He was also glad to see that Hikari was doing much better now.

"I'm sure if anyone can handle him, it's Blake-chan." Hikari said.

Areku laughed at that, nodding in agreement. "Perhaps we should go back out to meet up with them? Just so that they aren't worried about us?"

"Right." Hikari nodded, taking his hand and starting off to find their friends.

Ark grins lightly before taking her hand and heading back to their team and Team RWBY, hoping that no chaos has befallen them during their absence.

Meanwhile, Naruto was pacing in the courtyard. "They've been missing too long. I say we go look for them." He said, for probably the twentieth time that hour.

"Naruto, trust your teammates. They're with Itachi-sensei, they'll be fine." Blake said before seeing both Ark and Hikari heading out of the school and heading back to them.

Naruto jumped up, and had to be physically restrained from tackling his team mates. Surprisingly, it was Weiss who stopped him, grabbing the collar of his shirt and pulling him back.

"Calm your tail, fox boy. Can't you see your leader's limping? The last thing they need is a yapping puppy jumping on them." Weiss said coolly.

"Hey Naruto, girls," Areku replied, wondering what was going on.

Naruto crossed his arms and glared at Weiss, but quickly forgot his ire when his team mates finally reached them. "Hey, where were you two? We were starting to get worried!"

Hikari gave a patient smile. "We were talking to Itachi-sensei, and then we did a little training. I'll tell you all about it if you want."

Seeing the way Naruto was looking at the two of them, Hikari was going to have to tell them what happened while they were training. Plus it would be a good way to start talking to Yang
