Hello, I posted in the thread in the G.D I have Generalized Anxiety + a few other disorders but the anxiety and a sleeping disorder I have are the problems I struggle with mostly.

Goblin Maiden: Hello and good morning, I am drinking some caffeine to wake up at the moment, lol.

Yes caffeine! I have a can of monster to wake me up, coffee is also good though. I don't have much planned for today except to pick up some stuff, maybe play some games or go outside and clean out my car before it gets to cold out here.

What are you doing today?

Ahh, cool cool. C: Today I'm going out shopping. I need a few new plain t-shirts, 'cause my older ones are, well, getting kinda old-looking. And also I'll be looking for a nice dressy-dress for a ballet I'm going to later this month. :D

And then I'll work on finishing sewing up this bear I just knit and then I'll felt it.

Wow a ballet, that sounds interesting what's that like? Who's the bear for or is it just for fun? my gf also likes to make things sometimes, she tried to show me how once but I forgot all of it. XP

The ballet is from the Martha Graham dance company... I dunno, it'll be like modern dance, I think, from this particular company at least. C: Should be good, I love watching dance.

The bear is for my nephew who was just born. C: Haha, does she knit or sew or what?

Hello, ^.^ Glad to see my thread is able to survive if I'm not on.

A bear? When my niece was born one of the first things she got was a cellphone...
Well... any cellphone she could get ahold of anyways

Lol. A sleeping disorder, yet you drink Monster. I can imagine that the Monster is taxing on your body and is what keeps you up at night, if that's the problem you have.

I've noticed that Pweep... caffeine and technology have made it nearly impossible to sleep.

For me my insomnia is because my brain wont turn off... :(

Poet usually feels like this when sleep comes:

Maiden: That sounds cool & it's nice of you to make a bear for your nephew. My gf sews things by hand or machine, she likes to make weird stuffed creatures and she made me a pillow as a gift once.

Pweep:
I do have insomnia sometimes but the major issue I have is that I have delayed sleep phase disorder, I really shouldn't be drinking Monster because of my anxiety, but sometimes I have to force myself awake, plus they're addicting. :)

Poet: that comic, I know how that feels, lol.

Oh, cool, Scathe! :D

I LIIIIIVE. XD It's way early for me to be up, but I woke up about an hour ago and couldn't get back to sleep, so I was just, "To heck with it" and got up anyway. :P Now I'm finishing up making an English sing-along lyrics video.

How're peeps?

What's the English sing-along video for?
I'm good; awake in the day and having another can of Monster ._. huh.

So I have a question for the people with Mental Illness, how do you guys deal with it when people tell you there's nothing wrong with you? Or has anyone told you that? Do you tell people you have it at all?

Well Scathe... the truth is there IS nothing wrong with you if you have a mental illness. It's all perspective.

It merely means you have to live your life differently. Like for aspergers it just means having a smaller group of friends and less time socializing and stuff.

My family has actually been saying there is "nothing wrong with me" but I plan to just get an official test someday and rub it in their face
(Not literally...)

Mostly people try to be understanding/accepting when I tell them I have depression/anxiety. Of course, I don't just go all, "Hi, I'm Mai and I have depression." Like, it's gotta come up naturally, when something along the subject comes up AND I feel that it would be okay based on how they've been acting and such.

When people DO go all, "It's all in your head," I try to act like it doesn't bother me. But in reality it does. A lot. I've gone through some pretty tough times because of my depression... they obviously don't know what it's like, so I try to give them the benefit of the doubt. If it really upsets me, I try to talk with them about it, just like, "What you said seemed kind of harsh" and such. If they still don't get it, but they don't mean any harm, then I let it slide and just go and comfort myself with food and anime. *that's how I roll* :P

But yeah. That's my experience. :)

EDIT: It bothers me if they act like everything I've gone through is invalidated and doesn't mean anything because "it's nothing serious" or whatever.

Ugh my family has done that "It's all in your head" but all my research shows I'm different. Funny thing is, my brother, who is one of the people who says it's all in my head, might have the same "disorder" XD

Sometimes people can't see things in themselves... for me, even though I sucked at perceiving others' emotions and such, I was really good at evaluating my own. Weird, right? :P

I don't know what I'd've done without my mom being there for me. She's been the most able to understand me and support me through this. <3

My best friend (who diagnosed me with the same thing she has) is my main support, my ex laughed in my face when I said it... so yeah... she's been my only support.

That's the trick. Anyone who isn't disabled is still unique, allowing for anyone to post. It just allows for people to ask about it without as much worry.

*looks at signature* Well being capable of growing babies is unique for sure! XD how goes the growing?
