It's convenient, especially when you're in a forum
that needs you to hunt for threads with active conversations to join in,
like this Celes Paradi event. xD *coincidence?*

I popped on and saw that and was all "hmmm what is this?" so clicked and was all "wow, Mene is more active than I thought!" I checked announcements to see if this was mentioned and it was not so I'm glad someone made a post here about it (or two someones actually n_~) and some mods explained a bit more. It seems to be a pretty handy feature. n_n

It's a good way to see where people are.

It's no different then the feature posts on Gaia. but I like that feature.:yes:

I noticed it. I think that it's amusing that it's called spy.

It's cool to see the lastest posts in real-time.

It's sorta like Forum Pulse, only I think it's a bit better because Gaia has theirs out at the top of the forum, so it can be sort of distracting if you don't really care. On here you can choose to go have a look , or just go about your business as usual, which I think is a better idea. My sister will happily tell you I'm biased though.

I don't think I'll ever use it : \ I'm not really one to stick to a conversation for more than five minutes anyways. But it is a nice feature for people who like to talk and stuff : D

I think it's a nice feature to have, even if i don't see myself using it. I do like the name though.

I like the feature though. Easier to see what's going on, that way.

i clicked it and checked it out and it is an AMAZING idea really great and super handy. but i find it scrolls by a bit too quickly for my eyes to really focus. i mean once i see the title if i see one i want to click on it tends to disappear before i can click on it it's moving so fast x.x

Amie, there is a pause and play button option for you to stop the rolling if you see a thread you like and want to click. They're in the upper left corner.

I didn't see them myself until someone else in this thread pointed them out. LOL I just put my mouse one or two below what I was going to click to click soon as it went under the mouse arrow. *was a dork*

I won't use it, I think, but it doesn't bother me either. It's good that people are happy with this :3

What perplexes me the most is that they implemented this feature during an event, when the risk of this thing is at its highest. How they endured the lag I will never know. Also, where's the manga link on the dashboard gone? This thing is now in its place.

I think that's why they did it during an event, to help people keep up with what's going on easier when some threads are going at a quick pace.

I too wondered where the Manga link went, but seeing as the Manga won't be out for a while longer (I think?) then they will probably add it back later in another spot or something.

I'm like...kinda private, so ya know it feels weird that whoever happens to be looking can see whatever I'm posting. >.>

I mean, a lot of the people I chat with I'm like really close to. I tell them things sometimes that I don't want everyone and their mother to know. :lol: Sometimes I don't even realize I'm doing it, its just chatting with my friends.
Do you understand what I'm saying? If any of the mods or anyone is reading this, I really hope you aren't mad because this probably took a lot of work.

Maybe there could be some option where our posts could be um...anti-spy? :sweat: Where only mods and those on our friends/contact list could see posts we make? I don't know how realistic that is, but I was going to make something in site feedback about this, because I really don't...like...spy. ); I'm sorry.
Everyone seems to be comparing it to forum pulse on gaia, so I will too: forum pulse doesn't show all the details of the post. So it doesn't creep me out. It just annoys the hell out of me, which this doesn't do at all. xD

"New Post" does it. And, for heaven's sake - look at the front page of Menewsha! (Which used to update every 5 minutes, if I remember correctly...)

You can't say you haven't already been 'spied' upon. XD; This feature is just in real-time. It real-time flows off just as quickly... ^^;

Don't worry-- I don't think you over reacted so much as it just became a bit more apparent how public everyone's posts can be (or already were, sort of). I wouldn't let it phase you and you should still continue posting what you feel comfortable with. :yes:

Nah - no worries. :3 I was kind of, "..." about it at first too until I realized it's exactly like features we already had. XD And I had to go, "Don't be silly, CK." to myself. XD;

It's like the Forum Pulse on Gaia. And wow, Mene actually moves quicker than I thought it did. xD;
