Well don't get me wrong i'm happy with my entry. I just wish i hada used the zombie skin, to get the effects of the sickly feeling. Ya know, pale, drowsy sunken lookin eyes etc. I dunno why i didn't go with my instincts on that one. Don't laugh at my description, i suck at writing things xD.

Disease: Scarlet Fever

Is a disease caused by exotonix released by streptococcus phyogenes. (very bad version of strep throat).
Symptons Include: Sore throat, Fever, bright red with strawberry appearance Rash. Fine red, rough and textured, flakes of skin peeling off. It is stated that any many cases, scarlet fever effects majority of the body, though it leaves the face unscathed. - Wikipedia

Description:
I have dressed my avatar in the colours red, white & grey to portray the description of Scarlet fever.

Like a rash it's patchy, it's been described as the colour & texture of a strawberry (a strawberry is red but with pips) The colour's white & grey are representing these pips or patches.
The surgical mask around the face symbolizes that this disease is contagious (air born). The white smoke represents the human soul - we are not immune, we are not immortal. The red petals represent one of the diseases characteristics (flaking of the skin). I've made sure that the entire body is covered in red and white/grey, apart from the pale skin colour of the face which according to the characteristics of the disease "the entire body can be effected but almost always leaves the face unscathed". The pretty items that i've added in - The ribbon, the crown etc - Represent Happiness, because although this is a disease it is curable by a simple dose of antibiotics. The light at the end of the tunnel. :)

The white skin suits perfectly as white is pale, xD just extreme pale.
