I'm never mistaken for being younger, but older!
When I went to visit my sister, we were catching a bus and the driver was like, "lemme see your student ID, you dont look the age you say you are".
xD

He thought I was over 18 ;[
When I was 14 at the time.

I haven't been mistaken for being younger for years. XD My sister, on the other hand, is 18 and looks about 15.

No. I've always looked mature for my age, and now I've finally grown into it.

I'm 23 years old and I still get people that ask me the question, "So, what grade are you in?" I'm like, "Uh...I graduated college, am a full time career woman, and am married." But I guess I should enjoy looking younger while I still can.

Well I don't have it to such an extent. I am 19 at the moment and people always think that I am still in high school when I graduated two years ago. Even the people I work with who go to high school ask me how old I am and then think I am lying when I tell them.

I have been mistaken for younger, and mistaken for older. lol. 8D

My sister, however, always been mistaken for younger. She is a high school graduate now, (basically senior.. kind of) but always gotten responses like, "You're an 8th grader, right?".. "You're a freshman, right?" Haha, it's pretty much always like that. XD

I don't think I've ever answered this before... oh well. I'll answer it anyway :P

Let me start out by saying I'm 22... it makes sense that I still get carded for alcohol obviously, because I'm still quite young and people tend to card anyone who looks under the age of 35 or 40 here. But the other day I went grocery shopping for the house and decided I wanted to play the lottery... I GOT CARDED FOR A LOTTERY TICKET!! Seriously, you have to be 18 to buy one... do I REALLY look 17 or younger? I don't think so! I just stood there and laughed at the lady. I had to ask her if she was serious.

I guess when I get older if people are still doing that to me I'll at least be flattered... when people do it now I just get irritated! Haha :P

I'm 21, but I've been mistaken for being so much younger than I am. A few years ago, I got mistaken for being 12, twice. Now 15, 16 is normal, but being considered 12 was like wow...how young do I really look to these people? Once was when I went to the zoo, we got into the zoo and I got in on a kid price ticket, and once was at a movie theatre, where I was just about to get in almost on a kids ticket there too.

When my dad and I went to Europe, I was 19, and we got me in on kids price tickets all over the place, because kids were up to 16, 15 there so that was really easy for me to pull off. It was a lot of fun and saved my dad a little bit of money.

Its kinda fun though to be mistaken for being younger, and everyone keeps telling me that I'll appreciate it later on when I am a bit older. And I don't mind being IDed. Its people's jobs to check really, so I don't mind. Blame it on my working at a sub shop where I ID people for their credit cards on occasion.

I don't mind being mistaken as younger than I am. > _> I can be cheap and get into events by passing as a Child Admission, rather than adult. XD

My friend gets mistaken as an older individual. We're both in High School. I look like a 12-year-old and she looks old enough to be in second year of University. We often wonder if people on the street think she's babysitting me or something. XD

When Kitten used to care what she looked like and dressed up in skirts, heels and the rest, she had the opposite problem. She got asked if she wanted vodka on a plain flight when she was 14 :P

Now, Kitten just looks like her age because she doesn't dress up. Kitten will probably start dressing up when she doesn't have to worry about getting baby puke down her shirt :o

A guy I've seen around for a really long time, went to my elementary school, middle school, and high school, is now currently 21, saw me working one day, and he thought I was 15. I'm almost turning 19 soon..but mom said it's a compliment.

...You'd think only the tiny/short people would get mistaken for people younger aye?

I'm 5'5/5'6 (depending on the scale) and honestly?

I get mistaken for someone below my real age a lot.

I have no idea why either.

...Then again it doesn't help I tend to toddle and bounce, skip and hop when I travel from one place to another. So does my choice of clothing.

I tend to don dress up lolita stuff so yeah... That doesn't help either.

In a trip to Thailand, our tour guide Popeye (he says it's what his parents wanted to be someday: big and strong so named him as such) was talking about the use of herbal honey and honeycomb for erectile dysfunctions. We were giggling at how he was putting things then the other tourists with us (same nationality) then go 'Hey, hey... Slow down with the jokes, we have a minor in our midst'

When we stepped down from the van, I remember whining at my mom asking if I was THAT of a kid.

Or how someone thought I was younger than them and boy were they shocked. Since then I was already the 'neechan' and not the 'imouto'. XD;

This topic is a funny one...as a pre-teen and teen I looked about my age. However by the time I was 20 people used to think I was anything but my age. I get carded for entry into the casino, and usually the guard would say I look 17 or 18.

Then there was this young primary school age girl who said I looked I was 25 when I was 20...then another time I reminded her that I was 20 and she said, "Really? You look only 18!"

Hehe...another time a group of girls in their early teens said I looked younger than 18, and this was when I was 21.

Late last year, when I had turned 22, I went on a holiday to Beijing and a 14 year old who was with the tour group I was with said I looked younger than 22 as well, though she didn't specify what age bracket.

Just today I got asked by a shop keeper if I was a uni student, because I was wearing a jumper with my uni's logo on it, and when I said yes, she said I looked younger than uni student age.

Heh, I find it amusing that people still think I look younger than my real age, because I'm not even petit or even slim, but I must have youthful features or something.

I always get mistaken for a younger age. I know eventually that I’ll enjoy looking younger, but right now it’s just kind of annoying. Especially when it comes to finding a job I want. For example I used to work at Wal-mart. Minors are not allowed to work before four in the afternoon because of school issues. If you are a minor and work there, then you are called a Yellow Dot and you literally get a yellow sticker placed on your name badge. Well I only worked at this particular Wal-mart about three weeks and I was asked no less than four times if I was a yellow dot and a couple times they refused to clock me in until they looked at my badge to make sure I didn’t have a hidden sticker on there somewhere. And they were all worried about how I would be late…. *shakes head*

Luckily since I have a college ID I don’t get checked when I go to a movie, but if I don’t have my ID (or before I got one) I was always asked to show ID before I went into a R rated movie.

So yes, looking underage if very, very annoying.

I'm 26, and I usually get mistaken for a 17-19 year old. XD; If I didn't have so much boobage, I'd probably be mistaken for younger than that.

I get carded for everything, and usually I get double takes with my ID, or the person carding me gives me a really long hard disbelieving stare.

One time, I was carded for buying The Sims 2. XD; I guess she must've assumed that I'm under 13 or something.

Under 13? Wow, I'm glad I don't look that young...but then again I'm probably with you on the boobage thing. Mine are...well rather large, so you wouldn't find them on a 12/13 year old. x3 I do get told all the time that I look 14/15 though. -___-;;

lol, you think being 15 and being mistaken for a 12 year old is bad, I'm legal enough to both drink and vote and I'm still mistaken for a 12 year old. One time I went to this restaurant, and I received a children's menu, one that's supposed to be designated for 12 years old. My height is a curse. Everybody in my family is incredibly short, and that causes people to mistake me for much younger than I actually am. It's incredibly annoying at this age, but people in my family age well, and while I feel that age gives people a distinguished look, I'll probably appreciate looking younger than my actual age later on in life. Until then though, being confused for a younger age is a real pain in the butt.

Hehe. I went to a restaurant not too long ago, and out of all of my friends, I was the only one who got carded. And to top it all off, I was the oldest one of us at the table!

But really, I think that's a good thing. Maybe I'll keep that youthly quality through adulthood and always look younger than I am. XP
