We can get student loans depending on where you go to school. The government may be able to give me some money but probably not enough. Its 8k for the 10 month course. I'm "lucky" I guess in that every job I've had for the most part I have been at for over a year. My current one I just hit 2 years, my last one was around 3 etc... but I still don't think that's a good judge. They don't know if you had to leave because the company folded, or because you had to move or any number of reasons. Employers are funny that way I suppose.

Ahh, we met online. His name is Rob, he works in the printing industry at the moment. But it's not really his area of expertise. But it's the first job he could get when he came back from living in Australia. He's 5 years older then me, but i like it that way and he has a 2 year old daughter. But she lives in Australia with his ex.

Canadian :cry: lol. But yeah the graphic design course I was looking at was about 10k a year for 3 years... so its almost on par with 1 year of that. Hell my bf's schooling is only about 9k for the year at university lol. My parents aren't so much rich as in they've recently taken out a huge consolidation loan for all their credit cards and to renovate the house, so they have extra now that I can borrow and not worry about interest. Especially since their interest rate to pay it back is so low. Hahah yeah I'm kind of worried about that since generally I have to get at least 6 - 7, but because of the shifts I'll be working I should only have to run on that amount of sleep 3 out of the 5 days I'm at school and on weekends I can sleep in. So 3 days a week isn't so bad I 'spose.

Hahaha I know right! Dude it was insane, he lost his license for reckless driving at 85 or something so he bought an electric scooter because technically you don't need a license for that but you can still drive it on the road so he was driving that around. He was a sly old fox.

Ah that's not so bad, a job is a job and its good he's at least of the mindset that I have to work and even though this isn't what I want or am trained to do, I'll do it until I can find something better. I know to many people that are not like that. My boyfriend being one of them. There are jobs he claims are beneath him. Makes me so mad sometimes, there's no shame in flipping burgers or pumping gas if you have to, to make ends meet. Ah wow, do you find it weird being with someone who has a kid? I've never been in that situation before is it different than dating someone without or is it pretty much the same?

lol well you never know you might be able to say that to a company and they get it. There are times when people just need to own it to being young. We all do sily things and if yours was I didn't feel like working because I was bored or whatever the case may be maybe a new employer might understand you're not the same person. Who knows eh.

Yeah there is really no point in spending a ton of money on things like knives unless 1 you're a chef or 2 you can really afford it. If it has everything you need and its decent for now that's definitely good enough. I have a crappy block set which has served me well these past few years, but I'm super happy with the chef knife and perring knife I got. They're scary sharp... one could say you could cut up a human with it... BWHAHAHAHAHAAH

Exactly. I feel the same. Having messed up my job history by not being serious enough. I now know how hard it is to get a job, and how even harder it is to keep it. You don't really know how it is, or what you'll do for work, until you don't have one for a long time lol. At the moment i'll do anything xD. Money is money, and you have to earn it to live. Simple as that. What does your bf do??

Um, it's hard. But i guess i can be thankful for the fact that she's in a different country. It's not really the kid that's hard, especially at a young age like that. It's the ex that's hard. That's what i found challenging. Especially since Rob is so guilty over the way he treated her for 6 years (Coz he's an ex alcoholic) that he refuses too be nasty to her, or tell her straight up to piss off. Plus he's generally a peace loving kind of guy, so he finds any confrontation hard. And i guess at one stage it made our relationship pretty shaky. But i guess part of the reason it was so hard for me, was my trust issues because of my past. But i'm learning to overcome them. We have a pretty good relationship now, with a bit of give and take.

Ahh well i definitely hope so. Here's hoping someone will take an interest in me. And it won't just be a mediocre crap job lol. -prays-

lolol yeah kind of, there are more bursaries though and depending on what province you live and how you do in school some of the debt can be forgivable and the government will pick up the tab... but it aint cheap! Hahaha I know eh loans can be a girls best friend, sometimes >.< nuuuuuu all week would be freaking insane! I doubt I could do it, especially since if I get less than 6 hrs a night I'm normally just not capable of being up for more than about 12hrs and I need to be up for more than that a day. Getting up in the morning isn't hard for me but I"ve been doing it for, forever. Almost every job I've ever had was a day job and even when it wasn't I would get up usually no later than 9 or 10. I'm definitely a morning person I can be extremely tired as soon as I get up and by the time I'm finished brushing my teeth I'm chipper and awake. Kinda sick when you type it out lol.

OooOOOOoooOO verry verrrry nice. Awww no way!!! lol my hair is super straight so even when I cut it myself (which I do quite often) it never turns out reallly really bad lol. I totally agree, money is money and if you need a job you take what you can get until something better comes along. My bf does not work right now I'm paying all the bills since he's in school. We talked though and he has another 2 weeks to find a job and be working at it at least 2 - 3 times a week because I'll need him to start helping with the bills once I start school.

Hm I can see where he's coming from but even so, if it was 6 years and then they finally broke it off its kind of her own fault too. It takes 2 to tango and she could have left at any time, so him putting himself down or refusing to be firm with her and what not is not going to help anything and is almost silly when it comes to his happiness now... especially if he got help is no longer that person and obviously has someone in his life now (you <3 ) That's great to hear your relationship is going well so far then! I definitely get where you come from with trust issues and those are not easy in any way to overcome but day by day eh it gets better :3

Lols yeah i'd be exhausted. I dunno what it is, but i always need hours and hours of sleep? Maybe it's because im a diabetic or something ... I've been trying hard not to feel this way, but it's been super hard. Even with the healthy eating and exercise etc. Lol, yeah that's the same with me, it's usually a shower that does it. Which reminds me i think i might have one now, coz i have uni work to do, but i'm sitting here feeling all lethargic lol.

I wish my hair was straight!! I straighten mine all the time, coz i hate my curly hair lol. But the hair dye did wonders for my hair, made it all nice, and looks much fuller lol. Ahh yeah i can imagine, my friend did that once she looked like mortisha from the adams family xD.

Yeah that's what i said. She was stupid enough to stay with you so long through it all. It's not only your burden to bare. She contributed just as much as you did. She was horrible, always angry and nasty. But the story is (i may aswell tell ya)... That he got in a car accident, and hit his head. And for months afterward he would get really terrible headaches, and that's when the heavy drinking started, he thought it would numb the pain. In amongst that, he met his ex online (she's from Australia). He thought that if he had someone that cared for him and to hold at nights, things won't be so bad for him. This is mistake number one!
Because 1. He never found her that attractive and 2. He was never in love with her. But ... He made her move over from Australia to be with him. So this is where the guilt starts.... They were together for 6 years; In that time he tryed multiple times to break it off with her, but being with someone that long its hard to just end things and walk away. And Rob has this thing where he'd rather sacrifice his own wants, if it's going to hurt someone. So he would keep holding onto her too, even when she threatened to get her brother to beat him up coz he was gonna leave her and all this other crap.
But anyways after about 4.5 years she kept nagging him for a kid. He never wanted to have one with her, but he felt that he owed it to her. Because he had been with her so long, and he felt guilty over the years of abuse he had inflicted on her (drinking, spending all the money etc etc). So they planned it, and ended up having a wee girl. She's gorgeous by the way. Has his blonde hair and blue eyes. Thank god, coz her mother is not attractive in any way. And i'm not being nasty, it's the truth, she's lucky she looks more like her father lol.

Anyway, Then she decided she wanted to take baby over to Australia for a visit to her family etc. So she went on holiday. Rang him after a certain amount of time being over there, and said that she wasn't coming back, and that if he wanted it to work he'd have to move to Australia. So in order to be close to his daughter he did ... But after 3 months it never worked out, and he ended up coming home. And he suffers tremendous guilt for his daughter. He misses her big time, but she doesn't know him. When she came to visit with her aunty, she would cry when he would go near her. It's heartbreaking, coz you can see how much he thinks about it, and how much he wishes that she was here.

I guess i have trust issues with him, because when she heard about me she started texting him and calling him a lot. And it really did do my head in. She even told one of his older brothers that she was jealous. And i guess what irritates me a lot about Rob is the guilt that he has for his ex and his daughter. Because he cannot tell her straight, too stop contacting him unless it's about his daughter. Cause she would just ring up and talk to him about anything and everything. He's got no balls to tell people how it is. In that sense he's gutless. And i guess i can understand why it took him so long to walk away from her. He feels this way about everyone, he can't just be straight with people. He'd rather lie to them, then tell them the truth. And i know that he's trying to be nice, but what good comes from lying? You only get yourself tangled up in more problems.

But yeah we're alright. I love him so much. I hope things work themselves out.
