@Zephi- My hair is really hard to dye too... and expensive.
My hair is like a sponge and takes about three times as much dye as normal hair.

I bleach my hair at home all the time.
Or more correctly my step-dad does.
The hardest part is rinsing it off.

Then when died the other color should stick better.

Yep, it takes the color much better after bleaching.
Plus without bleaching you can only add tints or go darker. You can't dye lighter

When I get out I'll have all kinds of strange colors... like... blue... or purple.. lol

Manic Panic is a great dye. Nice colors, stays in, cheapish, and it is actually good for your hair.

My brother has had all the colors of the rainbow in his hair at one point or another.

I've had red, blue (often), white, teal, pink, purple, and the teal ended up fading to green within a week.
Bleached and dyed my hair blond for about a week and dyed it black last August for school.
So I've had pretty much every color too.

Always wanted to do a bright green or yellow.

The only color I haven't done is orange and I hate orange.

My brother went to do red one time but it turned out hot pink.

The only time I've had pink hair it was just my bangs.
I have to say that hot/bright pink was one of my favorite colors though. It starts out all bright and wonderful and fades to a wonderful pale pink.
Some colors fade very poorly. Like green, it fades and looks like chlorine stained your hair.

I was trying to come up with an outfit for the event.
I ended up putting some of the items from my art contest on.

Yup. I think I will go with a really light or bright blue, with maybe blonde hair, or black... so the blue will be down at the bottom. I guess I'll have to bleach the tips first and then go with a blue. Or maybe a gold! That would be cool... or silver. Hmm... so many possibilities.

I always loved black hair with blue steaks/chunks/tips.
I suggest the first time you dye your hair that you dye it your favorite color. That way it means more to you.
The first time I did mine I got really thin blue streaks throughout my hair and loved it because I love blue. I've done blue at least 10 times. But through the years I have branched out to other colors. I'm not a big fan of pink but did it for the shock value and ended up liking it.

But my favorite color is green. maybe if it were an emerald green, something really dark, but shiny, that might be ok, with like really dark or black on top? I just keep picturing me with a ponytail and green poking out the back :lol:

Manic Panic has two different dark greens and I think they both look nice. Enchanted Forest and Green Envy.
I always wanted to try Enchanted Forest and Electric Lizard. But they didn't have them at our beauty supply store. Or at least while I could dye my hair.
