When we went to a tour to this tropical island,
there were lots of monkeys there which were let lose freely as there are no cage for animals there since it's not a zoo.

Except for asking for food, they seemed to be pretty docile,
in fact feeding monkeys are encouraged activities there,
so my Dad decided to pat one of the small sized monkey
which he just gave a banan supplied by the local people,
and when he was averting his eyes, suddenly the monkey open his mouth wide
and bare a pair of HUGE fangs (probably around 20 cm)
and ready to sink them into my Dad's leg! O_O

I was watching so I could screamed and warned him
to move away before more harm was done.
He escaped with a minimum injury.

Turns out you can't pet the monkeys on the head
because they will feel insulted.
The guide didn't tell us that before! >.<

But it was scary and watching the scene
was like something out of a horror movie
where the animal slowly opening their mouth
and get ready to rip apart they prey. ^^;;

Have you ever experience such things?
Maybe being bitten by other animals,
or experience that slow-motion moment before an accident?

my dad got bitten by our dog before i was born. he had to get stitches..and since he used to be a doctor, he did it at home himself o.o
the dog bit him because he touched his nose or something.

Oh my I never knew that either. And it sorta puts a damper on me wanting to pet the cute little monkeys now lol. They are always so cute. I had my daughters picture taken with one once. It was cute but I felt so bad afterwards the man was so mean to the little monkey. I just wanted to bring it home with me and love on it.

I was bitten by a dog when I was younger. It was the neighbors dog and it bit me while out walking with some friends. They took me to the doctor and had the dog put down the same night. I did not want it put down I knew it wasn't really its fault it just did not understand or was frightened or something. It had always been in a bad mood but I still liked the little thing. I cried for days over the little dog.

Not really, at least not by any wild animal. I've been bitten by a dog once and my cats XD.

I got bit by a rat once. It was a pet, so I was fine. I never walked up to animals I didn't know, so I was very lucky to avoid dog bites.

I was bitten by a hamster before. Those little things sure do a good job of causing pain.

Other then that it's usually my brother that gets bitten. He's been bit by dogs, cats, and our younger cousin.

I got bit in the face by a dog when I was about 9, which was pretty terrifying.

It was my best friend's dog, and it had just had puppies, which she was super excited about. She kept wanting me to come over and see them, so finally I relented, and after school we walked over to her house before we went to our after-school club. The moment the dog saw me, it leaped on me; it bit my lip and my arm before my friend's mom pulled it off me.

Partly, my friend and I were at fault, because it's not wise to bring strangers around a new mother of any species, particularly dogs; but also, it wasn't a very well trained dog, and a pitbull to boot, so it had a lot of breeding and poor handling going against it.

well I've been bitten by cats, but that's just play biting....

but otherwise I've had not encounters like that, luckily

Cause you know male hamsters for some reason dont get along and me and my bro were just convoinced if we forced them to play together theyd get along. Instead the kept biting and scratching at each other. And When I tried to pull them apart My hamster bit me on the top of my hand near the thumb. My bro had to force its jaws open to let me go xDD I still have a slight scar lol

I was scared at the time but now I think its soo funny that I got attacked by a hamster.

My dog bit me one time, on the second day of school, because she had a magnet, and this little one is fiesty! If she has it, you have to trick her, BUT I didn't have any time for that so I just stuck my hand in her mouth to pull it out and then BAM one of her SMALL fangs cutted me and it started bleeding >___<
Funny thing is that I have another one a Pomerainian and he's bigger than her and when he bites me it doesn't peel my skin or make me bleed, but when she bites me she peels my skin and she's a Malti-Poo which is smaller than him because he isn't the tea cup size.

I've been bitten by a person before, but that was way back in elementary school and it was on my arm.

Well, I haven't been bitten by an animal... but I get bit by people around this crazy place like every other day... O_o

I was bitten by a hamster once... that was insanely painful because not only did he bite me but i felt his teeth connect on either side of my fingernail...

20cm fangs on a small monkey sounds too unbelievable to be true, actually. That would mean the monkey had larger fangs than the Smilodon or prehistoric sabre-tooth, which would mean the fangs would stick out of the monkey's mouth when it was closed because they would probably be as long or even longer than the monkey's head itself. Fangs like that would be unnecessary for a monkey and horribly impractical on such a small animal.

I got bit by dogs, a cat and tons of insects. :XD Maybe a hamster when I was younger.

I've been bitten by a pit-bull before. Luckily, I was wearing baggy jeans, so the teeth just bruised me before sliding off.

I've played tug-o-war with a chimpanzee before, but I've never been bitten by a monkey. That's quite possibly one of the more amusing things I've heard in a while, actually.

I've been bitten by a variety of bugs, cats and dogs, even a goat once, but nothing else besides that.

I've been bitten by a turtle and a dog.

I don't know what else expect for other people.

They were seriously that long.
It's a small monkey but it's regular sized monkey, just bigger than a cat and seemed to be quite old. So maybe it was some kind of alpha male there or something.
The head was also regular sized, but monkey's head is pretty small, so I also very surprised at the length of those fangs when it opened its mouth. I didn't even know Monkey have fangs, much less that they could be that long. Where did it hide those fangs? >.< I have no idea.
But the amount of monkeys there are thousands (It's a place in tropical island, the place called the monkey temple) so maybe they used the fangs to fight over territories with other monkeys.

Well other than the obvious bug bites, my cat bites me to tell me where to pet him.


He's quite the diva... but that's my extent of being bitten.

I've been bitten by a monkey before. It was these people I used to babysit for's pet monkey. She was really weird about how you petted her, but luckily she was little. She could still bite pretty hard though. I've been bitten by countless hamsters, gerbils, mice, a rat, birds, a Chinese water dragon, a milk snake, dogs, cats, rats, leopard geckos, anoles, needle fish, a wolf, and several other animals. I think my worst one was probably being bitten by an eclectus parrot since it nearly took the tip of my finger off. Funny thing is I still want one as a pet eventually.
