Aww that's so sad. But i love meat sooo much!
I think i saw a episode of Oprah and like it was about chickens kept in cages with 3-4 other chickens in it - never able to spread their wings or anything. And pigs also, kept locked up in a cage no bigger then itself. Poor thing.
I'm sure not all of them are subjected to that kind of cruelty though. I mean i certainly hope not >_____<. But it is just enough to put you off lol.

I still think it would be nice if slaughterhouses would be more humane and treat the animals with more care before they died. Its just cruel with how they're treated. I know its a big wish, though, since that would take a lot of attention and way more space to fit them all.

That's true. Why can't they do it like the good old days? Have them in a paddock and then kill them when they least expect it? Least they got to graze in a paddock and stuff ...

I think I remember hearing of that Oprah episode but I don't think I watched it.
I can only imagine how sad I would be from watching that footage. ><

Even though I know how cruel those situations are I would still continue eating meat because it is such a key part of my lifestyle. I think that aside from being a vegetarian one would need to be an activist against animal cruelty to make more of a 'difference'.

I agree with your last part. If they really wanted to make a difference, then they'd have to do more than just not eating meat. That doesn't do anything.

And I couldn't give up meat either. Its a food that I eat most often, and I really enjoy it

Maybe you can approach the topic from your perspective? =O Avoid going about it in a way that's saying, "Hey! You've changed! Stop it! You're being stupid!" and implicating that it's her fault (since people get even more defensive when they feel they're attacked, even if it is their fault really =\). You know this is so strange, but i was talking to my life coach the other day, and he said the same thing about my relationship with craig lol. He said that i should stop attacking him and being negative. Instead find a optimistic positive way of approaching him, and i will find that he opens up and listens to me. He was sooo right! xD
Though, i'm just not sure how i'm going to approach my friend about this.

I suppose people have to make money one way or the other, and they have to cut costs. It's sad, but true. I mean i'm sure we'd all like to give these animals a good life - but if them having a good life costs more money. Then i can see why people take the other option sadly >______<.
