With a sigh, she looked up at the sky. "So, how do I do this?" She asked. "Do I just--" Before she could finish, a bolt of lightning shot down, striking the ground only a few feet of way from her. She screamed, backing up several feet and, in her panic, causing another bolt to shoot down. Diah immediately moved in, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her back as yet another bolt followed.
"Calm down," he urged, stroking her hair. "Calm down and they'll stop." She closed her eyes and the sky calmed, though she herself was quite shaken up. "Well I think we've established she has no control over that one."

Isaac was laughing like a fool, "No no, it's brilliant, most can't even summon the energy." He said once he'd gathered his composure again, more or less. "Do it again!"

Both Diah and Carol immediately yelled back, "NO!"
"She could've gotten herself hurt!"
"That scared me half to death!"
Diah sighed. "She won't be using that one again until she has more control over herself and there's absolutely no danger of her accidentally striking herself, or one of us."

"I won't let her be hurt, you forget, I've mastered this element quite well." A bolt of lightening shot down and with a flick of his writs it turned before hitting the ground, swirling around him like a streamer. He let it shoot skyward again. "Do it again." He instructed.

She looked up at Diah, who sighed and gently pushed her forward. "He won't leave it alone 'till you try again," he muttered unhappily.
Uncertaintly, she looked back up at the sky. Almost immediately, a bolt shot down and she jumped back, terrified as it stuck the ground. "Try again," Diah urged gently. She took a deep breath and once more tried to direct it. This time she managed to pull it up just before it hit and send it off back towards the sky.

"Good, very good. I'll let it rest at that. Which were you the most comfortable with?"

"Well the fire burned me, the rock didn't like me, and I'm terrified of the lightening. That leaves just air and water."

"And which of those is easier?" He asked, pulling more water from the fountain and spining it around her.

"I guess the water," she answered, directing the water back at Isaac.

"Try using the energy you used on wind on the water. If you do it right, it'll freeze."He said as he pulled a sheet of water from the fountain as a shield, sending the water shed send his way to the ground. He gathered it, condensed it, and froze it again. He threw it, putting a good sized dent in the stone wall.

"You shouldn't damage Jin's property," she said simply before pulling over a rather large amount of water over to her. She split it into two watery chunks, freezing one half and letting it drop, and sending the other half straight into Diah's face. She laughed loudly as Diah stared at her in shock, dripping wet.

"I don't think Jin will care." He said, smirking at Diah. "Let's make you an attack out of that. Try shaping them as small spikes, freezing them, and shooting them. It's a fairly convenient attack, and a simple one to manage, but try to draw the water from the air, rather than the fountain. It's a little harder to do."

It wasn't particularly hard for to pull water from the air, and she had an easy time freezing it. Unwilling to use Diah for a target for something to could actually hurt him, she shot the ice spikes at a nearby tree, then immediately felt guilty.

"Don't worry, nothing lives in hell, don't look so upset. Actually, you should be careful, some trees might fire back." He stood and stretched. "I've scattered targets already, each has five hits before it turns black. Bring me the black disks when you've finished."b

She rolled her eyes. "Come with me, Diah?"
He shook his hair, water spraying everywhere. "No! You got me wet!"
"Vengeful little angel, aren't you?" She grumbled before flying off while Diah went to find a place to dry off.
She returned several hours later and dropped the disks in front of Isaac. "I actually didn't have a hard time with the first ones, but I couldn't catch the last one for the longest time."

"Tricky little bastard isn't he..." Isac said affectionately as he returned them to their usual size and pocketed them. "Get some rest, we're heading to Annet's in a few hours."

These repetitive days were starting to drive her nuts. With a sigh, she headed back to her room to, once again, sleep. Diah was laying across the bed, a book opened on the pillow. "I see you got dry," she commented as she laid next to him.
"I see you caught all the targets."
"Congrats to us both."

A few hours later Isaac came to the door, "Carol, time to leave."

Carol was curled up next to Diah, her arm thrown over his waist. He looked up at Isaac before gently shaking the sleeping girl awake. "Hm?" She mumbled, slowly opening her eyes.
"We're leaving."
"Oh...alright..." Stetching, she got to her feet, running her fingers through her hair.

"Marcus will be here in about ten minutes to pick us up, be ready to go by then and meet me at the front gate."

Her outfit shifted to a simple black t-shirt and blue skirt as she hunted for a brush. She finally found one and ran it through her hair, Diah watching boredly. Once she had finished with her little womanly habits, she and Diah headed downstairs and out to the gate.

Marcus pulled up and Isaac held the door for them. "You know Carol, Jin -is- a demon, his idea of a peaceful world is one obtained through bloodshed." He said as he got in. "Are you prepared for that, or better still, to find another option? He does intend to keep the casualties low, but he intends to take out the heads of the war effort on both side, the exception of course being himself. He has a small following building up on both sides of the war that will support him, but he intends to force peace on both worlds." He cracked his knuckles, "Banishing such powerful leaders will be difficult, even for you, but he seems to think you'll be able to handle it with time."

Diah followed Isaac in, lifting Carol in behind him. "No," she said coldly. "I'm not prepared to hurt anyone, if it can be avoided at all, I won't. He knows that."

"Then I'd suggest you think up a better solution." Isaac said with a soft smile. "I don't want to see anyone hurt any more than you do, and I think there should be a better way to accomplish what Jin wants. Unfortunately, there are very few Jin will take advice from. You just might be one of them."

She sighed. "Unfortunately, I really don't have any plans either. I really don't know much about this whole thing other than it's been going on for way too long and no one has a good reason for it anymore. I see no reason why they can't just stop, but if that were the case, they would've done that long ago."
